Believe me, I have heard all the snarky responses already, and they come from people who don't even grasp simple rules of reading Greek or Hebrew, so I don't really put any stock in their opinions about " end times " or scripture in general

And if you've read the Hebrew, you know that Tavah means " to mark " whereas if you haven't bothered to look into the the methods of gematria the writers of the scriptures used, you will not know that the letter Tav which as a word literally means

Not being sarcastic here, because I actually do delve into the Hebrew and Greek root-words because many translations are indeed just translated wrong, so I get that. But me studying prophecy for 30 years, understanding Babylon, the Harlot, the Seven Headed Beast etc. etc. I have come to believe that people overemphasize 666. Hear me out.Most folks are unaware of this thing known as a titlo
You may have even looked right at it, and not even noticed
Or, you may have seen the titlo written over Christ's name in other manuscripts
Here is the example of 666 with the titlo from Revelation 13:18
Being that a titlo refers to a " nomen sacrum " ( sacred name ), and not just, but the abbreviation of the sacred name, would you like to take a guess what 666 abbreviates and how it is an abbreviation ?
The Man of Sin will not be revealed until the Rapture I think, some think hes revealed and then the Rapture put that's not the point. He will not be Revealed until the end times, so no one will know his name until hes revealed, or else he would already have been revealed. Self fulfilling prophecy in essence. But I go even further, why place the riddle there then? God foes nothing without a reason, why give us a riddle that's never meant to be solved, until we know who he is? That just doesn't seem like God's ways, so why the number 666?
My sense is this, it God revealing unto us that this last Beast is not a Kingdom per se but a man. The other six Beasts were Kingdoms that had many kings. Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Persia and Greece were the 5 who had fallen, Rome was the one that WAS at the time John wrote Revelation, and this last Beast will be the Little Horn of Daniel chapters 7 and 8. (Anti-Christ) Unlike all the rest this Beast is one man, he rises as the Beast by Conquering Jerusalem (42 months) and falls to Jesus Christ at Armageddon as the King who falls.
God wants us, in my opinion, to understand hes a mere man, thus his number is 666, the number of God is 7. If we count the triune Gd in like manner we come up with 777, if we count the Beast, False Prophet and anti-christ spirit we come up with 666. There could be a mans actual name, but even if it is it will not mater in realty. I just think its telling us hes a man, and this Beast wants us to serve and worship him as God instead of God, hes trying to replace God in other words.

This makes the association between the Tabernacle, Christ, and the mark

When I started studying the scriptures, I really tended to read what other people had written, instead of diving in and really going deep, and it actually took me several years to really look a little closer and notice the titlo, which led me to question the fact it's never discussed
It's funny to me, that many take Revelation's call for " he who has wisdom " to " reckon / count the number of the beast " to refer to them, personally
" OOH , that's me !! I'm the one with wisdom ! "
I've seen 666 explained as everything from chakras to carbon to microchip implants, when in fact the very textual content of 13:18 spells out very clearly it is a name ( onoma )
The fact 666 has a titlo over it is exactly for that reason, a titlo signifies the word is a name
Not just used over any name, the titlo is reserved for a " nomen sacrum " ( holy name ) in Greek Bible manuscripts
Here in Papyrus 46, we can see the titlo over 666 in 13:18 ( 666 ), as well as some other names ( See if you can identify the other names with the titlo in papyrus 46, just for fun
And here is an example from a different manuscript, part of Matthew, in which we can clearly see the abbreviated form of the name Jesus, spelt "ΙΗΣΟΥΣ" in Greek capitals, below as IHC
Considering that 666 is an abbreviation for the name " Christ " in Greek, containing the first and last letters in the word ( plus the number 6 ), I would say that microchip implants, chakras and carbon do not come anywhere near the truth of the topic
Naturally I don't expect everybody to be an expert in ancient Greek, but this topic should have been well understood by anybody who is a serious student of the Bible
