I sense an interesting fact about the Glory of Elohim (God). Familiarity breads contempt. This thought came to me Mr. Rider, as I was studying what you wrote. There is something very good and special that Elohim is keeping secret from mankind, and that is His GLORY.

Yahshua (Jesus) came to earth displaying what His Abba Father was like BUT did not show mankind His Father's GLORY, that has to remain secret until we can see it without dying. There are many reasons why, I suppose. One might be, mankind saw the Christ and weren't impressed, in fact hated Him.

Is God saving the best for last?? I can't wait.

There are may indeed be many reasons, but there is only one reason that stands out to me. Because of the tree of knowledge, man has used the law to measure there own self righteousness while condemning others unrighteousness. For in the day you eat thereof, you shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. Man is more interested in showing themselves that they are god rather than seeking the one true God.

Is God saving the best for last?? I can't wait.

I understand the sentiment, but why wait when the time is now. For me, I can't doesn't work when I add in the word Lord. I (can't) wait upon the Lord.

Is God saving the best for last? For the first shall be last and the last first. If you were to consider the marriage of the bridegroom, what comes last is those on the outside when the door is shut. One of the first miracles Jesus performed was turning water into wine. What was said of that wine?

If we say we can't wait, then what is it we are waiting for. Are we waiting for the cork to pop from the wine-skin so we can breath in the aroma of the new wine? And if we should wait for the cork to pop, then how shall we sing and glory in the making of the wine?

Trying to describe God's glory from Scripture to men is like trying to describe a rainbow to a blind man. When God speaks of men being blind and deaf of God, He is speaking of the heart and soul of men. Men can now see the Glory and approach God under the New Covenant. (Heb. 12:18-24) The saved man now can see God's face (John 14:7-14)....and his glory, in Jesus, (2 Cor. 4:6) God's Christ, and the natural man can see God's glory in creation (Rom. 1:19-20). And those who can not see His Glory are not looking for it.
In Christ, God's Glory.
Douglas Summers

Thank you Douglas, that was a perfect segue in to the next set of scriptures I was going to post.

We have seen from the scriptures how the Glory of the Lord abode upon the mountain as a fire and a cloud and darkness. And when the people heard the voice of words from the midst of the fire, they withdrew themselves and chose rather to follow after a man. For no man could look upon his face and live, and to hear the Voice of Words meant Death. But is that true for a man of Faith? Did Moses speak with God and live? Was Moses face to face with God when the glory of the Lord was burned into face?

Exodus 33:21-23
And the Lord said, Behold, there is a place by me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock: And it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a clift of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by: And I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my back parts: but my face shall not be seen.

Behold, there is a place beside me.... Jesus, standing on the right hand of God.

Acts 7:55
But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God,

...and thou shalt stand upon a rock..... Christ is our Rock.

1 Corinthians 10:4
And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.

...and thou shalt see my back parts: but my face shall not be seen.

Consider the disciples. They walked with Jesus and talked with him face to face, but they were without understanding. They were without understanding until after Jesus had risen and ascended to the Father. They were without understanding until they receive the Holy Spirit. Of the Spirit, it was said Christ would baptize you with Fire, and then you shall see his back parts.

Because the people retreated and withdrew themselves from the presence of the Glory of the Lord and would not hear the voice of Words from the midst of the fire, He promised to send them a prophet who would speak His words for Him, that they might hear His words the people would not hear form the midst of the fire.

Deuteronomy 18:15-19
The Lord thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken; According to all that thou desiredst of the Lord thy God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, Let me not hear again the voice of the Lord my God, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I die not. And the Lord said unto me, They have well spoken that which they have spoken. I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him. And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him. (Acts 3:19-24;

John 17:5-8
And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was. I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word. Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are of thee. For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.

Acts 7:37-39
This is that Moses, which said unto the children of Israel, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear. This is he, that was in the church in the wilderness with the angel which spake to him in the mount Sina, and with our fathers: who received the lively oracles to give unto us: To whom our fathers would not obey, but thrust him from them, and in their hearts turned back again into Egypt,

Because the people would not receive the the Spirit of God and the voice of Words from the midst of the fire in the presence of the Glory of the Lord, He gave to them the ten commandment to follow. From the voice of words out of the midst of the fire, 10 thou shalt not's, or the consequence was death.

He saved this great mystery to be revealed to those who overcome through Faith, to those who receive of the hidden manna (Rev 2:17) as the Glory of the Lord is revealed in the Morning Dew.

Psalms 133
Behold, how good and how pleasant it is
for brethren to dwell together in unity!
It is like the precious ointment upon the head,
that ran down upon the beard,
even Aaron's beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments;
As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion:
for there the Lord commanded the blessing,
even life for evermore.

Matthew 5:1-13

And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him: And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying,
Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

The 10 blessings that descend as thew morning dew. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. What does it mean to be pure of heart? Does it mean your holy and without sin? No. It means that you seek the Lord with all your heart, all your soul and all of your mind. If you are busy pointing out the sins of others, then your heart is not pure, for it is still seeking sin: If you are seeking sin, then you are not seeking after the Glory of the Lord.

Matthew 5:8
Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.

John 14:15-20
If ye love me, keep my commandments. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also. At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.

The world can not receive of the morning dew, because it is hidden from them. They still glory in a sacrifice for sin and the things of the flesh. They still seek after a covering to hide themselves from Death. But to follow Jesus is to follow him to the death of the cross, for he has become Death for us, just as he has become our Life in the Resurrection: which comes only after we come to the knowledge of Death.

Romans 6:1-4
What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

Romans 6:5
For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:

I had hoped there would have been more interest in this subject than there has been thus far; Like the children of Israel before them, perhaps they draw back from the thought of the Glory of the Lord in Fire and Death. What does the scripture say? With their lips they do honor me, but their hearts are far from me? Likewise, the scriptures say many are called, but few are chosen. They were bidden to come to the wedding, but they made light of it, or had more pressing matters, such as defending the doctrines and traditions of men, or trying trying to use their faith to promote the infallibility of the Bible rather that standing aside so their Faith might glorify Christ.

A Trump blows long from the white house, and the people chase after its strange sound. The tares of the field responding to the call; vessels of destruction stepping forth to make their fruits known before all the heavens, gathered first of the angels to be burned in the fire. The Tares of the field are not interested in the Glory of the Lord, they are too busy trying to declare their own.

When people continue to debate the scriptures and the doctrines of men, then they are like prideful children still wandering to and fro in the desert searching for manna and claiming that which they have gathered is better than the manna gathered by another. They glory in the manna they have gathered rather than Glory in the Lord who provided the manna. It doesn’t matter if you are Catholic of a follower of Luther. It doesn’t matter if you trust in the doctrines of Calvin, or even those of Joseph Smith. For all the doctrines and traditions of men bring you to the same place: they are all paths that lead you to the Cross, but they can take you no further. All paths will lead a man to the cross, but where people get lost is those doctrines then find ways to keep you before the cross. Then when two neighbors meet along the way, they find themselves debating and arguing the best path to the cross and what they must do to wait there until their master comes. But Jesus isn’t on the cross, he has risen, he is in the city.

If they can not leave the cross and come in to the city, or if they are frightened at the thought the Glory of the Lord as a consuming fire and they turn back, then they shall enter in by the broad way. But straight is the way and narrow is the gate, and few they be that find it. Jesus said it was so narrow, that a rich man could not enter in. In fact it is so narrow, that to pass through, you must let go of your doctrines and traditions of men; they have led you to the cross, but they can take you no further. Does a mountain climber take with him all his wares, or does he take with him only that with is necessary?

The Lord charged Moses to make the people ready against the third day, and when the trumpet blew long, then they were to come up the mountain; But they drew away back and followed after a man instead. Paul told us we are not come to the mountain that burned with fire and tempest and darkness; but we are come to Mt Sion and the New Jerusalem.

Jesus was charged with building the temple to the Lord. He said destroy this temple, and after two days he would raise it up again. Jesus also spoke of the resurrection, saying no sign would be given, but that of Jonah the prophet. In Hosea it is written after two days he would revive us, on the third day he would raise us up, then shall we know if we follow on to know the Lord in the resurrection. If you follow on to seek the Glory of the Lord and not turn aside, then you might come to the wedding feast, for it was on the third day that Jesus turned the water into new wine.

I began the OP looking to show the Glory of the Lord in light of Matthew 16:27 where it is written the Son of Man shall come in the Glory of His Father. What is the Glory of the Father? We have looked at the Glory of the Lord as a mountain burning with fire, with the thick cloud of a furnace, and with a Voice of Words heard from the midst of the fire accompanied by thunders and lightenings. Well, before we go any further in this study, let me take a moment to share with you the revelation of Jesus Christ.

Revelation 1:1-3
The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John: Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw. Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.

Revelation 1:7
Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.

Revelation 1:12-16
And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks; And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle. His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters. And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.

If you wish to look upon Christ, you will have to look into the flame.

Isaiah 26:19
Thy dead men shall live,
together with my dead body shall they arise.
Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust:
for thy dew is as the dew of herbs,

and the earth shall cast out the dead.

My speech shall distill as the dew.......

A thought for you to consider if you wish to listen to the still small voice and receive the Word of the Lord in the morning dew. For morning dew is only laid upon the tender herb that sits where it has been planted; but to the plant that sits beneath the covering the dew shall not come.

Isaiah 26:20-21
Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers,
and shut thy doors about thee:
hide thyself as it were for a little moment,
until the indignation be overpast.
For, behold, the Lord cometh out of his place
to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity:
the earth also shall disclose her blood,
and shall no more cover her slain.

Like Passover in the land of Egypt. Paint your door post with lamb's blood and shut the doors about you. Hide thyself for a moment as the angel of Death passes by. Hide thyself in the cleft of the Rock until the Glory of the Lord passes by.

2 Corinthians 2:14-17
Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place. For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish: To the one we are the savour of death unto death; and to the other the savour of life unto life. And who is sufficient for these things? For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.

We are the sweet savour of Christ unto the Father; whether it be from life unto life, or death unto death: even the second death.

2 Corinthians 2:14-17

For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish: To the one we are the savour of death unto death; and to the other the savour of life unto life. Thanks again EZ, Giving thanks to God through Jesus Christ, Glorifies The Father. (Rom. 15:6-9)

Throughout this thread, we have been looking at the Glory of the Lord as He appeared in the fire of flame and the furnace of clouds that descended upon the mountain in the sight of all Israel, and the voice of words did speak to them from the midst of the fire, but the people turned away because they feared their own death in talking with God. Because the peoples turned their backs on the Lord and chose to follow after man instead, Moses became to them the mediator of the covenant with Death. The Glory of Lord spoke the Voice of Words to Moses from the flame the words of the covenant of death to give unto the people to follow, and in doing so the Glory of the Lord was impressed upon Moses so that he had to wear a veil over his face to cover the glory that shown upon him for the people did fear to look upon him.

But the scriptures as revealed by the Holy Spirit have shown us that the glory that Moses held had an end, but they could not see to that end because of the veil that Moses wore to cover the glory.

2 Corinthians 3:4-6
And such trust have we through Christ to God-ward: Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God; Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.

2 Corinthians 3:7-11
But if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away: How shall not the ministration of the spirit be rather glorious? For if the ministration of condemnation be glory, much more doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory. For even that which was made glorious had no glory in this respect, by reason of the glory that excelleth. For if that which is done away was glorious, much more that which remaineth is glorious.

2 Corinthians 3:12-17
Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech: And not as Moses, which put a vail over his face, that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished: But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ. But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart. Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away. Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

Now because the children of Israel would not receive the Spirit of the Word written into their hearts as the Glory of the Lord appeared as a on mountain on fire, when the Voice of Words thundered from the cloud of fire; But the Lord instructed Moses and his prophets to follow, that because they feared their death to hear the voice of words from the fire and flame, that he would send unto them a Son of Man who would be filled with the Spirit of the Lord and would speak forth the Voice of Words all that was commanded him to speak. He sent forth those words as the morning dew, spoken not from flame, but from the heart of a man; whom the disciples did confirm, as the Voice of Words thundered from cloud above, this is My Beloved Son. Hear ye Him.

But as the voice the declared, God is a Spirit and No Image shall be formed. So to the cross he went, the image to be destroyed, that through the resurrection, his Spirit might be deployed: Without the fire and flame and without the fear of Death, that by his Spirit if we shall receive, the Voice of Words written upon our heart. And the Glory of the Lord shall be revealed, when the veil of death is removed from the flesh.

2 Corinthians 3:12-18
Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech: And not as Moses, which put a vail over his face, that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished: But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ. But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart. Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away. Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

Which glory is it that you seek after? The glory that comes by the righteousness of following a law? A glory unto death? Or have you let the ministration of death complete its work in you so you can move on to walk according to faith and seek after the Righteousness of God and the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord that remains hidden behind a veil of death; Even the veil of the flesh.

Hebrews 10:19-20
Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;
