He now “passionately” believes that we’ll look back on our primitive wiping ways just like we regard “ancient civilizations thinking the Earth was a flat surface.”

I expect the 'paper wipers' society to pop up any time now. Can't wait to see their website.....oh, wait.....yes I can.

I think the French already have something like that for their toilets. And I've been doing that as long as I can remember -- at least at home here (and hope that other people do, too). It's called a hand-held shower head-- sprays a powerful stream good for ear cleaning, too. Minimizes the use of paper.

boudet, an that is some cold water to use.

Um, something that is glaringly absent from this article is how it is used. I assume you are shooting water at your undercarriage while your pants are around your ankles, right? Where does the water, and whatever it is rinsing off, go after it hits your backdoor? And do you just hike up your drawers while your posterior is still all wet?

No thanks, I think I will stick with toilet paper.

Anything is better than a corn cob stripped of corn, huh? And Sears catalogs are hard to keep on hand anymore.

Bidet's have been in use in Europe for decades. But ya still gotta wipe water, regardless.

I don't know about this idea. I can agree that a nice water wash would be cleaner and desirable. But I can't see any savings on paper since you still have to dry off. That will probably use at least close to as much, if not more. I'm certainly not going to reach for some cloth towel that everyone else has also rubbed their backsides dry with before me. And along that line of thinking, what of this handheld sprayer device thingy, whatever it is. Do I even want to touch that after who knows how many other unknown people of unknown care and hygiene have been shoving that thing in their cracks before me? I don't think so.

I sees the value in said argument with the bottom picture.
Never tried it with the first picture. :lol

Maybe we's doing something wrong.

With Europe being so open and uninhibited about human sexuality, maybe when traveling in Europe you should think twice about drinking out of the public drinking fountain.
