Alright, I may only be 27 years old but let me tell you right here and now that this is one of my favorite movies. :)

follow the yellow brick road, Auntie Em, Auntie Em, and those Ruby red slippers, how can you not like this movie that has flying monkeys and a green witch that melts in the end. Good over evil :sohappy

Yes, but in the end it was but a dream... Of a great and mighty wizard who put fear in the land, but with courage and hope the yellow path she did follow, bringing along those afraid. An innocent girl with a pure heart who sees the mighty wizard a frightened little man. But in the end, it was all but a dream....

Actually, I never really read them but in the books it wasn't supposed to be a dream.

I've never read the books either. I only know the movie.

Yeah, that's why there is a series of them. Dorothy returns to Oz quite a bit which would really be interesting to see a sequel out of it. I'm not sure that it would be quite as good though. Sequels really aren't always the best.

during the tornado she bumped her head in her bedroom and dreamed all that happened.

I know that's what happens in the movie? But is that what happens in the book too? Of course Dorothy was adamant that she wasn't dreaming but we all know how children are. :lol

I realize that this topic is almost a year old but my mom and I were just watching this movie last night because of the fact that Thanksgiving is next week and the one thing that I couldn't understand is why Dorothy was saying that she thought that she would miss the Scarecrow most of all. I mean that is like a slap in the face to the lion and the tinman. Anyways, I watched the Wiz last night and that's another one of my favorite similar stories to this one. That and Oz The Great and Powerful. :biggrin

I googled this and actually there was a scene cut out before the final script approval where Dorthy and Hunk were to have a romance develop after she returned to Kansas. With Dorothy saying she will miss the scarecrow more than the others is because in what was to be the ending scene was Hunk going off to college and asking Dorothy to write to him.

Just A Few things:

1. You posted this twice.
2. It was still a burn to the lion and the tinman.
3. Call me crazy but wasn't Hunk one of her uncles?

By the way, has anybody ever heard of this story before? (it's not real don't worry it's a crane and the only reason why I'm putting that in here is because I don't remember if it says anything about it)

Yes, I've heard of this rumor, and knew it was eventually debunked. Much like the ghost boy in Three Men and a Baby. People have such imaginations.
