If your convictions tell you not to do it, then why would you have no problem with other people doing it? To me that sounds similar to "it's not ok for me, but it might be ok for you".

Sounds can be deceiving.

Matthew 15
13 But He answered and said, “Every plant which My heavenly Father has not planted will be uprooted.
14 Let them alone. They are blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind leads the blind, both will fall into a ditch.”

John 10
14 I am the good shepherd; and I know My sheep, and am known by My own.

God will get the truth to those that are His. Not everyone that makes the claim of Christian is a part of the flock. That's sad but true.

Jesus says to just leave'em alone. So I do.

What about loving your neighbor as yourself and how that applies?

Beyond what's posted in this thread, there's really not a whole lot I can do. You seen the reaction of some of the posters here. Can you imagine what would happen if I took this into a church?

I let people worship who they want to worship. It's none of my business.

.

Right here.

Acts 17
24 God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;
25 Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things;
<snip>
29 Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device.

30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:

These are just general statements and none of this addresses the point Paul makes in verse 23, where he very clearly uses the pagan altar as a means to point to God. This is exactly what we have with Easter and what we have with the cross.

You are implying that those who celebrate Easter in a way that you disagree with--without basis--are worshipping someone other than God. That is against the TOS.

I don't attend church. Never have..
That explains a lot.

Well I guess you and I just see things different.

It happens.

If you had been following along and paying attention, you would know that's not true.

My kids absolutely know what Easter is all about AND they are getting chocolate bunnies on Sunday!

It's going to be a wonderful celebration!

So did I, after all my father was a deacon .
But, as a kid, that was what I was excited about, Easter baskets full of goodies, and hunting for dyed eggs.

I hope you had a wonderful celebration.
I hope the exclamation marks, doesn't mean you are angry with me, for stating what I knew about it.

Good evening to you

oddly, pashac for me would be an idol. I have to remind myself im not a jew like unto my kin. but a follower of god whenever I read or get heavy into my ancestral lineage. its not all the time but its different when the faith is a family thing on a bigger level. jews unlike most Christians do things as a group.

How could passover be an idol?
Christ said take this bread, it is my body, take this cup, it is my blood shed for us, the N.T.
Do this for a memorial, remembrance of Me.
Luke 22:19,20
Exodus 12:13,14
This day shall be unto you for a memorial, shall keep it as a feast 4ever.

you aren't a jew. there is no mentioning of jesus in Passover in straight terms.

No way, I wasn't angry at all. It's difficult to express exactly what we are trying to convey on social media sometimes. I am generally very laid back and have learned, 99% of the time anger is a waste of time and energy.

Kids should be reached at their level with a nice balance.

I hope you had a wonderful celebration as well.

Not sure if you read that whole thread or not, but I'm wondering in light of this how do you view the symbol of the cross? It was pointed out earlier that the cross is a symbol that came from paganism as well as being a symbol of a horribly murderous anti-Christian government, and was never used by the early church as a symbol of Jesus or Christianity. Since the cross is a similar symbol that Christians have taken from paganism and are using for Christian purposes today, can I assume you reject the cross as well?
I do not use the cross as a symbol in my worship. Although in the past I did. Studying the bible and doing historic research is a process so as I learned about the pagan origins of things I removed them from my worship. After the apostles died people started to deviate from true, pure worship. I think it is important to do research and find out if our beliefs line up with biblical teachings. I don't look down on people who celebrate the holidays, that is their choice. When I stopped celebrating the holidays I explained why to my family but I didn't try to persuade them to stop.

No, I'm not a Jew, but I do believe, I am from the tribe of Ephraim.
Regardless, in Christ we are from Abraham's seed and heirs to the promise.
Read Psa.91:
Surely He shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
He shall cover thee with His feathers, and under His wings shalt thou trust, His truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night, nor for the arrow that flieth by day,
Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness, nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.

A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand, but it shall not come nigh thee.
Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.

Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my fefuge, even the most High, thy habitation,
There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come high thy dwelling.

Evil shall Passover me.

Rev.11:6 2 witnesses
..and smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.
Rev.9:4
And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree, but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads.
Rev.6:6
...and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.

Good day

Good, I am so happy to hear that.
Hope you have a great day.

if you truly were a Hebrew. it would be the same. read what the huppa is and then ponder that. I can go into that in great lengths but in short. the point was that one can miss the Light, by looking at its shadows for too long.

Imagine someone celebrating their spouse's birthday on the date of their ex's birthday.

Or a murderer killing a spouse, and then the other celebrates their spouse on their spouse's murderer's birthday.
