On January 8, 1956 five men Nate Saint, Jim Elliot, Roger Yuderian, Pete Fleming, and Edward McCually landed on a deserted beach in South America. They came to evangelize a violent tribe of people that that they felt the Lord had led them to bring to the Lord. Instead of evangelizing the tribe they were brutally murdered that day.

The story doesn't end there. Rachel Saint and Betty Elliot went back and evangelized the very tribe that had killed their brother and husband. Elizabeth Saint and her children, including Steve, went to the tribe. Many of the tribe gave their lives to the Lord from that tribe. Steve has been the best friend of the man who killed his father for over 60 years. He was taught by the very man who killed his father.

This is the true Heart of God. To bring love where their shouldn't be any, to bring for forgiveness in unforgivable situations, and to bring peace when there should be war. Perhaps we should focus less on politics and more on seeking the heart of God. Here is the amazing story of Steve Saint.

I like to believe that Jesus is the heart of God.
And as we have Jesus in us, we also have the heart of God.
The more we die to self, the more the heart of God (Jesus) shines through us.
