I never did get an ice cream maker, largely because the kitchen in my new place is tiny and lacks a dishwasher. ugh! good thing its got those super deep, 50s and 60s style sinks...that helps, tremendously.
my parents are fond of this gelato stuff, and they'll get me some too, when they're feeling generous...talenti? its really good. I like all the chocolate flavors, but really...the raspberry is good, too. intense flavor like a sorbet, creamy like gelato. the local ingles has a store version that's just as good, at least...the dark chocolate is, anyway...
