Today I encountered bacon flavored maple syrup. Sounds like it could be ok, if you're eating bacon with your pancakes or something like that.

They also make bacon flavored toothpaste. I think that's a bit much, and defeats the purpose :hips

I don't think we have to worry about a spam-flavored everything craze taking over, lol

Some bacon things have hone a bit far like pumpkin spice around Thanksgiving.

Although, I had a maple bacon flavored cupcake once (complete with bacon bits on top) and it made me want like a baker's dozen more!

That's a very good verse, but what exactly does it mean considering the fact that unless they are growing out of the ground, off a tree, or a bush, or falling off of it, fruits and vegetables typically don't move. Maybe that's what it was talking about anyway though.

Genesis 1:29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.

Genesis 9:3 Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things. 4 But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat. (we are not to eat meat raw as that is eating the blood of animal)

1 Timothy 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; 2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; 3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. 4 For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving: 5 For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

God has given us what is good for us to eat as He has made it good for us. We are to receive it with thanksgiving.

Chickens as a pig is a very clean animal. Can you tell I'm a country girl, LOL

My, how things have certainly changed. I think that the whole entire reason that it was forbidden to eat pigs in the OT is because of the fact that they were considered very unclean.

You're reading that wrong.

God forbidding the Hebrews to eat pigs has nothing at all to do with pig hygiene. The fact that pigs were forbidden to eat by God is what the word "unclean" means in this case. Anything God forbade was considered unclean.

Why exactly God chose this has been debated a lot. We can look at all the dietary restrictions and see that it was wise, from a health standpoint. (If pork isn't cooked thoroughly there's a chance of nasty disease, and they didn't have means of insuring thorough cooking)
We can also see that these restrictions separated Israel from the surrounding people.

Well, at least we don't have to worry about that now, because after Jesus died on the cross for us we started following the rules of the new covenant.

I don't call autumn the queen of spam for no reason, even her daughter is in love with spam, I tell Julie that if she went to korea of china , she would eat spam and rice. I mentioned that joke today as I worked where a bunch of Chinese are learning to fly.
