Nothing new under the sun. New light on the scriptures, have you ever read a verse or passage and had new light shed on it.
Your understanding changes, growth in grace and knowledge (revelation).
Ultimately we are talking about "the revelation of Jesus Christ," Gal. 1:11-12,
11 But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.
12 For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.

Christ revealed in the believer as their only life, Gal. 1:15-16,
15 But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by his grace,
16 To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood:

Gal. 2:20,
20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
Amen, That I understand and testify to.

Perhaps you addressed it..but how does that tie in with

1 Tim 2:14 And it was not Adam who was deceived, but the woman being deceived, fell into transgression.
There is no doubt that Adam allowed sin to enter into the world.

1 Timothy 2:14 says that it was Eve who was deceived by the serpent...
However...

Genesis 3:7
Eve gave the fruit also to her husband, and he ate...
THEN the eyes of both of them were opened...

Eve was deceived, but Adam broke the Covenant with God.

In Genesis 3:9 God calls to the man.
Why?
Because God made the Edenic Covenant with the man, NOT with the woman.
The man was resposible for keeping his word with God, as is confirmed in
Romans 5:12-14

Hosea 6:7 also confirms it was Adam's sin that caused the fall.
1 Corinthians 15:45 also speaks to this.

Since scripture says that Adam shouldn't have listened to the woman, I believe that Adam acquiesced to Eve. It shows a lack of confidence in one's self when challenged.

And there is no sign sin entered into the world before
Adam partook of the fruit. Only then did Eve know she was naked!

Perhaps you addressed it..but how does that tie in with

1 Tim 2:14 And it was not Adam who was deceived, but the woman being deceived, fell into transgression.
It was through the man however that sin passed into the world.
The fallen nature of the first Adam is what made humans fully mortal and subject to transgression. The second Adam, Jesus Christ, is the purification of that human nature wherein the redeemed in him, Christ, are re-born from the sinful, sin-prone, flesh , and into their divine nature while in flesh.

Let's see, sin came into the World when Adam sinned. Adam, not Eve! Why and how could this be?
Because Adam is the husband of Eve.
Eph 5:23a "For the husband is head of the wife"
So, from a Jewish point of view (and Christianity isJewish) Adam would be responsible to keep his wife from sin.
Or so it seems to me.
Have you ever lined 10 or 15 people up, shoulder to shoulder and whispered a few....
I don't understand how that relates to the topic at hand. ( :dunce <-- me)

It is relative to the working of the human, created, mind and Eve did not hear the command from God.

I know that I said I would not post again in this thread, but when this is the response that I get to the statement that I made, and then to see those who stand up in the amen corner applauding, it only begs me to respond, and so I will.

I understand the idol can not speak for itself, and so the traditions and doctrines of men are defended in its place. Your responses and those who applauded them begs me to wonder if they really know the Lord at all.

The image and likeness of God has no "lusts and passions."

The Image and likeness of God has no lusts and passions?

God is a JEALOUS God.
God is VENGEFUL. Vengeance is mine saith the Lord.
God LOVES and He HATES, for Jacob have I loved and Esau have I hated.
God is a God of WRATH, He is also a God MERCY.
The Lord said if that evil nation would turn from their way, then HE would REPENT of the EVIL that HE THOUGHT to do unto them.

Lusts and passions are the result of sin.

Lust and passion is not a sin, nor is it evil. The law defines for you which lust or passions are a sin. The law tells you eating pork is a sin; but then again the law declared when Christ had come that we could eat whatever our souls lusted after. But zealotry over the law has a tendency to blind people to simple common sense things.

If lust and passions are a sin, and you lust after the things of the Spirit and you are passionate for the things of Christ, does that make you evil?

There was no Law at the time of Adam and eve.

There was no Law at the time of Adam? So when the Lord says to Adam I give to you ONE COMMANDMENT, there was NO LAW?
By that same reasoning then, the TEN COMMANDMENTS must be considered as NO LAW.

The knowledge of good and evil is not the equivalent of the Law.

One day grasshopper wake up and discover idol no speak for self. He find tradition and doctrine of men to tiresome to defend. When he come into his rest he find the simplicity of such things. But if not, then grasshopper shall burn with the field, for all flesh is grass..

So,does this mean we should never trust your word. :hysterical:hysterical:hysterical:hysterical:hysterical

NO WHERE will you ever find me asking anyone to trust in my word. But as you are part of the amen choir, what is the laughter all about? I'm sorry, but I don't find it a laughing matter for those who claim to know God, but really know nothing at all. What does the idol have to say?

Now, you have and you are showing the fruits of your father.
