"Cuz forward motion is harder than it sounds
Every time I gain some ground I have to turn myself around again
It's harder than it sounds
Every time I gain some ground I have to turn myself around again"

If you go back 2 steps for each step you go forward, and keep walking long enough, then when you get back to the place you started, you will have walked a distance that is 3 times the circumference of the earth.

Interesting lyrics... :)

Some of the Christian rock songs that you listen to are quite thoughtful.

Blessings.

I put a lot of emphasis on lyrics, they're important to me. They can say a lot, and I especially like lyrics I can relate to.

Relient K tends to have some really thoughtful and relatable lyrics, too. (A few examples: More Than Useless, Who I Am Hates Who I've Been, Be My Escape, Up and Up, etc.) Maybe that's the main reason I like their music.

When clear Christian lyrics are reinforced by hard rock style, they can be really effective, also. (Two cents'.)

Blessings.

So what would you say is Relient K's prevailing style?

Blessings.

Well, okay, ty. So how for example would you think their prevailing style compares with that of Disciple (another of your favorites, I think)?

Blessings.
IDK. They're two different things that I just happen to like.

"I’m giving up on doing this alone now
Cause I’ve failed and I’m ready to be shown how
You've told me the way and I’m trying to get there
And this life sentence that I’m serving
I admit that I’m every bit deserving
But the beauty of grace is that it makes life not fair"

"I am a hostage to my own humanity
Self detained and forced to live in this mess I’ve made
And all I’m asking is for you to do what you can with me
But I can’t ask you to give what you already gave"
~from Relient K's 'Be My Escape'

Some lyrics I've always liked.

The last lines of these verses are very expressive! :)

Blessings.

Ladies and Gentlemen,
let us pause and take a look at the most awesome thing you will probably see today:

The tiger squirrel!

Now is that a tirrel? Or a squiger?
