The First People In Heaven – Men

There has been a trend in society, and in Christendom, to promote women over all else. I've sat through many sermons where male preachers purposely degenerate the man to gain favor with his mostly female congregation. In one instance a male pastor stated that a woman, Mary Magdalene, was the true apostle of Jesus Christ for she was the first person to see the resurrected Christ.

This push to make women the hallmark of the Christian faith seems to contradict the bible. God's Holy Spirit reminded me that the first person to be resurrected with Jesus Christ, and therefore one of the first persons to see the resurrected Christ, was a man.

The contrite thief, who was crucified along with Jesus Christ, had asked Jesus to let him be with him in heaven and therefore a man, a common thief, was one of the first persons to see the resurrected Christ in heaven.

Additionally Moses and Elijah were already in heaven to witness the resurrected Christ.

An interesting fact is that the other thief that was crucified along with Christ taunted Jesus like an enraged woman. The 'heckling woman' like thief denigrated Jesus and pestered him to be more 'manly' by saving himself in order to prove his deity.

The two thieves on either side of the crucified Christ represent our flesh and spirit. One desires the pleasures of this world while the other the righteousness of God's kingdom in heaven. Our flesh is like a woman since a woman was created from the flesh of a man.

The flesh desires only one thing, to be God and/or to defy God, as Eve desired in the Garden of Eden. Which is exactly what the one thief on the cross next to Jesus demonstrated, and demanded of Jesus.

The pestering thief next to Christ on the cross was like David's wife, and Moses wife, and Job's wife, and Lot's wife, etc. taunting Jesus to be pleasure for the flesh instead of righteousness for God.

Throughout the life of Jesus Christ women are seen seeking out Jesus while Jesus is seeking out the men. Women had to seek out Jesus while Jesus went to the men. Even at the tomb Mary Magdalene sought out Jesus while Jesus appeared to all the disciples. This demarcation of gender is more evidence that our blurring of gender roles is not Godly!

Believe in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and you'll be included in an existence with God the Father, God the son Jesus Christ, and God the holy Spirit, in heaven forever...just like the contrite thief being crucified next to Christ.

God Bless

Hi Brother ugmug, my question to your thoughts here is that Jesus promised the thief to be with Him in paradise that very day. Where was paradise until Jesus died, went into the lower parts of the earth and took paradise to heaven when He ascended? Thus, all in paradise including women that were in paradise were delivered to heaven at the same time.

Eph 4:8 Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.
Eph 4:9 (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?

Joh 3:13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven . .
Joh 20:17 Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.

Now after Jesus had risen, and took captivity captive, paradise was up in heaven.
2Co 12:4 How that he was caught up into paradise . . .
What do you think?

Right on, Brother! Also, the woman was gifted to man for a helpmate and to promote any woman from the pulpit over a man is incorrec, t and is a sign that churches Pastor is in deep manure. It was not Eve's sin that condemned them and all of their offspring, nope, it was Adam's because it was he that carried the Command not to eat of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and evil.

And Ugmug, you; re way to harsh on the ladies. God made them sexual being, praise God for His wisdom, they are the visually stimulated humans that men are. So Eve was tempted and because she was not adequately prepared by her teacher, Adam. who had walked with God the longest, she ate and then offered to Adam.

It is possible that Eve did not realize she was naked until Adam ate of the fruit. He was the only one god gave the command to. And then, him knowing the Command and he just stood there and let her eat from the tree. And once he had made that mistake, he is standing there looking at the perfect woman, naked a a jay bird. Now surely, you don't think that he is going to not go where she goes, do you?

Now, we are not given a Time-Line for these events but the two of them were directed to fill the Earth with their offspring and there is no reason to believe they did not ¿work? to do so. Im fact, reading the text carefully indicates they did have some chil or children before they were kicked out of the garden because in Genesis 3 God tells Eve thaqt childbirth will be painful NOW indicating it had not been,

With this being the Bible Study section of the forum, Ugmug is there a particular set of Scriptures you are basing your thoughts on or are you doing a flick through the whole Bible? It would make it easier for me if you gave the address of the Scriptures you are talking about because I am lazy and I could just click on it to read the Word instead of trying to find it myself.

I can't find in the Bible the verses you based your following statements on so I am keen to know where they are:
"taunted Jesus like an enraged woman"
"Our flesh is like a woman since a woman was created from the flesh of a man."

With your second statement above, the KJV which I was reading says Gen 2:22 "And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman."
https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Genesis+2&version=KJV

The rib is bone. The rib is not the flesh. According to the KJV I was reading, the woman was not created from the flesh of a man. I am not sure where you got that idea from.

And I am wondering what Scripture you base this statement on:
"The flesh desires only one thing, to be God and/or to defy God, as Eve desired in the Garden of Eden."

My reading of KJV Scripture, the serpent told the woman a few things to entice her including "you shall be as gods" but Scripture clearly lists what it was that actually tempted Eve. Look at the list: good for food, pleasant to the eye, desired to make one wise. So, the Bible is very clear on this, Eve did not take the fruit because she wanted to be God and/or to defy God. Desiring wisdom is not a sin. Neither is thinking something is good for food. She did the wrong thing, no doubt about that, but the Bible clearly tells what motivated her. She was deceived into sinning (1 Tim 2:14), she was not motivated by desire to be a god or to defy God.

Here is the Scriptures I refer to above:

https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Genesis+3&version=KJV
4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

Galatians 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

John 3:12 If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things? 13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.

Captivity captive
Ephesians 4:7 But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.
Ephesians 4:8 Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.
Ephesians 4:9 (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?
Ephesians 4:10 He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)

vs 8. This is what captivity captive means. First Jesus was raised up in glory to sit at the right hand of God where Angels, authorities and powers were made subject to Him. He was given authority over every spiritual force in heaven and on earth that has warred against the kingdom and people of God. He exercised this authority while here on Earth as living in a fleshly body, but through the resurrection and ascension He completely defeated his adversaries as now He was in a place of total victory.
vs 9. the lower parts of the Earth only means that once Jesus was resurrected from the tomb He ascended into Heaven where all power and authority was given him to defeat His adversaries. Remember when He told Mary Magdalene not to touch him when she saw Him at the tomb, it was because He had not yet ascended to the Father yet. Jesus returned to earth once again in the form of flesh for 40 days as He was seen by over 500, 1Corinthians 15:4-7, but now having full power and authority His purpose was in redeeming man and destroying the works of Satan. Jesus gathered those disciples into the upper room to reveal himself in all His glory as even Thomas doubted that it was Jesus until he touched the nail prints in His hands and the Spirit of God revealed to all of them this was truly the Christ. It was there that they were instructed to wait for the Holy Spirit to indwell them so they had that same power and authority in the flesh to carry on the task they were called for.
