I find it most effective to read and listen, but not at the same time. The keys to learning are repetition and reinforcement, and this addresses the latter.

It depends upon what I want to learn.

If I want to memorize something write offs work great. (Repeatedly writing a phrase or section of text.)

Relationships require charts so I can see how the relationship between two things work.

Videos of things working also help.

Talking about the things freshly learned also greatly enhances my memory and understanding of them.

I read word by word, sentence by sentence, paragraph by paragraph, but never leave a sentence until I fully understand what it says. I have a terrible mind that doesn't retain things very well, but by repetition and writing things down that I learn helps me to retain that of what I learned.

I can sure pray for you thesaintman. God knows your need, and like all of us is working things in our lives we can't imagine that will profit us throughout eternity.

1 Pet 4:12 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:
1 Pet 4:13 But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.

Dear Father, You know the need of this dear man, and I ask that You ease the pain he is experiencing. Thank You Father and I ask this in Jesus' precious name. Amen.

A Child of God like you, even with an attention deficit disorder, still is Heaven bound. Jesus knows all our troubles and loves you just the same.

When I stand before the Lord, should I feel the need or desire to try and defend or justify myself, then I fear I would not be trusting in the counsel provided by my advocate.

    Saintman,
You won't have to defend yourself.
    Jesus will defend you.
What do you think we need him for anyway??
To get us into heaven! Since we can't do it ourselves.
    Be happy Saintman.
    You're a nice guy.

Rom 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus!

Dear brother in Christ, you will never have to defend yourself; that is a part of Jesus’
work as our advocate or supporter. As a believer you will never appear at the Great
White Throne to be judged because your name is written in the Lamb’s book of life.
When we see Jesus, His reward for us is with Him; not condemnation.

Brother thesaintman, can you even think on the following words of Jesus saying to
you something like this in Mat 25:23 His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

Don't ever trust in yourself to defend you. Seek an attorney who will do it. A defence lawyer who will represent you.
I can recommend a great one, he won't charge you, it's free. All he asks is for you to trust him.

    His name is Jesus.

    Saintman,
I got this fromthe truth999 site:

IM ALL THAT IS GOOD IN ETERNAL WORLD.

If you keep God in your life, He sees you as all good.
If you worry about sin, it means you love God, and He will take away all your sins.
It doesn't matter which ones you missed - He will forgive them anyway because He understands that
that we can't know all the sins.

Know what Jesus said to do to avoid sins?
    He said to love God
He said to love yourself, otherwise you can't love anybody else.
He said to love your neighbor, which would be all men.

Saintman, read this by Spurgeon. (Reprinted by permission, e-Sword)

“Knowing, brethren beloved, your election of God.”
    - 1Th_1:4
Many persons want to know their election before they look to Christ, but they cannot learn it thus, it is only to be discovered by “looking unto Jesus.” If you desire to ascertain your own election;-after the following manner, shall you assure your heart before God. Do you feel yourself to be a lost, guilty sinner? go straightway to the cross of Christ, and tell Jesus so, and tell him that you have read in the Bible, “Him that cometh unto me, I will in no wise cast out.” Tell him that he has said, “This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners.” Look to Jesus and believe on him, and you shall make proof of your election directly, for so surely as thou believest, thou art elect. If you will give yourself wholly up to Christ and trust him, then you are one of God’s chosen ones; but if you stop and say, “I want to know first whether I am elect,” you ask you know not what. Go to Jesus, be you never so guilty, just as you are. Leave all curious inquiry about election alone. Go straight to Christ and hide in his wounds, and you shall know your election. The assurance of the Holy Spirit shall be given to you, so that you shall be able to say, “I know whom I have believed, and I am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed to him.” Christ was at the everlasting council: he can tell you whether you were chosen or not; but you cannot find it out in any other way. Go and put your trust in him, and his answer will be-”I have loved thee with an everlasting love, therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.” There will be no doubt about his having chosen you, when you have chosen him.
“Sons we are through God’s election,
    Who in Jesus Christ believe.”

Hi thesaintman, what has sin of our fathers to do with us?

    Exo 20:5 . . . I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;
Exo 20:6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

I do believe studies that show mothers taking drugs during pregnancy can greatly influence the fetus’ health. Why wouldn’t sin instrumental in obtaining a STD also affect the bloodline and effects of it pass through generations.

    Impact of Europe's Royal Inbreeding
A "cousin marriage" is the wedding of 2 people related by blood through an earlier generation. Throughout history, cousin-to-cousin marriages have been an essential means of maintaining stability among royal classes. By marrying their own, most royals believed they were binding their ties to the next generation. Today, cousin marriages are typically shunned by modern society for 2 reasons: the possibility of genetic repercussions and the threat of incest laws. The concern lies in the fact that people related by blood have a higher chance of possessing recessive genes for inherited illnesses such as birth defects and severe deformities. If both parents possess a recessive gene, there is a much greater risk of them passing it on to their children. http://www.medicalbag.com/grey-matt...yals-house-of-kissing-cousins/article/472430/
