I love to buy local honey.
Every place seems to have some too.
For each place the flavor is unique and different... special to that area.
So everywhere we travel we buy a jar.

The Land Between the Lakes clover honey had a unique buttery finish but my wife went with the wild flower instead.
The honey at Gatlinburg is out of this world...very unique. Buy it at the ranger station... you won't be disappointed.

Buying honey from local beekeepers supports small business and cottage industry. Besides...it's awesome to compare flavors of honey.
I have local honey almost every day and love it. My brother lives in Arkansas and the honey isnt that great imho.

Ran into these not even a full two hours in my route.

Thanks Jason
How did you put the warning in without getting stung? I would be too scared to do It. Looks bad!

Carbon dioxide anesthetizes insects without suffocating them. So smoke or CO2 gas does a good job of that. That's how I calmed down insects when I was doing work their immunological responses.

I should have photographed the codes and the machine.simple ,make sure I'm on the right meter, press s 11.enter and its finished.these were buzzing before I was near it.I saw them from the water meter next to it.that was about 10 ft away.if I don't disturb them they won't bother me.

You've got a dangerous job. It must be nice to be outdoors most of the time though.
Mostly our meters are inside the house/building.

Meter rooms ,perhaps, electric but not water though I have read ones onside ,usually on a large pipe

Not everyone has a water meter in UK. When they brought them out people had a choice to have a meter or pay a fixed monthly sum.
Gas and electric meters are inside. When I lived in Australia all the meters were outside.

your building will either have one, or it will be using a pump house for a well.
n.e.r.c code allows for metering inside but it most be clear and accessible as does fire code require that. I hate homes that have meters inside as often the idiots block them and or store Gas near them. they do in some large banks arc! I used to read a bank of 100 and hear the arcing , and before I opened the door and turn the light one I would see the arc flash. the worst was when the bank was not far from a water line from a bilge pump failure and I had to stand on the pallet to read them. I choose to lean in from the stair case and read the bank the next time that happened.

on codes, I inputed a skip bees , a man will be sent out to remove them. and destroy the comb. the city would be liable if they were left and a person who is allegoric is stung. I have read a few with the lid up, hive actively doing its thing and got the read and lowered the lid and it was fine. that was from not knowing they were there until I heard that loud second buzz and well I was going to get stung , might as well get the darn read rather then toss the lid as I did another time. I opened a lid and saw the hive, 5 ft in length and simply yanked the rod out which flipped that lid upside down and ran. I got stung a few times before I made it too the meter room across the way. my boss was like who read the Oakmont route? I did, and he said man you really were skilled in how you flipped that lid as it landed far away enough to get a read. but you had to been stung. the next time I saw that meter box I got the read and it had three intact hives and no bees and these were clear . they were huge!

I've never seen hives that big. Well done!
When I moved into this house 18 months ago, I opened the meter room and there was a very strong smell of gas. A massive hole in the gas pipe a few inches above the meter. I called the emergency gas service and we had to open all the doors and windows. Then they evacuated us (including the cat :lol ) while they put a new pipe in. We could have been blown sky high if I hadn't have smelt it. Some people Can't smell North Sea Gas.

In Australia our heating system was run by oil.

Seeing that you have been stung several times, is it possible that you could become allergic to the stings, or doesn't it work like that.
My son is allergic to bee stings. Each time he gets stung the reaction is worse than the one before it.

I haven't had any large enough reaction to warrant an epi pin. I forgot the rule. I should post the signs of the anaphylaxis shock as its the same as a mild nerve agent reaction
rapid heart beat. tight chest, blurred vision, light headiness, nausea, tight muscles, im sure there is more.these do get worse as the reaction continues.

while there is a large cng line that is in our area and plenty of restaurants served by city gas. the city I work for doesn't sell gas(broker) . there is a grid to the south that does have all three , of gas, water and electric. I don't want to work for them, as they serve bad areas with higher crime. gas is also on the homes. I couldn't imagine reading a water, electric and gas on a simple old 100 year old home. never mind a demand meter(two reads), water(one large and one small use) and gas on a business.bees on anyone of them would be fun.

Would be fun :lol I would call it a nightmare.
Water utilities are separate here. The provider I have does gas and electric, but some people use different ones for them. Emergency gas service is a separate grid.

off topic, if the sale goes there. we will have depending where you live, one for water, electric and gas. the electric unless you live west of 20 mile bend will be fpl. west will be a co op peco, I believe.
