One of the specific issues regarding the wrong application of the TRUE understanding of the Love of God, is the fact that the Holiness of God is not discussed enough, or preached about enough, or thought about enough.
When is the last time you saw a T-shirt or a Bumper sticker that said...."God is Holy"?
When is the last time a TV preacher spent one full program talking about "The Holiness Of God".
Here is a way to think of God's holiness so that you mentally process a biblical "fear", which is to say a Healthy Respect...
> "God's Holiness would make the SUN seem like an ICE CUBE with regard to HEAT".<
Also....., Christians in general have a slightly warped view of their Messiah......That is to say that they only consider Him a LAMB, but they do not understand that although He was a Lamb as a man for the sake of the Cross.... YET before the Cross and after His Resurrection He is a UNIVERSAL KING in eternal reality.....In fact He is THE LION of Judah.
Most Christians, when they think of... "And God created the Heavens and the earth"...ETC.....They dont realize that this is speaking about JESUS..
Say what?????
Did you ever pay attention to John 1:3 and then John 1:10?.......How about Colossians 1:16?..........All those verses are not talking about Father Jehovah........They are talking about the 2nd Adam.
And so..... just to dial it in correctly and thoroughly so that you can know what a "fear" of the Lord can point to and distinguish, for the sake of the unbelievers, = the Christ Rejectors...
Read Carefully.... 2nd Thessalonians 1:8-9 .. and find out exactly who that LAMB is, that died for you...
