The Diaries of Pontius Pilate

I just finished reading a book last week called, "The Diaries of Pontius Pilate", by Joseph Max Lewis. He is a Christian author. This was the first reading of this book. This is the synopsis on Goodreads of what the book is about: "The Diaries of Pontius Pilate opens when a member of an archeological team is murdered along the shores of the Dead Sea. We learn that the murderer and victim are both spies, observing the expedition and grappling with the fact that the team has just discovered some controversial artifacts.
In fact, Archeologist Kevin Elliot and his Deputy, Jill Gates have unearthed twenty copper scrolls etched with the results of Pontius Pilate’s year long criminal investigation into the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. They manage to open one scroll far enough to take a series of digital photographs of the writings and email them to a Professor of Ancient Latin for translation. It is a great book. It is a work of fiction just so you know, but a very good book. I have it on my Kindle. And it can be described as Suspense Thriller, and and Mystery. It is fast paced with an emphasis on plot rather than characters although there are two characters that are key: Kevin Elliot and Jill Gates.

Thanks for the heads up about this book and brand, new author. I read several of the reviews on "goodreads". It seems to incorporate many of the elements that I enjoy, both in reality and fiction. Archeology, politics, detective/spy, and of coarse faith. It's going on my 'to read' list.

This book certainly is something which I may consider reading after I have concluded my current novel.
