What is the need for the ignore list? This seems unchristian to me. He did that to me! She told me that! I don't like his posts...for this reason s/he is in my ignore list. I don't want to interrat with him/her! :bicker

All these :biggrinunno :shrug :confused :sad

This is helpful on most forums when there are members that post replies you don't necessarily like. If there are troll like members I could place them on ignore and not have to deal with drama. Also makes it where you don't see visitor messages and possibly PM's.

ToS ...:tongue Any personal problems with another member, then deal with it through private messages. No harassing members via PM. No public posting of PMs. Publicly announcing who is on a member's Ignore list is prohibited. :nod

    You don't want:

    Scam
    begging
    pestering etc...

The ignore list (IL) stuff should help. But if you quarreled with someone, someone said something that got you upset, a MOD deleted your thread or chained your thread, a member got a MOD upset etc and you use the IL against the person...I think this is a malicious act. It is an act of unforgiveness.

I didn't even know there was an ignore thing on here. I should add myself to my ignore list. That way if I annoy myself I wont notice it!

I do, and since I annoy myself daily it's a feature I could really utilise regularly.

I never felt the ignore feature is appropriate for a Christian site and proposed a couple of times to not activate it.

    The majority voted otherwise. :shrug

Exactly what I think. I'm not comfortable with it at all.

How can one deliver an important message to a member then?

B has K in his/her ignore list. B's house is on fire and K wants to contact B....

Most likely it will not be used. If you have a problem, simply don't use it.

Just ignore the ignore list if you don't like it .... but if you're on a ignore list and didn't know it, then you just ignore that you're being ignored since you're ignoring the ignore list and the ignoring party doesn't know you're ignoring the ignore list so he cannot put you on the ignore list which you've already ignored !
