First we see the verse that unravels the bible -

Revelation 13:18 "Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six."

Who had wisdom and understanding?

1 Kings 3:12 "Behold, I have done according to thy words: lo, I have given thee a wise and an understanding heart; so that there was none like thee before thee, neither after thee shall any arise like unto thee."

2 Chronicles 1:11-12 "
And God said to Solomon, Because this was in thine heart, and thou hast not asked riches, wealth, or honour, nor the life of thine enemies, neither yet hast asked long life; but hast asked wisdom and knowledge for thyself, that thou mayest judge my people, over whom I have made thee king:12 Wisdom and knowledge is granted unto thee; and I will give thee riches, and wealth, and honour, such as none of the kings have had that have been before thee, neither shall there any after thee have the like."

Who had the number 666?

1 Kings 10:14 "Now the weight of gold that came to Solomon in one year was six hundred threescore and six talents of gold,"

God gives it to us again just in case we missed it and was asleep.

1 Chronicles 9:13 "Now the weight of gold that came to Solomon in one year was six hundred and threescore and six talents of gold;"

Thus the beast was a MAN (KJV), and that man was king Solomon.

1 Kings 3:12 "Behold, I have done according to thy words: lo, I have given thee a wise and an understanding heart; so that there was none like thee before thee, neither after thee shall any arise like unto thee.

According to that King Solomon will return. As the great king, the antichrist, the man of sin.

No. You simply cannot make such random associations between such different parts of Scripure.

Revelation 13:18 "Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six."

We were told to "count the number of the beast". This was written in Greek, and the Greek word means more then counting numbers. You simple can't understand this meaning if you don't understand this Greek word. The word is #5585 in Strong's Greek dictionary, and it means to "calculate by counting the stones that are warn smooth over a long period of time."

What stones? We were told in chapter two, we would receive a new stone with a new name written on it. This word "count" originated from that word "stone" of chapter two of the book of Genesis. These are the only places in the Bible this word for count, or stone is used. So we must enumerate, or calculate these stones worn smooth over a long period of time. "Their rock is not our Rock, and his stones are not our Stones," is what the overcomers will sing, as the "Song of Moses tells us in Deuteronomy 32. God is our Rock, and Satan is the false rock, but which stones are we to count?

The stones are the number of man, that man is Satan...........

This simply is not how proper exegesis is done. Just as with the OP, one cannot simply bounce around Scripture making connections that aren't there. Just because an English word is used in different places does not meant that it has the same meaning everywhere it is used, whether in English, Greek, or Hebrew.

Looking at Strong's #G5585, psephizo:

Strong's definition: From G5586; to use pebbles in enumeration, that is, (genitive case) to compute: - count.

Thayer's definition: 1) to count with pebbles, to compute, calculate, reckon
2) to give one’s vote by casting a pebble into the urn
3) to decide by voting
http://www.biblestudytools.com/lexicons/greek/kjv/psephizo.html

New American Standard Exhaustive Concordance: psēphizō; from G5586; to count, calculate: - calculate (2).

And notice that it is also used in Luke 14:28, For which of you, desiring to build a tower, does not first sit down and count the cost, whether he has enough to complete it? (ESV)

The word simply means to count or calculate and there is no reason to appeal to Genesis, an argument for which you have provided no support. Not that it matters since there is none that can be given. The word is only used twice, in that you are correct, but it is found in Luke 14 and Rev 13. There is also no appeal that can be made to Deut 32.

Revelation 13:11-18
V11 And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.

Horns as it is used here stand for power. In this verse you read that the beast has two horns like a lamb. Not as a lamb but like a lamb. That is very important to understand. Who is our lamb? Our lamb is Jesus Christ of course. He is the Lamb of God and we can read that in the book of John.

John 1:29
V29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

John 1:36
V36 And looking upon Jesus as He walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God!

So what we have here right from the start is a fake lamb. Some one that thinks he is the Lamb of God but is not. Now this beast spake as a dragon. Who is the dragon in God's word? The dragon is Satan. That is just one of the names Satan goes by in the word of God.

Revelation 12:9
V9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

Revelation 20:2
V2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years.

V18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

No big mystery here, verse 11 already told us who the beast is, Satan. It is not someone on this earth now so don't bother trying to use someone's name that is here now. The beast is Satan. The antichrist is Satan. Satan has been going against God's will from the beginning chapters of Genesis. He is the one that thinks he is God and in the last days he will get some time here on earth to pretend that he is. Count here means a pebble (as worn smooth by handling), i.e. (by implication of use as a counter or ballot) a verdict (of acquittal) or ticket (of admission); a vote. The key word here is pebble. What is a pebble but a very small rock. Who is our Rock? Jesus Christ of course. He is the true Rock. What we have here is the fake rock, the antichrist of the last days. We can read that Jesus is our Rock in I Corinthians 10:4

I Corinthians 10:4
V4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.

It takes many years for a pebble to become smooth. The pebble is also symbolic for people, a certain kind of people, the Kenites. The mark of the beast started in the early chapters of Genesis. It is a spiritual mark that was put on Cain, and his offspring the Kenites.

This is so simple if you have eyes to see and ears to hear.

You must first understand the verb "count" and then the understanding will appear wherein the wisdom lies.

What does "count" mean?

Here's Dr. Strong's Concordance:
psephizo, psay-fid'-zo, Greek 5585; from Greek 5586 (psephos); to use pebbles in enumeration, i.e. (genitive) to compute :- countIt comes from the root word: psephos, psay'-fos, Greek 5586; from the same as Greek 5584 (pselaphao); a pebble (as worn smooth by handling), i.e. (by implication of use as a counter or ballot) a verdict (of acquittal) or ticket (of admission); a vote :- stone, voice. It simply means to "enumerate using pebbles that have been worn smooth over a long period of time".
This number of the beast, Satan's number, has been present for a long time,
even from the beginning when the first mark was placed on the first one with rocks in his head, Cain.

And you can trace his descendents, who are the tares of Mat. 13,
the vipers Christ addressed in John 8, i.e. the kenites,
throughout the Bible and throughout history from the garden of Eden to present day.
How wise are you?

As Dr. Bullinger points out in appendix 10 of the Companion Bible regarding the number 6 .
"The great men who have stood out in defiance of God
(Goliath and Nebuchadnezzar and this fire breathing dragon,Satan) are all emphatically marked by this number."
(I wonder if he means they had "666" stamped on their foreheads?") Have you read?
And it all fits with the Biblical numerics of 666. 600 = Warfare, 60 = Idol worship, and 6 = man, evils of Satan. Reference "Biblical Mathematics", Ed. F. Vallowe.

And have you looked up 666 in Strong's?
chi xi stigma, khee xee stig'-ma, Greek 5516; the twenty-second, fourteenth and an obsolete letter (Greek 4742 (stigma) as a cross) of the Greek alphabet (intermediate between the fifth and sixth), used as numbers; denoting respectively six hundred, sixty and six; six hundred sixty-six as a numeral :- six hundred threescore and six. What is a stigma?
It is as Strong's defines it "(figurative) scar of service"
which is precisely as Webster has it "a mark of shame or discredit".
So, do you carry his "stigma"?
Are you stigmatized with the traditions of men?
Do have the mark of the beast "in" your forehead where the brain resides?
Are you deceived?

Hello, hello!
One last comment.
Are you familiar with the Song of Moses which we've already mentioned several times
is sung by the overcomers in Rev. 15, which we will soon study.
If you read Ezek. 28 you'll discover that Satan is called the king of Tyrus,
which in Hebrew means "rock".
How many different ways must we be told,
how many vivid PICTURES must we be shown until we understand that there are two lambs,
two Jesus Christs, yes there are two rocks.

Deut. 32:31 For their rock is not as our Rock, even our enemies themselves being judges. So the question is:
If you are not familiar with the Song of Moses, then how are you going to know it to sing it?
Huh?
You won't, because you wouldn't know one pebble from another.
So you'll be counted out!
Christ will say as it is written "Get away from me, I never knew you."

Bottom line,satan is the anti-christ

There is still no connection. :shrug If you want to know what the song of Moses is, it's found in Ex 15.

It's a bit long, but probably the most inspiring piece I've read on the "here is wisdom" topic.

When Jesus Christ made his prophecy about the "abomination of desolation" preceding the Great Tribulation at the end of the world, he included a little note: "Whoever reads this, let him understand it." The phrase "abomination of desolation" took us back to Daniel's prophecy about a counterfeit "prince" who would make an agreement to rebuild the Temple in Jerusalem.

It said that he would eventually profane the Temple and cause the sacrifices to cease. This is the only time the instruction, "Whoever reads this, let him understand," appears in the gospels.

However, the prophecy in The Revelation about the Mark of the Beast includes a similar instruction. It concludes: "Here is wisdom. Let him that has understanding count the number of the Beast; for it is the number of a man. His number is six hundred and sixty-six." (Revelation 13:18)

The "number" here is generally believed to be referring to the use of letters as numbers in some alphabets. Most of us know that I, V, X, L, C, D, and M all had numerical values in the Roman numeral system. Similar systems operated with the Hebrew and Greek alphabets, so that each person's name had a numerical value if you added up all such numbers in their name.

The name of the Beast (if his name equals 666 in the Roman numeral system) would probably have the letters D, C, L, X, V, and I in it (each occurring only once, to give you 500+100+50+10 +5+1)(Note:) , and it could not have the letter M (1000). It could, of course, have any number of non-numerical letters as well. Some possible names might be: Vox Euclid, Victor Delux, or Exact Devil. There don't appear to be any well known candidates for world ruler with such names at the moment. It is my guess that the Beast will have a name which adds up to 666 in Greek and/or Hebrew as well as Latin.

But "wisdom" shouldn't depend on knowing the identity of the Antichrist. There must be a deeper truth hidden in the number. So I checked to see if the number 666 appeared anywhere else in the Bible. Sure enough, I found another reference. It is the number of talents of gold that came to King Solomon in one year.
(I Kings 10:14)

It seemed ironic that a clue which started out by saying, "Here is wisdom" should lead me to the very man whose name has been equated with wisdom for thousands of years. King Solomon was said to have been given one wish by God, and he wished for wisdom. He later became known as the wisest man on earth.

Solomon wrote two books of the Bible. In addition to that, forty chapters of the Old Testament cover events in his life; but there are only two references to him in the Gospels. In one, Christ points to an event in the same chapter (I Kings 10) that has the number 666 in it, where the Queen of Sheba traveled hundreds of miles and brought nearly two tons of gold with her as a gift for King Solomon. (I Kings 10:1-2)

Jesus said: "The queen of the south will rise up in the judgment with the people of this generation and condemn them; for she came from the utmost part of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon. And behold, one greater than Solomon is here." (Luke 11:31)

In another place, Jesus said, "Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They do not work, neither do they spin [cloth], and yet I say to you that even Solomon, in all his glory, was not arrayed like one of these Therefore, take no thought saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'With what shall we be clothed?' (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek.) For your heavenly Father knows that you have need of all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you." (Matthew 6:28-33)

In both instances, Christ was saying that what he had to offer was greater than what Solomon had. So, in my own search for wisdom, I deduced that true wisdom would not come from following Solomon, but it would come from following Christ. Solomon was rich; Christ was poor. Solomon was a king; Christ was a commoner. Solomon had hundreds of wives; Christ was a bachelor. Solomon built the famous Temple in Jerusalem; Christ was executed on the grounds that he was threatening to destroy the Temple in Jerusalem.

Isn't it strange how, in studying the final three and a half years, we keep coming back to the Temple? Solomon (through I Kings 10:14) is linked with the number 666, and he is the one credited with having built the original Temple. The Beast (or Antichrist) is also linked with the number 666, and with making an agreement to rebuild the Temple.

Solomon was a king, and the Antichrist is a king. But the underlying message of The Revelation is that Christ is the true King of kings, and all others are but counterfeits by comparison.

And that must include Solomon as well.

Solomon was a good man; but he can't hold a candle to Christ. Nor can anyone who was ever born. As Christ said in prophecies about the last days, people will find many replacements for the true Messiah. (Matthew 24:24)

But when they do, their replacement (whoever it may be) becomes an antichrist. (I John 2:18; II John 6-7). The so-called Christian church would rather follow St. Paul, or the Pope, or Billy Graham, or, for that matter, Solomon, than to follow Christ.

In fact, Solomon is used as one of the prime justifications for the "prosperity gospel", a heresy based on greed, which is spreading like wildfire through the entire church scene today. Even those who say they don't subscribe to it, still choose to tolerate books teaching the prosperity gospel in their religious bookshops.

It doesn't take a genius to see that the church, with its emphasis on prosperity, popularity, and political power, is closer to the lifestyle of Solomon than it is to the teachings of Christ. Counterfeit messiahs of all sorts have moved into the "holy place" and made it spiritually desolate.

... cont...

...

But there is another aspect of the number 666. In The Revelation it is linked with the "Mark" of the Beast, and in the passage from I Kings, it is linked with gold. Both the Mark (i.e. a computerised implant) and gold, represent significant developments in the history of economics.

Mankind has not advanced from the clumsy system of bartering to the concept of a cashless society in a single step. The Babylonian Empire (of which we will have more to say later) invented money, in the form of gold coins. This was as significant a step in its day as the introduction of the Mark will be for us in our day.

The prophetic image in the book of Daniel that represented all of the empires succeeding the Babylonian Empire was explained by Daniel. He said that the head of gold represented Babylon itself. The rest of the statue represented succeeding world empires. As Daniel moved down the statue, each metal became more and more worthless, until it finally ended in feet made of clay mixed with iron. We have already discussed how the ten toes made from iron mixed with clay represent the coming world order, which will be an alliance of nations controlled by the Beast.

Between gold coins and the Mark, money has progressed: first to coins made of lesser metals, then the U.S. invented paper currency, followed by cheques, and now just electronic impulses producing figures on a balance sheet. The money itself has become more and more worthless; but the system has become more and more efficient, enabling the very rich to make huge transactions in a matter of seconds. (the main ingredient in clay (symbol of the last empire) is silicon; and the breakthrough in computer technology that made the Mark possible has been the development of the silicon chip)!

At the end of the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus Christ told a story about a wise man and a foolish man. He said that the wise man was someone who had listened to the Sermon and then obeyed it. He said that the wise man would be building on a rock that would survive all storms. The foolish man was someone who had also listened to the Sermon, but then had not obeyed it. All of his efforts to build a house would only end in ruin.

A statue with feet of clay is like a foolish man building on sand. He gets more and more wealth, but does not think about where it is all leading. In the end, he dies with nothing to show for his life in eternity. The stone that comes out of nowhere is the kingdom of heaven, the teachings of Christ, the rock that grows and grows until it fills the whole earth. Those who build on the teachings of Christ will be eternally rewarded. We will have treasures in heaven. The storms of life (and death itself) will not be able to shake us.

As Jesus, or the angel in The Revelation, would put it, let the person with understanding think about that for a bit.

One of the problems with the Mark, is that everyone wants to know how close they can get to it without actually being covered by the curse that has been pronounced against those who take it. Most people hope that the Mark will not come in their lifetime. In one way or another, they put off dealing seriously with it, and they continue to do this even as it is starting to become reality.

It's difficult to imagine many of these people actually making a sudden and dramatic change in their lifestyle when the Mark comes in, especially if the change could cost them their lives.

The Bible teaches that there are many antichrists. (I John 4:3) Jesus identified the enemy, not as the Devil, but as money or mammon. He said our choice is between serving (i.e. working for) God, and serving (i.e. working for) money. (Matthew 6:24) He said we would end up despising one or the other; God or money. Which one do you despise? He said your actions will show which one takes first claim on your life and which one gets the leftovers. Do you fit in time to work for money after you have finished serving God, or do you fit in service to God after you've finished working for money?

St. Paul said that love for money is the root of all evil. (I Timothy 6:10) There is no mention of the Mark of the Beast here, nor in any of the above references. You don't need implants and computer scans to be disobedient to Christ.

Religious double-talk won't undo the evil that has come from ignoring the teachings of Christ. St. Peter said Jesus is the Stone that the builders rejected. (I Peter 2:7) And Jesus said if we don't fall on this Rock and let him change us, then the Rock is one day going to fall on us (as the Stone out of nowhere did in Daniel's vision of the statue) and it will grind us to powder. (Luke 20:17-18)

For those of us who have tried to take the teachings of Christ seriously, learning to live by faith when the Mark comes in, will not be so traumatic. For we are developing a relationship with Christ right now where we can hear him speaking, and where we experience God's provision whenever we go where he tells us to go.

Jesus said to his followers, when they asked where the Christians would go when the Great Tribulation starts, "The birds will go where the food is." (Luke 17:36-37)

Here is wisdom: Consider the birds. They sow not, neither do they reap, but they do know how to follow God's voice, if he tells them to leave one place and go to another. By the time famine hits, the birds have all left. And a wise person, with true understanding, will learn to listen to God right now (before disaster strikes) and to obey him, even if it means giving up everything that we now cling to before the Mark goes into effect.

The problem with this theory is (though grace-haters think otherwise) that Solomon was a saved man. He is in heaven with the saints saved by grace. He fell yes. We all fall. But Solomon has nothing to do with antichrist. He was loved by God (Neh 13:26). Nothing can seperate us from the love of God (Romans 8:38-39). Scripture says that God is the author of our salvation. If he lost salvation, that means God stopped writing. God is no indian-giver (Romans 11:29). We see that he had repented, and turned to God. We can get the big picture by reading ecclesiastes, where he in essense says "Money, palaces, fine foods, large gardens, hundreds of sexy wives - they're vanities. They've become repulsive. God is what I really need".

nimrod, the man that was a might hunter Before the lord and built babel?

Legend has it that he was wounded in the eye like the Antichrist.

Aside from legend, I wouldn't say it's he himself. But I think he is a type of one. Like Christ had types.

Nimrod built Babylonian. The Antichrist system is Babylonian. Just look at disney!
Nimrod turned people away from the Lord. The Antichrist will be loved by many and will be worshipped.
Nimrod is connected to the pagan gods of antiquity. Antichrist will be worshipped.

Nimrod became a giborrrim (which some believe means he became a giant).

There are a lot of strange things floating around Nimrod. There's better explainations out there than I can articulate.

I would recommend looking at the works of Rob Skiba, Gonzo Shimura, Thomas Horn, and there are others I can't think of at the moment.

Where does Daniel 9 say anything about the 'the people, of the prince who is to come,' making an agreement to rebuild a temple? Scripture please from Daniel to support this statement.

Disney and the world is and has been like Babylon. there hasn't been a culture that didn't do what babylond did in some shape or form. to wit:
fertility cult worship
sodomy
witchcraft.
materialism. sure some have been the same or worse but in all its really nothing new.

Hi Deborah. Thanks for showing an interest in the post! Here's the verses from Daniel.

DAN 9:26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.

DAN 9:27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

Verse 26 talks about the "people of the prince that shall come". Verse 27 talks about a "he" confirming an agreement with "many" for one "week" and in the middle of that week he causes the sacrifices to cease. From a biblical point of view, the sacrifices can only happen in that one temple. The sacrifices cannot cease if they don't begin and they cannot begin if there is no temple.

I also believe that this prophecy has a duel meaning referring to both Jesus and the AC since both are princes in their own way. Jesus is the prince of princes, but Satan is also referred to as the prince of this world 3 separate times (jn 12:32, 14:30, 16:11). Verse 25 specifically mentions the messiah, but verse 27 talks about this prince spreading abominations. There are two princes here each with a different role, though their behavior overlaps in similar ways.

For example, while Satan makes an agreement with many (i.e. the Jews) to rebuild the physical temple in Jerusalem, the other prince (Jesus) makes an agreement with many (144k of his faithful followers) to organize them into his spiritual temple, for one "week". Another bit of supporting evidence for this concept of a physical temple vs a spiritual temple is Rev. 11:8, where the angel refers to Jerusalem as Sodom and Egypt, (i.e. spiritually desolate). Paul talks about how God does not live in temples made with hands (Acts 7:48,17:24), but rather how we (the people) are God's temple now. Jesus talked about how the kingdom of Heaven is inside the people and does not come with observation (like buildings, Lk 17:20-21).

In the middle of the week, the AC profanes the physical temple in some shocking way, but the real abomination is what he does to the spiritual temple, by making war with the saints for 3.5 years, or as the Revelation puts it (they shall trod the holy city underfoot for 42 months). 42 months = 3.5 years.

So, one fairly reliable way for determining the identity of the AC will be to carefully examine whomever it is who finally brokers and agreement to rebuilt the temple in Jerusalem.

What makes you think that is greek?

Your basing alot of Nimrod info on what? The bible says extremely little about Nimrod.
