To explain the New Testament understanding of the true Israel of God, I would like to offer this simple diagram.

Just curious, do you believe that salvation of "National Jewish Israel" as a whole will not be for the purpose of restoring Israel to her Old Testament theocratic glory, but rather believing Jews will be saved into and as a vital part of the body of Christ, the Church, the true Israel of God?

Who is true Israel?

God bless,
William

I would ask what you interpret “Mat 24:34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. “ as pertaining to 1948 and those partaking in that assemblage?

Secondly , what of the word “genea” translated in the following manners below?
generation (37x), time (2x), age (2x), nation (1x).

Thirdly , how does Rom 9:6 pertain to the all Israel? Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel:

Who of Israel is excluded. and for what purpose? Do you interpret Matthew Chapter twenty-four as being a time when the kingdom is here on earth, with Israel being the head of the nations?

Thanks. :wave2

Before lost, I need the same information.

Exo 4:22 And thou shalt say unto Pharaoh, Thus saith the LORD, Israel is my son, even my firstborn:

1Co 12:27 Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.

Exo 19:6 And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.

1Pe 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

We from Adam to you/me are the Israel of God..

Good diagram. If I was an artist I would draw it out like a tree. I think that would look good. But this does help to see the relationship(and difference) between ethnic Jews and Gentiles.

Yes, that is how I understand it. The middle line shows Jew and Gentile who believe have become the Israel of God.

There are two Israels. The antichrist Israel synagogue of satan that denies Jesus come in the flesh 1 John 2:22 , 2 John 1:7, and the Israel of God. Dont get confused.

Israel lost her right to be called Gods chosen people, (God did save a faithful remnant), as they fell into idolatry worshipping other gods as they allowed themselves to fall from Gods grace as they followed the lust of their own hearts as they practiced Judaism, 1Kings 9:1-9. God’s judgment against them led them to be captured, 605 – 537 B.C., by Nebuchadnezzar and taken into Babylon for seventy years while Nebuchadnezzar’s army killed many Jews in Judah and Jerusalem destroying the whole city of Jerusalem including the first Temple that was built through King Solomon’s reign in Jerusalem.

The second Temple was built under Ezra’s leadership and Israel continued practicing Judaism and their Temple was desecrated as part of an effort to impose Greek-oriented culture and customs on the entire population. Roman rule refurbished the temple as Herod, Romans vassal king, rules the land of Israel. In 70 A.D. the Temple is once again destroyed. The Temple Mount was taken over in 691 A.D. as the Arab nation built the Dome of the Rock and there has not been any other Temple built since that time on the original Temple Mount.

God gave Israel 490 years to repent. They were set free from Babylon when the Medes and Persian conquered Babylon (Chaldeans) around 538 B.C. They were allowed back in the land and to rebuild the city of Jerusalem, however, they still did not repent for their sin of idol worshipping and they continued to receive punishment from God as the kingdom was taken away and eventually taken over by the Roman Empire. Malachi Chapter 1-4.

The 490 years were up and many of the Jews not only did not repent but they killed the very Messiah they had been waiting for as well as in 24 A.D. they made an opened display of rejecting the Gospel message as they stoned Stephen being the final messenger that was sent to give them their last chance to repent. The Jews were now rejected as God’s chosen people and were no different from the Gentiles as from that time forth each individual, Jew and Gentile has to make their own decision to accept or reject Jesus as Lord and Savior, John 3:3-7; Romans 10:9, 10. The disciples were called first to preach to the Jews, Matthew 10:6, and Paul was called to preach to the Gentiles, Acts 22:21. God has saved a remnant out of the twelve tribes of Israel even up to a thousand generations that have always been faithful to Him, Exodus 20:1-6; Psalms 105:7, 8, but those who have yet to accept Jesus as Messiah God will continue to cut them off.

"Seeing in the distance a fig tree in leaf, he went to find out if it had any fruit. When he reached it, he found nothing but leaves, because it was not the season for figs. Then he said to the tree, “May no one ever eat fruit from you again.”

'Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.'

Matt 24:24 NIVAnd this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

The children are defined in Rev as those who hold to the testimony of Jesus and obey Gods commandments. While I do believe Rev 11 will convince many who currently practice Judaism to enter the kingdom that doesn't mean they are Israel. Jesus denied some who claimed to be jews but were not in HIS message to the 7 churches of The Lord.
REV 2:9

Paul asked and answered these questions in regard to being a jew. perhaps if there are people here who claim to be a jew they could do the same. Practicing Judaism does make one a jew and Gods new covenant is written on the hearts of the people. (The circumcision of the heart by the spirit of christ) OUTWard circumcision counts for nothing.
1 cor 11:22 NIV
Are they Hebrews? So am I. Are they Israelites? So am I. Are they Abraham's descendants? So am I.
