It is not possible for a believer to lose their salvation, but it might be possible for a person to CEASE BEING A BELIEVER.
Another way to think of it is, that a family member can be a really bad one,...... but, does your behavior stop you from being a member of your family?
Remember that Cain murdered Abel....yet, this didn't remove Cain from being a son.
Are you familiar with King David's son Absalom? Not only did he avenge by murder, the incestuous rape of his sister Tamar at the hand of her brother Amnon, but he also later tried to take David's throne and would have killed him to get it., and yet, David wept for Absalom, as he had lost his SON.
So, Of course you can't undo your birth, not your earthly or your heavenly, which is the situation that creates you to be both your mother's child and God's child, and this is permanent.
BIRTH, can't be undone by deeds or words, or lack of faith, or self deceived self-righteous theology.
You are BORN, and BORN AGAIN, if you are a believer, ( 2 Births)... and that is the end of it.
And yes, there are many who are saved, but gave up on "Jesus and all that stuff", long ago.
Can be many personal reasons..
Perhaps they had a baby, or a young child, and this child got sick and died, and they blame and hate God now...., or in another case maybe their young child was harmed by a Christian, (or one pretending to be), such as say..... a pedophile priest who molested hundreds of alter boys over a 60 yr career as a child molesting "Father", before he is discovered, stopped, and dealt with.....
Things like this happen, and sometimes a Christian will blame it all on God and absolutely reject Christianity.
So, in this case, as in all cases, they are as saved as they ever were by the Blood Atonement, yet, they have discarded, utterly, their discipleship.
All this means, is that what saved them is still in effect as you can't undo the Blood Atonement ...... > or being born again.
