Thank you for those wonderful examples of widespread religious bigotry and hatred for your fellow members of the Body of Christ that is included in the doctrines of so many of churches and has replaced Jesus' command to love on another. I'm sure you have pleased all of God's enemies by that very well documented declaration of your belief that hatred of fellow believers in Jesus Christ (and, thereby, of Jesus himself as we are His body) is a basic Christian teaching.

Nice going.

Cotton Mather said it like this..

Cotton Mather
(1663-1728) (Congregational Theologian)

"The oracles of God foretold the rising of an Antichrist in the Christian Church; and in the Pope of Rome, all the characteristics of that Antichrist are so marvelously answered that if any who read the Scriptures do not see it, there is a marvelous blindness upon them." Taken from "The Fall of Babylon" by Cotton Mather in Froom's book "The Prophetic Faith of Our Fathers," Vol. 3, pg. 113.

This is what Jesus said about it..

John 5:43 I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.

Again, Mark is written long after the fall. There is nothing in scripture that suggests that Adam and Eve had "satan in their hearts" before the fall. That is your imagination.
The Word of God is not locked into time. It was DISCLOSED later, but the reality of this matter was from the start of mankind.

Grace and Truth are from Jesus. That assuredly does not mean Grace and Truth didn't exist prior.

In any case the sin of Adam and Eve can not be delinked from the devil, the tempter. Attempts to do so are void of harmony to the scriptures.

There is exactly ZERO reasons not to see Mark 4:15 as applicable to Adam and Eve.

Jesus said those Words did apply to them. See Matt. 4:4 or Luke 4:4 to see that "every Word" of God applies to MAN.

Cotton Mather said it like this..
I really don't give a rap about how anyone expresses their bigotry and hatred against Christ's body. I do care that they become aware that their actions are in direct rebellion against Jesus' command that we love one another and that they repent of that rebellion. I care that, by their stature as "great men of the Bible" their spew of vitriol against their brothers in Christ induces other's to join and take delight in the rebellion against Christ's command and, thereby, lead multitudes to destruction.
If you so desperately need someone to look down upon, get a mirror.

You must have never see this then..

Revelation 2:6 But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.

What Cotton Mather said is something to read and study and debate.
It should not be used in any other way as to what I believe
unless we are the ones debating it.
This thread is not about Cotton Mather.
This thread is about the anti-christ.
And if Cotton Mather and other past theologians agree on who they think the anti- christ is and if you disagree with that, then I think you need to read up on all these men and come to a better understanding why they are saying these things.

Have you read your catechism lately?

I'm not interested in your excuses for your acts of hatred and bigotry against members of Christ's body.
Your callous disregard for Jesus' command to love one another is a matter of concern.
Someone once said, "Let him who is without sin cast the first stone."

Then there was antipas..

(shorter form of Antipater [Jos. Ant. xiv. i. 3: ‘this Antipatros was at first called Antipas’] as Hermas is of Hermodorus, Lucas of Lucanus, and Silvas of Silvanus)

Antipas, otherwise unknown, is mentioned in Revelation 2:13. Later Greek tradition made him bishop of Pergamum, martyred under Domitian by being thrown into a brazen bull which stood at the temple of Diana, and so roasted alive.*

The name has been allegorized as anti-pas (=‘against all’) or anti-papa. The character of the Apocalypse, again, admits the hypothesis that the name refers to the God Pan. Pan was worshipped at Ephesus and in many cities in Asia Minor-no record of his worship at Pergamum is extant-under the strong influences of Arcadian and Peloponnesian cults. It is not impossible, therefore, that the Christian Church at Pergamum is praised for its opposition to the heathen Pan. Cf. Balaam, Nicolaitans.

I accept your backhand for what it is.

Jesus Words regarding this matter are valid, whether disclosed later or not.

The reality of Mark 4:15 started on Day 1 of man, and continues to this day.
You are repeating yourself.
I got it the first time.
I believe it is nonsense.
I hope that clarifies my view for you.

Here's a line from the statement of faith of studylight.org: "We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in Christ, and the evidence of that unity being shown by how we love one another and conduct our ministry."
Does "how we love one another and conduct our ministry" describe you?

Fortunately this site bars having any open discussions about how our so called ancient orthodox church members really see other believers who are not in "their group." Needless to say it's far from "loving." About the opposite end.

It can be discussed one on one.

The scriptures very specifically identify the antichrist. So, assuming you might be a "sola scriptura" guy who doesn't adhere to the traditions of men, here's what the NKJV says:
1Jo 2:22 Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son.
1Jo 4:3 and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.
2Jo 1:7 For many deceivers have gone out into the world who do not confess Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

The guy in the white prom dress does not deny that Jesus is the Christ, or the Father and the Son, or that Christ has come in the flesh. In fact, he affirms that Jesus is the Christ, and the Father and the Son, and that Christi has come in the flesh. So he doesn't qualify as the antichrist.
