Abraham too!! However this is a different subject that has nothing to do with the sons of God in Genesis 6. They weren't sons of God
It's the same Abraham and same Noah. They were sons of God by faith. And humans. Just like us. It has everything to do with Genesis 6.

We're grafted into the vine, Brother. It's not the same.

Can you see where Adam is slightly different because he was directly created by the hand of God and not born of woman...unlike every other man since...??

Being granted the power to become sons of God

John 1:12
12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:.../

and then reaching into the future through faith to grab that promise, like you said...became sons of God, and were grafted into the vine...and God let them do that because He knew that promise was coming anyway...Faith rewarded. That's how God rolls. If it was like how you say, that human sons of God mated with our women in Genesis 6...then why did they have Weird giant offspring?

The burden is on you, to provide a scripture from the Old Testament that shows offspring of Adam were sons of God.
The author of Hebrews and author of Genesis provides the proof as previously posted. Both Abraham and Noah were heirs of God.

Are you going to post the context from Genesis 6 that mentioned angels?

Can you see where Adam is slightly different because he was directly created by the hand of God and not born of woman...unlike every other man since...??
No. First, but not different. God created both Adam and Eve in His likeness.

Genesis 1:26-28 And God said, “Let us make humankind in our image and according to our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of heaven, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every moving thing that moves upon the earth.” So God created humankind in his image, in the likeness of God he created him, male and female he created them. And God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth and subdue it, and rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of heaven, and over every animal that moves upon the earth.”

Genesis 5:1-3 This is the record of the generations of Adam. When God created Adam, he made him in the likeness of God. Male and female he created them. And he blessed them. And he called their name “Humankind” when they were created. And when Adam had lived one hundred and thirty years, he fathered a child in his likeness, according to his image. And he called his name Seth.

God called Adam and Eve humankind. Seth (and all humankind all the way to Noah) were also made in the likeness of God.

You need to answer my question, by providing a scripture that shows there were sons of God in the line of Adam.

Sons of God in the old testament was a reference to angels as I have provided the scriptures.

Jesus Himself called Himself the Son of Man, and reference to being a son of Adam.

Male human beings are called sons of men.

Help, Lord, for the godly man ceases,
For the faithful disappear from among the sons of men.
Psalm 12:1

Their offspring You shall destroy from the earth,
And their descendants from among the sons of men.
Psalm 21:10

The Lord looks from heaven;
He sees all the sons of men.
Psalm 33:13

Come and see the works of God;
He is awesome in His doing toward the sons of men.
Psalms 66:5

Female human beings are called the daughters of men.

Now it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born to them, that the sons of God saw the daughters of men, that they were beautiful; and they took wives for themselves of all whom they chose. Genesis 6:1-2

  • when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born to them
  • that the sons of God saw the daughters of men, that they were beautiful; and they took wives for themselves

Please show us a scripture from the old testament, that refers to an offspring of Adam as a son of God.

Sons of God in the Old Testament referred to angels.

4 There were giants on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown. Genesis 6:4

  • Peter also refers to these sons of God as angels, referring to the time of Noah.

For if God did not spare the angels who sinned, but cast them down to hell and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved for judgment; and did not spare the ancient world, but saved Noah, one of eight people, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood on the world of the ungodly; 2 Peter 2:4

and again

by whom also He went and preached to the spirits in prison, who formerly were disobedient, when once the Divine longsuffering waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight souls, were saved through water.
1 Peter 3:19-20

6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came among them.
Job 1:6

7 When the morning stars sang together,
And all the sons of God shouted for joy?
Job 38:7

nor can they die anymore, for they are equal to the angels and are sons of God, being sons of the resurrection. Luke 20:36

  • The only way for a human to become a son of God is to be born again; Born of the Spirit.

3 Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
4 Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?”
5 Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. John 3:3-6

  • and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

Was Adam a male human being with generations after him?

Yes
You can read about "the generations of Adam" all the way to Noah and Noah's sons and daughters above⬆️.
Yes I provided the whole of Genesis 5 for your reference.

No sons of God mentioned.

Who told you that sons of God were not human?
The scriptures teach us that sons of God in the old testament referred to angels.

Do you believe Noah's sons who were Adam's sons who was God's creation survived the flood on the ark?
Shem, Ham, and Japeth survived the flood.

13 On the very same day Noah and Noah’s sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth, and Noah’s wife and the three wives of his sons with them, entered the ark— Genesis 7:13

Do you believe Noah and his sons, produced Nephilim giants, as their offspring?

Do you believe the Nephilim giants were evil or godly?

Do you believe God had the children of Israel drive out godly giants from the promised land?

So God blessed Noah and his sons, and said to them: “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth. Genesis 9:1

I'm still waiting for a scripture that shows us there were sons of God being produced by natural child birth, from the sons of Adam [men].

A son of God is the offspring of God, as a reference to Spiritual birth.

That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. John 3:6

Angels were directly created by God, and are called sons of God.
Adam was directly created by God, and is called a son of God
Jesus is the only begotten of the Father.

A son of God can not be produced by natural child birth.

You need to answer my question, by providing a scripture that shows there were sons of God in the line of Adam.
I did that already;⬇️
Hebrews 11:2-3, 7 For by this [faith] the people of old were approved. By faith we understand the worlds were created by the word of God, in order that what is seen did not come into existence from what is visible.

By faith Noah, having been warned about things not yet seen, out of reverence constructed an ark for the deliverance of his family, by which he pronounced sentence on the world and became an heir of the righteousness that comes by faith.

"An heir" means in Messianic usage, one who receives his allotted possession by right of sonship: so of Christ, as κληρονόμοςπάντων, all things being subjected to his sway, Hebrews 1:2;
of Christians, as exalted by faith to the dignity of sons of Abraham and so of sons of God, and hence, to receive the blessings of God's kingdom promised to Abraham:

http://biblehub.com/greek/2818.htm
Noah is an heir (which literally means right of sonship) of the righteousness that comes by faith. Poof!

Then I repeated my original challenge for you to show where angels where mentioned in Gen 6. Which you've not shown.

There were giants on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown. Genesis 6:4
This passage speaks of:
1. Gaints (tall men)
2. Sons of God (Noah was one and a human)
3. Daughters (females of humankind)
4. Men (males of humankind)
5. Children (males and/or females of humankind)
But no angels were mentioned
For if God did not spare the angels who sinned, but cast them down to hell and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved for judgment; and did not spare the ancient world, but saved Noah, one of eight people, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood on the world of the ungodly; 2 Peter 2:4
See, Noah was a preacher of righteousness, an indeed an heir of the righteousness (which means he had the right of sonship) even in the ancient world discussed in Gen 6. Poof!

by whom also He went and preached to the spirits in prison, who formerly were disobedient, when once the Divine longsuffering waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight souls, were saved through water.
1 Peter 3:19-20
Yes, the divine waited in the days of Noah when eight human souls (Noah being an heir of righteousness) were saved. Notice that the spirits were in prison, not on Earth.

6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came among them.
Yes, Satan can come among the sons of God as they presented themselves before the Lord:

Job 1:1-2, 5 There was a man in the land of Uz whose name was Job. That man was blameless and upright and God-fearing and turning away from evil. And seven sons and three daughters were born to him. Then when the days of the feast had run their course, Job would send, and he would sanctify them. Thus he would arise early in the morning and offer burnt offerings according to the number of all of them, because Job thought, “Perhaps my children have sinned and cursed God in their heart.” This is what Job used to do all the time.

Can you show how it is that Job (a blameless man, not an angel) or his seven sons were ever called angels as he presented them for sanctification before the Lord?

The only way for a human to become a son of God is to be born again; Born of the Spirit.
Okay. I agree.
Was Noah an heir of righteousness, yes or no?

I haven't seen your scripture that shows us there were sons of God mentioned in the lineage of Adam.

This is the book of the genealogy of Adam. In the day that God created man, He made him in the likeness of God. 2 He created them male and female, and blessed them and called them Mankind in the day they were created. 3 And Adam lived one hundred and thirty years, and begot a son in his own likeness, after his image, and named him Seth. 4 After he begot Seth, the days of Adam were eight hundred years; and he had sons and daughters. 5 So all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years; and he died.

6 Seth lived one hundred and five years, and begot Enosh. 7 After he begot Enosh, Seth lived eight hundred and seven years, and had sons and daughters. 8 So all the days of Seth were nine hundred and twelve years; and he died.

9 Enosh lived ninety years, and begot Cainan. 10 After he begot Cainan, Enosh lived eight hundred and fifteen years, and had sons and daughters. 11 So all the days of Enosh were nine hundred and five years; and he died.

12 Cainan lived seventy years, and begot Mahalalel. 13 After he begot Mahalalel, Cainan lived eight hundred and forty years, and had sons and daughters. 14 So all the days of Cainan were nine hundred and ten years; and he died.

15 Mahalalel lived sixty-five years, and begot Jared. 16 After he begot Jared, Mahalalel lived eight hundred and thirty years, and had sons and daughters. 17 So all the days of Mahalalel were eight hundred and ninety-five years; and he died.

18 Jared lived one hundred and sixty-two years, and begot Enoch. 19 After he begot Enoch, Jared lived eight hundred years, and had sons and daughters. 20 So all the days of Jared were nine hundred and sixty-two years; and he died.

21 Enoch lived sixty-five years, and begot Methuselah. 22 After he begot Methuselah, Enoch walked with God three hundred years, and had sons and daughters. 23 So all the days of Enoch were three hundred and sixty-five years. 24 And Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him.

25 Methuselah lived one hundred and eighty-seven years, and begot Lamech. 26 After he begot Lamech, Methuselah lived seven hundred and eighty-two years, and had sons and daughters. 27 So all the days of Methuselah were nine hundred and sixty-nine years; and he died.

28 Lamech lived one hundred and eighty-two years, and had a son. 29 And he called his name Noah, saying, “This one will comfort us concerning our work and the toil of our hands, because of the ground which the Lord has cursed.” 30 After he begot Noah, Lamech lived five hundred and ninety-five years, and had sons and daughters. 31 So all the days of Lamech were seven hundred and seventy-seven years; and he died.

32 And Noah was five hundred years old, and Noah begot Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

Genesis 5:1-32

These sons and daughters were called sons of men and daughters of men, not sons of God.

Now it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born to them, 2 that the sons of God saw the daughters of men, that they were beautiful; and they took wives for themselves of all whom they chose. Genesis 6:1-2

Poof what?

Noah was not called a son of God.

He was the son of Lamech.

There was no spiritual birth, until Jesus Christ was manifest and died for us on the cross.

For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. Galatians 3:26

Are you saying Noah's sons were Nephilim?

Please show from the scriptures that Noah's sons were Nephilim Giants.

Was Noah an heir of righteousness, yes or no?
7 By faith Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his household, by which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith. Hebrews 11:7

Noah became an heir of righteousness, because of His obedience to build an Ark.

Noah was inline to inherit righteousness.

Was He an heir of righteousness when his three sons were born? No.

Were Noah's sons Nephilim giants?

Do you believe Nephilim giants were ungodly or godly?

Angels are sons of God now.

Humans will become sons of God at the resurrection when the attain to the resurrection and can not die anymore.

Now in this life we are sons of God through faith, and have the hope of becoming sons of God and attaining the resurrection of life, in which we will have a body that won't die anymore.

35 But those who are counted worthy to attain that age, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry nor are given in marriage; 36 nor can they die anymore, for they are equal to the angels and are sons of God, being sons of the resurrection.
Luke 20:35-36

Sons of God in the Old Testament referred to angels.

4 There were giants on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown. Genesis 6:4

  • Peter also refers to these sons of God as angels, referring to the time of Noah.

Yes, the divine waited in the days of Noah when eight human souls (Noah being an heir of righteousness) were saved. Notice that the spirits were in prison, not on Earth.

These were spirits [angels] not humans, who were down in the heart of the earth, chained awaiting the Day of Judgement, as Peter also said

Peter teaches us those sons of God, were indeed angels, and were disobedient during the days of Noah, and were cast down to hell.

Yes the sons of God were angels.

Job was not an angel.

Job was not among the sons of God and Satan who presented themselves before the Lord, as the meeting was not on earth.

  • And the Lord said to Satan, “From where do you come?” So Satan answered the Lord and said, “From going to and fro on the earth

6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came among them. 7 And the Lord said to Satan, “From where do you come?”
So Satan answered the Lord and said, “From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking back and forth on it.”
8 Then the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil?” 9 So Satan answered the Lord and said, “Does Job fear God for nothing? 10 Have You not made a hedge around him, around his household, and around all that he has on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land. 11 But now, stretch out Your hand and touch all that he has, and he will surely curse You to Your face!”12 And the Lord said to Satan, “Behold, all that he has is in your power; only do not lay a hand on his person.

So Satan went out from the presence of the Lord. Job 1:6-12

As I went through this, I thought it translated better (through study) if it were worded...He went and declared victory to the spirits in prison (not Abraham's bosom!). The ones in prison. He wasn't preaching. He was declaring victory. Take that, you! :rollingpin

Those stupid Stupid spirits. They prolly thought they won themselves when Jesus died on that cross...SUPRISE!!!! :hysterical

Yes, which is called Tartarus [hell], in the Greek.

Unlike Sheol, Hades or Gehenna, Tartarus seems to be set aside as the worst of the worst, for spirits.

19 by whom also He went and preached to the spirits in prison, 20 who formerly were disobedient, when once the Divine longsuffering waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight souls, were saved through water. 1 Peter 3:19-20

again

For if God did not spare the angels who sinned, but cast them down to hell and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved for judgment; and did not spare the ancient world, but saved Noah, one of eight people, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood on the world of the ungodly; 2 Peter 2:4-5

  • Not much is mentioned about this place, and this seems to be the only reference in the NT, but I think we can all agree, it's not good.

Vines: https://www.studylight.org/dictionaries/ved/h/hell.html

The verb tartaroo, translated "cast down to hell" in 2 Peter 2:4 , signifies to consign to Tartarus, which is neither Sheol nor hades nor hell, but the place where those angels whose special sin is referred to in that passage are confined "to be reserved unto judgment;" the region is described as "pits of darkness," RV.

For if God messengers who sinned did not spare, but with chains of thick gloom, having cast [them] down to Tartarus, did deliver [them] to judgment, having been reserved, 2 Peter 2:4 YLT

Very possibly where Satan will be chained for a thousand years, until his release and the end of the millennium.

Now when the thousand years have expired, Satan will be released from his prison.
Revelation 20:7

The scriptures teach us that sons of God in the old testament referred to angels.
Where, exactly (last chance)? Certainly Adam was no angel nor was his son that was born "in his likeness". Nor was Job or his sons angels when they were sanctified before the Lord.

Yes I provided the whole of Genesis 5 for your reference.

No sons of God mentioned.
So let me get this straight. Adam was a son of God and Adam fathered a son "in his likeness, according to his image" but this son (Seth who called on the name of Yahweh) was not really like Adam on your view?

And when Adam had lived one hundred and thirty years, he fathered a child in his likeness, according to his image. And he called his name Seth.

Genesis 4:26 And as for Seth, he also fathered a son, and he called his name Enosh. At that time he began to call on the name of Yahweh.

Do you believe Noah and his sons, produced Nephilim giants, as their offspring?
One of Noah's sons did, as already shown:

1 Chronicles 20:6 And again there was war in Gath. And there was a very tall man there, and he had six fingers on each hand and six toes on each foot, twenty-four in all. He himself was also a descendant of the Rephaim.
Genesis 10:1-3 These are the generations of the sons of Noah—Shem, Ham, and Japheth. Children were born to them after the flood. The sons of Japheth: Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, and Tiras. And the sons of Gomer: Ashkenaz, Riphath, and Togarmah.

Do you believe the Nephilim giants were evil or godly?
Evil. Evil men. Evil giant men. Evil giant men who were descendants of Gomer, a descendant of Japeth, a descendant of Noah. Not products of angels.

Do you believe God had the children of Israel drive out godly giants from the promised land?
No, God had them drive out evil giant men from the promised land who where NOT 'fathered' by angels.

I'm still waiting for a scripture that shows us there were sons of God being produced by natural child birth, from the sons of Adam [men].
I never said sons of God were produced by natural child birth.

God produces sons of God 'directly' by humans made in His image calling upon His name, not by natural birth. From ancient times to modern times, this has been true.

Genesis 4:26 And as for Seth, he also fathered a son, and he called his name Enosh. At that time he began to call on the name of Yahweh.

Romans 10:13 For “everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved.”

A son of God is the offspring of God, as a reference to Spiritual birth.
Bingo!
And everyone who calls upon His name will be saved. Everyone, old or new.

A son of God can not be produced by natural child birth.
Okay, I haven't said otherwise.

Galatians 3:26, 29 For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus,
.. And if you are Christ’s, then you are descendants of Abraham, heirs according to the promise.

Yep and a "man" just like the Scripture says he was. And just like the Scriptures say, they died like a man, just like Adam did:

You've not answered:
"Where are angels mentioned in this [Gen 6] context?"
If you can show from the Old Testament where the offspring of Adam were called the sons of God then you may have a point.

I have shown from the scriptures where the offspring of Adam were called the sons of men and daughters of men, as well as the sons of God were a reference to angels.

If sons of God were a reference to the sons and daughters of Adam, then the women would have been called daughters of God.

Since it makes a distinction in the species, sons of God and daughters of men, in Genesis 6:4, along with sons of God being a reference to angels, as well as humans being referred to as sons of men, as well as Peter referring to the angels and spirits who sinned in the time of Noah, as well as the offspring of the sons of God being Nephilim giants that God destroyed before the flood as well as afterward, and furthermore the sons of God were not affected by the flood all make for an overwhelming and irrefutable amount of evidence against your ZERO evidence that is only your opinion backed up with ZERO scripture.

Yes
So let me get this straight. Adam was a son of God and Adam fathered a son "in his likeness, according to his image" but this son (Seth who called on the name of Yahweh) was not really like Adam on your view?
All of Adams offspring were called sons of men, which is a reference to Adam.

You will never be able to prove that the offspring of Adam were called sons of God.

Yes
God produces sons of God 'directly' by humans made in His image calling upon His name, not by natural birth. From ancient times to modern times, this has been true.
Absolutely False.

Complete Heresy.

You must be born again.

Not just born of the flesh.

Born again.

Born of the Spirit.

To be a son of God.
