The thought of the Glory of the Lord has rested upon my mind for some time now. When I started this study on the Glory of the Lord, I set out with the goal in mind to show from the scriptures the Glory of the Lord as seen and witnessed in FIRE. But once I started this study, the Lord has shown me something else. He has shown me while His Glory will be seen in the Fire, it is in the DEW that we shall hear of His Glory. It is in the Dew that He will manifest His Glory. For the Dew is the hidden manna given to those who overcome. For all flesh is grass, and the glory thereof as a flower. But as the dew lays upon the tender herb and as the showers upon the grass, so the manna shall appear as the the Spirit of the Lord blows upon it. For the flower fades, and the grass withers, but the Word of the Lord shall stand.

I am back from my trip and ready to continue with this study on the Glory of the Lord. I hope you will join me in this revelation of the Glory our Lord as it is revealed throughout the scriptures and in the hidden manna received with the morning dew.

I lost my mother last August, and my father followed four months after, passing just before Christmas. My mother had donated her body to science, and her remains were not returned until a few months ago. We decided have a family gathering one last time in the old farmhouse for Christmas before it is gone, and then lay my mothers remains to rest with my fathers on the anniversary of his funeral. We had a beautiful little ceremony in heavy falling snow. My little 13 year old niece wrote a short poem for her mother to read that absolutely blew me away: out of the mouths of children!!!!

While I was there, I visited with my aunt who is now 93 years old, she was my father’s older sister, and she was also my godmother for my baptism nearly 53 years ago. Since my baptism as a baby, I can not every recall going to church with my aunt, let alone a church in my hometown. With my aunt being frail and on oxygen, along with the snow and icy roads, I asked her if I could pick her up and take her to the Sunday morning service on Christmas Eve. It made her day. She told me how she has always worried about my grandfather, her father, because she could never get him to go to a church, though she tried until the day he died a week after his 100th birthday. She has told me this before and it has always weighed heavy upon her heart. I assured her that she had nothing to worry about; I knew grandpa, and I could tell her with confidence that he knew the Lord, because he spoke to me of God as a child. I explained to her that grandpa never rejected God, what he had rejected was the hypocrisy of the church, and so he refused to enter one.

But if I could go back one more time and sit with my grandfather, I think I would try to explain to him that although I understood his steadfastness in refusal, going to the church was not about his salvation, but rather about comforting others in their salvation. And so I invited my niece to come along as well. My aunt was so very happy that we came and picked her up and went to church with her.

At the end of service, the pastor took a few minutes to invite everyone back that evening for a candle lit Christmas Eve service. Now the pastor asked his congregation to think upon something. He said in this dark old building, if we hold up one candle, its not going to be very bright in here; but if we all come together and we each hold up a candle, then won’t it be a just a little but brighter in here? Well, I have thought upon that question, as I have thought upon the ropes of bondage the servant cast forth. I asked my Lord if the servants of the field do not yet know how to use the ropes that once bound them, nor do they know how to work together as one, then how does a son teach them?

So because the pastor had invited all to come together and hold a candle, the Lord asked me to consider the candles; what did I see? And when I looked, I saw how one person holding a single candle provided some light, but it was dim, barely lighting that which surrounded him. Then I looked and saw the others, how they too held their own candle, and together they provided a little more illumination; but as I looked closer, I saw that each was still holding his own candle, providing what light they could. Then I considered the ropes of bondage that the servants still carried about, for as the candle, they too each carried their own rope.

And as I considered, the Lord asked, do you not yet see? For the ropes of bondage my servants do carry are the doctrines and traditions of men. With every denomination, the rope was woven slightly different, but it was sufficient to the task of binding them to a schoolmaster for a season or two. And then I understood that the servants of the field, although they have been set free from their bondage, they will be unable to work together until they can lay down the ropes that once bound them. They must lay down the ropes of their doctrines and traditions of men, and take ahold together of that one rope that is Christ.

Then the Lord asks me, what of the candles? And I said they each hold unto themselves their own lit candle, shining forth their own light. And in the darkness, that light does not cast a long shadow. For indeed when they put forth their own light it was so dim as to barely see the walls of the basket that covered them. And the Lord showed me as they must learn to lay down the ropes that once bound them, they must also learn to douse their own lights, so that the Glory of the Lord might be manifest in them in the midst of the darkness; and when that glory shall shine forth, there shall be no bushel to contain it. As the friend of the bridegroom said, I must decrease, so that He may increase.

We can find Gods glory in even the simplest things of this earth if we look hard enough. You mentioned the dew and it reminded me of the dew in Genesis. Genesis 2:6 But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground.
God had not caused it to rain on the earth yet and it was from within the earth that Gods glory in the dew sprang up to water the ground causing the plants to grow and flourish. That is Gods glory in us that His Spirit springs up inside of us that we grow Spiritually and flourish in all His truths by that living water that is His pure word.

Exodus 3:1-4
Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father in law, the priest of Midian: and he led the flock to the backside of the desert, and came to the mountain of God, even to Horeb. And the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed. And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt. And when the Lord saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I.

The angel of the Lord appeared to Moses in a flame of fire. As it is in this flame of fire that the glory of the Lord was visible to Moses. When Moses saw it, he determined that he must turn aside and see this great sight. This great sight, being the Glory of the Lord. Like Moses, if we wish to look upon this great sight, them we must also be willing to turn aside. To turn aside from the politic and the things that pertain to the flesh. To turn aside from the doctrines and traditions of men, and to turn aside from our own presuppositions. To turn aside from trying to justify our own shortcomings, or trying to prove our self worth. If we are to look upon the Glory of the Lord, then we must turn aside from all these things and look, so that we might see this great sight for ourselves. And like Moses, when the Lord see's that you are willing to risk your own life and turn aside to see this great sight, then he shall answer you.

Matthew 25:1-13
Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not. Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

The ten virgins all thought they had oil to burn in their lamps, and they all slept and slumbered. But at midnight a cry went forth, and they all rose to go forth to meet the bridegroom. The oil was needed so that their way might be lit in the darkest of hours. Now the foolish took no oil with them, but that does not mean there was no oil in there lamp to begin with; and likewise the wise virgins feared that they might not have enough oil for themselves.

For each of the virgins, the oil that filled their lamps before they departed was mined from the scriptures and the word of God. And the oil that was mined was the Promise of the Holy Spirit. Now when they each arose to go forth they lit their lamps, and they did burn for a while as they went forth and trimmed them.

Now the foolish virgins took no oil with them, meaning they did not know the Spirit of the Lord within them. Soon their lamps went out and they were left alone in the dark, sent off to buy from those who sell. And like the oil barrens and profiteers, the power from the light of the Son has been suppressed that they might sell unto you their oil. And like those who pillage for profit by fracking for oil, or those who would squeeze every drop of oil they can from the tar sands at the expense of the common wealth, the foolish virgins return again to the Bible or to those who sell books about the Bible, trying to squeeze every last drop of oil that remains from the dried ink on the pages of a book. The foolish virgins never understood that for all the oil they might mine, and for all the oil that they might purchase, there is never enough oil to sustain the lamp, for it soon burns dim before it need more oil.

Now the wise virgins started off with the same oil in their lamps as did the foolish, but the wise virgins took some oil with them, and they carried that oil in their container of Faith. Now after they has arose and went forth, they lit their lamps and trimmed them, and when their lamps began to dim and the darkness overtake them they did not turn back, but they called upon their Faith and it sustained them for a while and their lamp remained lit. But the wise virgins were called wise for a reason, for they perceived that the oil of their faith was no different than the oil they first began with; the oil mined from the scriptures. And as the oil of their faith weakened to the point that there lamps were barely lit, they drew on their last bit of faith and called upon the Lord to lighten their way in the darkness. And when they saw that the Lord did send forth His Spirit to lighten their way, and that the darkness was not as frightful as they thought, they learned to trust in the Lord and to trust in His Spirit.

Now trusting in the Spirit of the Lord to lighten the way before them, the wise virgins found that if they took their eyes off the path for a moment to gaze at the world around them they would quickly loose sight of that light, and they would once again stumble around in the darkness until they call upon the Lord once again. Soon the Lord reminds them that they should carry a little extra oil with them, and so He gives to them the gift of His Faith. Now back on their way with their lamps lit and trim, when the wise virgins find the darkness deepening around them, they soon discover that once they call upon that Faith to refuel their lamp, that they are soon able to trim their lamp to meet the magnitude of darkness before them. And as the darkness grows around them, their lamps begin to burn brighter, and soon they discover that once they have called upon that gift of Faith, that the Spirit of the Lord sustains them and that His oil does not diminish.

Our light begins to shine brighter and our Faith begins to grow when we can learn to express the Word of God within us rather than just the word of God as it found in the ink on the pages of a book.

Exodus 24:15-18
And Moses went up into the mount, and a cloud covered the mount. And the glory of the Lord abode upon mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it six days: and the seventh day he called unto Moses out of the midst of the cloud. And the sight of the glory of the Lord was like devouring fire on the top of the mount in the eyes of the children of Israel. And Moses went into the midst of the cloud, and gat him up into the mount: and Moses was in the mount forty days and forty nights.

The sight of the glory of the Lord in the eyes of the children, meaning that which was visible, is described as both a cloud and a devouring fire. Moses saw a bush burn with fire that was not consumed. This is important to remember, as we shall consider it again later. Because to Moses, who had turned aside to see this great sight for himself, the glory of the Lord appeared as a flame that did not consume the bush; But to those who do not know the Lord, and for those unwilling to turn aside from their doctrines and traditions of men, the glory of the Lord is seen as a devouring fire, or as it is written in the scriptures, our Lord is a consuming fire.

I thought it would be beneficial to this great thread of ezrider if everyone knew just what the Glory of God is. God's Glory is everything that is splendid about Him. Glory is God's Honor, dignity, and Reputation.

Great thread ez, very good teaching to be sure. Thank you!

I can only imagine that awesome event, when the priests were so taken back by the very rare appearance of the Glory of the Lord Elohim in that holy cloud that filled Solomon's Temple. I would have hit the floor in absolute awe and reverence, praise and worship.
I saw the Shekinah Glory of the Lord (the first time) as a young man while praying for my sister.. The Glory (Shekinak) of God can also be felt. Shekinah Glory is the presence or manifestation of God among a supplication and praying saint or saints and called preaching pastor. This can only be understood by those who have felt or seen His Shekinah Glory. Some may not have understood it, but make no mistake, you felt the presence of The Glory of God. The word Shekinah is not in Scripture, but it's Hebrew definition is. (to fill or dwell or take up residence by God). There is no mistaking the Shekinah Glory of God or wondering of His Glory (presence) because He is doing the outpouring or teaching through you fluently without flaw and leaving an astonishing moment of clarity.

Exodus 19:10-13
And the Lord said unto Moses, Go unto the people, and sanctify them to day and to morrow, and let them wash their clothes, And be ready against the third day: for the third day the Lord will come down in the sight of all the people upon mount Sinai. And thou shalt set bounds unto the people round about, saying, Take heed to yourselves, that ye go not up into the mount, or touch the border of it: whosoever toucheth the mount shall be surely put to death: There shall not an hand touch it, but he shall surely be stoned, or shot through; whether it be beast or man, it shall not live: when the trumpet soundeth long, they shall come up to the mount.

Exodus 19:16-22
And it came to pass on the third day in the morning, that there were thunders and lightnings, and a thick cloud upon the mount, and the voice of the trumpet exceeding loud; so that all the people that was in the camp trembled. And Moses brought forth the people out of the camp to meet with God; and they stood at the nether part of the mount. And mount Sinai was altogether on a smoke, because the Lord descended upon it in fire: and the smoke thereof ascended as the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mount quaked greatly. And when the voice of the trumpet sounded long, and waxed louder and louder, Moses spake, and God answered him by a voice. And the Lord came down upon mount Sinai, on the top of the mount: and the Lord called Moses up to the top of the mount; and Moses went up. And the Lord said unto Moses, Go down, charge the people, lest they break through unto the Lord to gaze, and many of them perish. And let the priests also, which come near to the Lord, sanctify themselves, lest the Lord break forth upon them.

This is the description of the Glory of the Lord as it came down in the sight of all people. Paul gives witness to this account.

Hebrews 12:18-21
For ye are not come unto the mount that might be touched, and that burned with fire, nor unto blackness, and darkness, and tempest, And the sound of a trumpet, and the voice of words; which voice they that heard intreated that the word should not be spoken to them any more: (For they could not endure that which was commanded, And if so much as a beast touch the mountain, it shall be stoned, or thrust through with a dart: And so terrible was the sight, that Moses said, I exceedingly fear and quake)

If we are to lay down the ropes that bind us, to let go of the doctrines and traditions of men or fables of the imagination, then we must accept what the scripture declare about the appearance of the Glory of the Lord in the sight of the peoples.

The Glory of the Lord in the sight of the people is described as:
A thick Cloud
A devouring Fire
The smoke of a furnace
Blackness
Darkness
Tempest
The Voice of Words

If we were to apply a shadow and a type, does Christ sanctify us and make us ready? To make us ready against the third day?

Recall Jesus said there shall be no sign given except that of Jonah the prophet.

If a day with the Lord is as a thousand years, and a thousand years are as a day, does that mean two days are as two thousand years?

2 Peter 3:7-10
But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

Hosea 6:1-3
Come, and let us return unto the Lord:
for he hath torn, and he will heal us;
he hath smitten, and he will bind us up.

After two days will he revive us:
in the third day he will raise us up,
and we shall live in his sight.

Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the Lord:
his going forth is prepared as the morning;
and he shall come unto us as the rain,
as the latter and former rain unto the earth.

From the Glory of the Lord in the Cloud of devouring fire, back to the blessing of the morning dew. For after two days he shall revive us and we shall live in his sight. THEN SHALL WE KNOW if we follow on to KNOW THE LORD, to know the Glory of the Lord. But do not be remiss of what is written, for after two days, not all are revived to live in his sight, for some are called forth to the resurrection of death. Are you following on to Know the Lord, to know His Glory and His Righteousness? Or do you continue to look after sin?

Daniel 12:1-4
And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book. And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever. But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

Blessed is the Lamb.

Yes, Blessed is the lamb of God that taketh away the sins of the world. If I could repeat that one more time for emphasis, He TAKES AWAY the SINS of the world. Why then do those who call themselves after his name set out then to establish the sins of the world? If we spend our days commenting on politics and the sins of others, then do we glory in the darkness? If we glory in the things of the world, how then shall we seek after the things that pertain to God?

To Stephen was given the crown of life, but the name of Dan was written out from among his brethren.

Isaiah 60:1-2
Arise, shine; for thy light is come,
and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.
For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth,
and gross darkness the people:
but the Lord shall arise upon thee,
and his glory shall be seen upon thee.

Deuteronomy 4:9-12
Only take heed to thyself, and keep thy soul diligently, lest thou forget the things which thine eyes have seen, and lest they depart from thy heart all the days of thy life: but teach them thy sons, and thy sons' sons; Specially the day that thou stoodest before the Lord thy God in Horeb, when the Lord said unto me, Gather me the people together, and I will make them hear my words, that they may learn to fear me all the days that they shall live upon the earth, and that they may teach their children. And ye came near and stood under the mountain; and the mountain burned with fire unto the midst of heaven, with darkness, clouds, and thick darkness. And the Lord spake unto you out of the midst of the fire: ye heard the voice of the words, but saw no similitude; only ye heard a voice.

Take heed to yourself what is recorded and keep your soul diligently, lest you forget what their eye did see, for they saw the Glory of the Lord upon the mountain. The Glory of the Lord appeared as a mountain that burned with fire unto the midst of heaven, with the darkness of clouds; And they heard the voice of words speak out of the midst of the fire.

Deuteronomy 4:27-33
And the Lord shall scatter you among the nations, and ye shall be left few in number among the heathen, whither the Lord shall lead you. And there ye shall serve gods, the work of men's hands, wood and stone, which neither see, nor hear, nor eat, nor smell. But if from thence thou shalt seek the Lord thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul. When thou art in tribulation, and all these things are come upon thee, even in the latter days, if thou turn to the Lord thy God, and shalt be obedient unto his voice; (For the Lord thy God is a merciful God;) he will not forsake thee, neither destroy thee, nor forget the covenant of thy fathers which he sware unto them. For ask now of the days that are past, which were before thee, since the day that God created man upon the earth, and ask from the one side of heaven unto the other, whether there hath been any such thing as this great thing is, or hath been heard like it? Did ever people hear the voice of God speaking out of the midst of the fire, as thou hast heard, and live?

Are you ready to turn aside and see this thing for yourself? Are you ready to let go of the doctrines and traditions of men that blind you to the Glory of the Lord? If your to busy trying to defend the doctrines and traditions of men, or if your preoccupied with Trump, or debating politics and the institutions of men, then can you say that you seek the Lord with all your heart?

Matthew 15:3-9
But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition? For God commanded, saying, Honour thy father and mother: and, He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death. But ye say, Whosoever shall say to his father or his mother, It is a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me; And honour not his father or his mother, he shall be free. Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition. Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying, This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

If you are ready to let go of the doctrines and traditions of men, if you are ready to turn aside and see this great mystery for yourself, then consider for yourself the question asked:

For ask now of the days that are past, which were before thee, since the day that God created man upon the earth, and ask from the one side of heaven unto the other, whether there hath been any such thing as this great thing is, or hath been heard like it? Did ever people hear the voice of God speaking out of the midst of the fire, as thou hast heard, and live?

I should explain a bit about what I meant about Gods full glory. I'm not talking about actually seeing God face to face as no one can see His face and live, Exodus 33:20.

Exodus 33:17 "And the LORD said unto Moses, I will do this thing also that thou hast spoken: for thou hast found grace in my sight, and I know thee by name.
33:18 And he said, I beseech thee, shew me thy glory.
33:19 And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the LORD before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy.
33:20 And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live.
33:21 And the LORD said, Behold, there is a place by me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock:
33:22 And it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a clift of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by:
33:23 And I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my back parts: but my face shall not be seen."

Both for_his_glory and Chopper quoted the scriptures we shall start with on this journey of discovery for those who would seek the Lord with all their heart, with all their soul, and with all their mind, that they might know the Glory of the Lord.

Exodus 33:17-23
And the Lord said unto Moses, I will do this thing also that thou hast spoken: for thou hast found grace in my sight, and I know thee by name. And he said, I beseech thee, shew me thy glory. And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the Lord before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy. And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live. And the Lord said, Behold, there is a place by me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock: And it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a clift of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by: And I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my back parts: but my face shall not be seen.

No man shall see my face and live. The voice of words spoke from the FIRE, but there was no similitude thereof: there was no likeness and there was no image; only the Voice of Words speaking from the midst of the Fire.

No man shall see His Face and Live; Now if we accept what is written in the scriptures, when we peal back the veil that conceals them we find that to look upon the face of the Glory of the Lord is DEATH, for no MAN shall see His Face and LIVE.

Exodus 20:18-21
And all the people saw the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the noise of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking: and when the people saw it, they removed, and stood afar off. And they said unto Moses, Speak thou with us, and we will hear: but let not God speak with us, lest we die. And Moses said unto the people, Fear not: for God is come to prove you, and that his fear may be before your faces, that ye sin not. And the people stood afar off, and Moses drew near unto the thick darkness where God was.

When the people saw the Glory of the Lord and heard the voice of words, they removed themselves and stood afar off. They feared to hear God speak because they DEATH. To hear God Speak from his Glory was DEATH. To look upon the face of His Glory is DEATH. Will you remove yourselves as did they? Will you continue to stand afar off with your traditions and doctrines? Or are you ready to turn aside and seek the Lord with all your heart to see this great mystery for yourself?

Exodus 19:12-13
And thou shalt set bounds unto the people round about, saying, Take heed to yourselves, that ye go not up into the mount, or touch the border of it: whosoever toucheth the mount shall be surely put to death: There shall not an hand touch it, but he shall surely be stoned, or shot through; whether it be beast or man, it shall not live: when the trumpet soundeth long, they shall come up to the mount.

Exodus 19:20-21
And the Lord came down upon mount Sinai, on the top of the mount: and the Lord called Moses up to the top of the mount; and Moses went up. And the Lord said unto Moses, Go down, charge the people, lest they break through unto the Lord to gaze, and many of them perish.

Exodus 19:24
And the Lord said unto him, Away, get thee down, and thou shalt come up, thou, and Aaron with thee: but let not the priests and the people break through to come up unto the Lord, lest he break forth upon them.

When the Glory of the Lord abode upon the mountain, any man or beast that touched it died. The people were charged not to gaze upon the Lord or He would break forth upon them and they they would perish.

There is a story in the scriptures of a priest who reached to steady the Ark of the Covenant as it was falling, and the glory of the Lord broke forth upon him and slew him.

To gaze upon the Glory of the Lord means death, for no man shall gaze upon his Glory and Live. And if there remained any question about the covenant made with Moses as the voice of words spoke out of the midst of the fire, the prophets called it a covenant with DEATH.

Isaiah 28:14-19
Wherefore hear the word of the Lord, ye scornful men,
that rule this people which is in Jerusalem.
Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with death,
and with hell are we at agreement;
when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us:
for we have made lies our refuge,
and under falsehood have we hid ourselves:
Therefore thus saith the Lord God,
Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone,
a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation:
he that believeth shall not make haste.
Judgment also will I lay to the line,
and righteousness to the plummet:
and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies,
and the waters shall overflow the hiding place.
And your covenant with death shall be disannulled,
and your agreement with hell shall not stand;
when the overflowing scourge shall pass through,
then ye shall be trodden down by it.
From the time that it goeth forth it shall take you:
for morning by morning shall it pass over, by day and by night:
and it shall be a vexation only to understand the report.

Trying to describe God's glory from Scripture to men is like trying to describe a rainbow to a blind man. When God speaks of men being blind and deaf of God, He is speaking of the heart and soul of men. Men can now see the Glory and approach God under the New Covenant. (Heb. 12:18-24) The saved man now can see God's face (John 14:7-14)....and his glory, in Jesus, (2 Cor. 4:6) God's Christ, and the natural man can see God's glory in creation (Rom. 1:19-20). And those who can not see His Glory are not looking for it.
In Christ, God's Glory.

Amen. This is a hard thing for the religious. I have seen people flock to a swimming pool that reflected an image onto a refrigerator that they claimed looked like Jesus. There was an old abandoned ice cream factory that had an old milk spill on the floor, they claimed it looked like Jesus. Hundreds of people flocked to see this miracle? I think it was here in Nashville that a bagel or some type of bake good looked like the Mother Trisha. People flocked to see it as a miracle or sign from God. The restaurant were offered sums of money for it. They framed it and hung it in the restaurant.....someone stole it. These so called miracles or signs from God take the place of the Glory of God in Jesus. People run to and fro, running over God's glory to worship finite objects, trampling over the infinite glory of God. If you do not have the Spirit of God (Holy Spirit, The Spirit of Christ). All you can do is read about it......but you will never know of it!
