That technology could be used in that way someday. But I doubt it woukd happen. Right now those are used on animals like for a dog or cat if they get lost. Potentially it might be used for harsh criminals , or if movies ideas are being used, in super secret government agents. But the mark of the beast sounded like it had to do with being able to buy and sell. At least that was part of the context of those verses. Until we have credit cards in our hands, I think we're safe with the RFID chips.

One interptation I've heard is the mark of the beast isn't technological like a chip in our hand, but it's symbolic as much of revelations is. The mark on our hand is symbolic of our actions, the mark on our head is our aliegence to the beast. (Or something like that). Honestly I don't know much about symbolism and there's a dozen plus theories for the symbols of Revelations. But this theory opened my mind to new possibilities. The mark could be a real mark. It could be an implanted chip. Or it could be symbolic of something else of our actions or behavior assoicated with the beast.

Regardless of the truth of these verses, if you stay faithful to Jesus, and don't renounce HIm in the upcoming pressure foretold, then I'm sure you will be safe from having the mark.

Along those lines, I heard one guy say the mark on your hands was your works and the mark on your forehead was your thoughts. I didn't really but into then nor do I now. Just thought I'd bring it up.

A mark means a visible impression, identifying seal, inscription or label. The mark of the beast is just that which is full of political self
governed power that disguises itself as a religious system full of symbolism that is very deceptive to those who have no Spiritual discernment. From its throne will be displayed many signs and wonders that will promise peace and safety during the time of great tribulation as Gods wrath will be poured out during the seven trumpets sounding. Many will take this mark believing it to be a visible sign of God, but with a great falling away from God will be deceived and separated from God forever.
