"Moses led the Israelites accross the desert."

Anti-catholic
DOOOOH! Don't say that. IT'S BLASPHEMY! GOD LED THEM ACROSS!

Catholic:
But the Bible says ...

Anti-Catholic:
DOESN'T MATTER, IT"S BLASPHEMY ANYWAY.

Catholic:
But Moses interceeded for the whole tribe. God was going to kill them all and he saved them through his intercession.

Anti-catholic:
More wicked BLAPHEMY God spared them. Men can't save anyone. Wicked lies. The Pope is the anti-christ and Martin Luther was the greatest scholar who ever lived and Peter preached a Gospel of works and Mary was a concieted peasant girl. Lies, all lies.

Catholic:

But Mary was the Mother of God. Elizabeth called her "Mother of my Lord"

Anti-Catholic:
More Mary worship. Wicked lies, the pope is the anti-christ and Catholics are zombies.

Catholic:
Did you know that there is a direct parrellel between Mary and the Ark of the covenant between 2 Sam 6 and Luke 1.

Anti-Catholic.
(Hands over ears) Blaphemy, wicked lies, the Pope is the Anti-christ and Catholics worship Mary. Wow what a strech. Three verses directly analogous in Luke 1 and 2 Sam 6 is just a coincidence. So what if both events happened in Judah? You know what I bet the devil did that so that it would confuse Catholics in to worshipping Mary. (I've actually heard the arguement that the devil caused Catholics to see this parrellel). DENY! DENY! DENY. The Pope is the anti-christ and Romanists are Papist Zombies. The Church is the whore of babylon. Go to the AntiChrist slideshow website and you will find all the truth about Catholics. Don't go to the Catechism. In there they lie about what they believe.

Such is the life of a Catholic on Protestant message boards.

Blessings

Lest we forget, gentlemen, Eve was deceived- Adam disobeyed willingly.

I see it differently.

God said: You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die. Genesis 2:16

Eve said: The woman said to the serpent, "We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, but God did say, 'You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.' " Genesis 3:2-3

So we have the first sin. Adding to God's word; adding man-made dogma.... like the Roman Catholics!

Doesn't matter how you see it. Eve was deceived. Adam was not.
This is why it is written that in ADAM all men died.

Lord knows that Protestants don't have any 'man made dogmas.'

Actually, the sin committed was a subtraction from God's word. God had commanded a fast, ie not eating of a certain food. This was a word given from God to both the man and the woman.

The serpent convinced her that God had not really said what He did.
When Eve looked and saw that it was good for food, she demonstrated what individual interpretation leads to.

OC sez: Eve was deceived, Adam willingly disobeyed
Gary sez: I don't see it that way
Scripture sez about Eve:
But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity* that is in Christ.
Scripture sez about Adam:
Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.
or as the NLT renders it
they all died anyway--even though they did not disobey an explicit commandment of God, as Adam did. What a contrast between Adam and Christ, who was yet to come!

Death reigns over those who did not willingly trespass. Death reigned over Mary. Death reigned over John the forerunner and Samuel the prophet.

How u see it now, Gary?

Gary, a darkened mind can receive nothing of the truth.

Eve made a decision to come out from under the covering of her head, Adam, this was her first mistake, and was a choice of will.

I wonder if OC can even answer the question of why Adam is responsible for death entering into man?

I doubt it.

Who taught Eve that "you must not touch it"? The original instruction was to Adam "You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die." Genesis 2:16 BEFORE God said: "It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him." Genesis 2:18

Was Adam's incorrect instruction to Eve (adding words to God's word) the first transgression?

Since God walked with the man and the woman "in the cool of the day," why do you assume that instructing the woman was the province of Adam? Perhaps you can demonstrate that in Genesis 2?

As for the first transgression, do we all die, even those who have not sinned in like manner to Adam-- by being poor teachers? Perhaps the Protestants do....

1 Peter  3 : 1, "In like manner, wives, be subject to your own husbands, that even if any disobey the word, they will be gained without the word through the manner of life of their wives,"

Ephesians  5 : 22, "Wives, be subject to your own husbands as to the Lord;"

Ephesians  5 : 24, "But as the church is subject to Christ, so also let the wives be subject to their husbands in everything."

Colossians  3 : 18, "Wives, be subject to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord."

Titus  2 : 5, "To be of a sober mind, pure, workers at home, good, subject to their own husbands, that the word of God would not be blasphemed."

I ask for a demonstration that it was not God instructing directly in the Garden, and CJ gives some discourse about teaching in this fallen world.

Shooting again at the barnside and hitting the building behind him.

James, he who is
not the same yesterday, today, and forever,
and neither were Adam and Eve.

OC, the scriptures are simply God's speaking to us. The same God who was in the garden is the one who was in the men who penned the scriptures.

God's realm of authority and order is just God expressed, whether we're talking about back in Adam's time or today.

You asked a question I gave you the answer. Because I did not use the scripture you suggested is really not an issue.

Better than playing with the blanks you attempt to shoot with.
