The resurrection has not taken place yet, so Jesus has not returned.

Each one of the kingdoms of the 5 horsemen last for a thousand years or longer. The kingdom that Constantine founded lasted until 1453. Judgement day (i.e., the white throne judgement) is after the reign of the 5th horseman

I'll offer the following excerpt from a study on Matthew Chapter Twenty-four given by Gene Hawkins I transcribed from CD's.

Matthew 24:29-30. "Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken." And here is more of that visible outward coming of Jesus. 30 "And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory." Then we see that "And then," and then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven, and this is going to be in contrast to the spectacular signs that the false prophet and the antichrist are offering. Then it is going to be the sign of what? Remember back in Verse Twenty-six that Jesus is not coming in a hidden fashion to some secret desert place by any stretch of the imagination. At this time He's talking about how it will be wide open first in judgment, then we see all of the tribulation of those days of the sun and the moon refusing to shine, and these are elements over which man has no control; global warming or anything else. Man doesn't have any power over that, and this is going to be manifest as Christ having absolute rule and authority over all of those things.

In 2 Peter 3:10 we read "Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?" And then add to that "And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn." Now all of the tribes of the earth have to include more than just the tribes that are in Israel. It indicates all that are on the earth at that time, and notice, "They shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory." So we can contrast that with Verse Twenty-three, "And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved" and then with Verse Twenty-six where we read "Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not." It is not a hidden thing this time and He is going to come openly first in power and great judgment.

:toofunny Most assuredly. When I first read the OP I immediately thought of the exact scriptures that JLB posted, having read them before; but didn't want to come across too...harshly or whatever. So I kept it light. This is the scripture that we should keep in mind whenever people start saying things such as is described in Matthew 24: 23-26

23 At that time if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Messiah!’ or, ‘There he is!’ do not believe it. 24 For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. 25 See, I have told you ahead of time.
26 “So if anyone tells you, ‘There he is, out in the wilderness,’ do not go out; or, ‘Here he is, in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it./ (NIV)

For he will be in the clouds and every eye will see him. Question: What is the sign of the Son of man? ( A Cross?) ??

There will be no Sun or Light from the Sun on at least half the Planet.
No light from the moon on the other half, since the moon only reflects light from the Sun.

If that weren't enough darkness, there won't even be any light from the stars.

Total Pitch Black darkness.

Then the Light of the world will appear!

No wonder every eye will see...

I never heard that before. I'm no expert on this but it didn't seem to read like that for me. At any rate, no one knows the time or hour but the Father so I'm playing it safe and try to hold myself as if it will be at any moment that He returns. He will come in the same fashion as the Bridegroom did in old time Jewish weddings, at a moments notice, usually at night and always unannounced. The bride better be ready!

If I die still waiting, that's ok, but do you know how grand it would be to be standing and in the Spirit at the moment Jesus returns? That would be absolutely magnificent!

After the event, we do know the exact day and hour Jesus came into power. John said the Revelation would begin unfolding with speed, and it did. It is evident that the first horseman cannot be in the future (our future) because bows are no longer used in modern combat.

The above scripture teaches us that when The Lord Jesus returns, the dead in Christ will rise also, and from that point on we shall all be with the Lord.

Are saying that the resurrection is past?


2 Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. 3 And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure. 1 John 3:2

Are you saying that you are now at this moment wearing a glorified body that will never die.



34 And Jesus answered and said to them, "The sons of this age marry and are given in marriage. 35 But those who are counted worthy to attain that age, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry nor are given in marriage; 36 nor can they die anymore, for they are equal to the angels and are sons of God, being sons of the resurrection. Luke 20:34-36

Are you saying, somehow, that people no longer marry or are given in marriage?



It seems that The Lord Jesus and the apostle Paul taught a completely different Gospel than the one you teach.



Furthermore Paul taught us that those who teach the resurrection is past teach a message that is like cancer, a disease that spreads and overthrows the faith of God's people.

16 But shun profane and idle babblings, for they will increase to more ungodliness. 17 And their message will spread like cancer. Hymenaeus and Philetus are of this sort, 18 who have strayed concerning the truth, saying that the resurrection is already past; and they overthrow the faith of some.

The Creator wasn't in power before 312 AD? Hmmm ... I guess you're a figment of my imagination, then, because if the Creator had no power before 312 AD, nothing in the Bible happened. In fact, there is no Bible. There is no Earth. There is nothing!!
