It's not just sisters, it's brothers as well. We need desperately to pray, and do more. Our brothers and sisters are in a desperate state. https://www.christianheadlines.com/...n-by-three-gunmen-looking-for-christians.html

The Egyptian government is largely pro-western and oppose these attacks vigorously, but due to recent upheavals with Mubarak and Morsi, the government seem to be slowly losing control. Let's pray for a return to stability. I can see the same thing happening in Iran with democracy protests, if the government topples the replacement is generally far worse than the original.

Hi Kiwidan. I'm not having a go at you, I like reading your posts, they're very informative about the Qur'an and the Islamic religion.

However my concern is that this forum and the wider church are losing sight of what's important and instead they're getting distracted and drawn into a racist, hateful Islamophobic agenda. That's not what we're about. I've said before that we shouldn't be anti anything, we should instead reach out.
“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? Matthew 5:43‭-‬46 NKJV

You underestimate what we can do. We can reach out to our persecuted brothers and sisters (and not just in Islamic countries) constantly praying for them both for protection and comfort. We can lobby our politicians to take action and make representation on behalf of our brothers and sisters. We can write very respectful letters to their country's embassy pleading their case. We can stand up in church and share what's going on and what's happening to our brothers and sisters asking for prayer. We can donate and give to organisations such as

http://www.csw.org.uk/home.htm
And there are more I'm sure.

Ranting in here isn't very helpful

I was kind of joking or trying to. its a bad habit of mine, especially since my sense of humour has been labelled dark and weird. It generally makes me unpopular on the net.
Are you the one who scolded me for making jokes on a thread about muslims about two weeks ago?
Funny life is.
Aint' it?

Hate to but here's another. Please pray for this poor family who must be feeling numbed and shocked. Pray for their welfare and that in time they'll see God's will has prevailed but meantime they His comfort and care.

Please, no anti Muslim rants. They're not helpful. We're told instead to love our enemies and pray for them.

The hardline Muslims don't want our prayer, what they would much prefer it if a Christian where to don a suicide belt and blow up mosque. That would be food and water to them.

They seek division and separation, they do not want us to reach out to them in love, in case they are tempted to convert and accept Jesus. Please do not give them what they want, rather what they don't.

A bit off topic, but can I please urge everyone in here to please please please pray earnestly and fervently that the Lord God will keep our brothers and sisters safe tomorrow in churches in hostile countries where they're particularly vulnerable to attack? Countries like the Middle East, North Africa, Russian caucuses, Asia. Thanks.
