I did take the time to post an intro - just hasn't been approved yet... nevertheless, I wanted to jump into this section of the forum.

I'm trained as an electrical and instrumentation technician, and work for a large electrical cooperative. We're unionized, and payed extremely well. My heart isn't in it though... not at all. I am also not having much of an impact on people in a positive way - and there isn't a way to do so in my field.

Over the past few months, I've been strongly considering buying into the Anytime Fitness franchise, and opening a club out of state (and moving of course). I've done something I've never done with a career before: I put this before the Lord before I began writing my business plan, pro-forma, etc.

I have a strong sensation that this is the way I am supposed to go. I put the Lord first, and I would imagine that he will open the doors to make things happen when you put your intentions before him so he can use it for his glory.

My question; How do you know / how can you tell if taking a certain path is the thing God wants for you, and if he blesses it / condones it?

Second, I have done a lot of due diligence into this franchise, and was wondering if anyone else has experience with them on this forum, so I could get even more feedback?

I dont believe you can every be 100% sure that this is what you are supposed to do. I think that is part of the faith that you have to put in God.

A "strong sensation" seems to me like God is telling you to do it.

If you have the right intentions for your business and you believe this is what your supposed to do, then I believe its what your supposed to do.

But remember, just because God wants you to do it, doesnt mean it will be a profitable business right away (or ever). This may just be part of your journey.

I hope this helps and I wish you well in this.
