I chose Other,
There might of been a time when I would of chose Looks and all.

But what I find far more attractive now is a man who is grounded in the Word of God. Someone who knows and loves the Lord with all his heart, is beautiful to me. :biggrin

And by the way to all that don't know I am an woman... Drake is the name of my dog.

I suppose it all depends on what one looks for in a person. If I were looking for a spouse (which i'm not) I would seek a female. To be able to communicate they would have to speak the same languages the i can. They would have to be a mature christian. They would have to be human, single and have no problems with alcohol, tobacco and drug addiction!

I guess she would have to be the rib from my side.

I voted other as well since there are several of those things I find important (NOT money or power though!).

However, the most important thing is not listed there and that is if they are a strong Christian. For Christians, that should be at the top of the list.

Looks are usually what attracts us in the first place to another person so there is a small amount of importance there but it shouldn't be more important than everything else. Personality is a biggie since we need to mesh well with the other person. Two completely opposites or exactly alikes may not do as well as a good mix of similarities and differences. Similarites give a common ground (besides being Christians - since that should be the first thing) and differences add excitment. We can learn so much through another person's differences.

Lots of things are attractive to me in other people.

If I'm just going to have a crush on someone, then looks and maybe even a nice personality are about all that's important.

If I was to consider dating that person, then personality and at least some degree of looks would be a must, as would a sense of humour, an honest heart, intelligence etc.

If it was a friend, all I really need is openness and trust.

Really, though, there is nothing I actually consciously look for in anyone, I just take them the way they are, and either like them or don't. I usually manage to get on well with and really like most people, though, so I guess I'm lucky that way. :biggrin

Oh come on!! Yall are lying if ya said looks is'nt important. We are visual creatures first, and then you get to know someone based on the attraction.

There's a difference between important and "most important" which is what the poll asked. There are some good looking people that are tough to be around, then there are some -- ahem -- less than good looking people that are cheerful, friendly, trustworthy and make you happy. I would think most people over the age of 35 would have recognized the need for those inner qualities more than the outer qualities.

relationship with Jesus+ nice physical appearance=total package for some, but hey, we are all different and have different tastes. We do need to remember beauty is deceptive, just make sure when the honeymoon is over you're not lying next to satan.

I picked the good looks. Really, thats how it starts.
If you don't have that, it wouldn't ever go anywhere.
Really, who wants to date/marry an ugly person?

Someone who's learned that true beauty and true ugliness applies to much more than just looks.

All are created in the image of God.

Therefore, look for God in all people.

I sure hope this wasn't addressed to me because number 1 - if anyone really likes to tick me off, call me a liar! Number 2 - didn't I say that looks are a little bit important since it is what attracts us to each other (usually) in the first place? I said it shouldn't be the MOST important.

The physical basis of attraction is one of the reasons I don't believe in God. People try to act in an unsuperficial way but need to realize they are wired to act in a superficial way and are usually doing so even if they think they aren't.

Huh???????What did God do now?

Made a very superficial world.

Made physical attraction primary in attracting people to eachother.

Made some people very attractive.

Made some people very ugly.

Doesn't add up to a clever God.
