One of the best readings I've found in a while. It documents the early Christian churches who refused to join the state churches (future Roman Catholics). It shows their existance before the Roman Catholic church was established and remained in existance through terrible persecution and murder to our present.

It reveals the attempts by the Roman Catholics to annihilate them.

Read the Jesuit Oath and see that same plan is in effect for today.

Read the Oath below:
http://www.sounddoctrine.co.uk/Apologet ... toath.html

You will see Satan's control of the Roman Catholic church back then and how it is continuing towards its role in tribulation period as home of the False Prophet.

It was there attempt to annihilate any opposition to their substitute for the Saviour. From the beginning they refused Paul's warinings in Corinth, to the attrocities committed during the dark ages and their secret agenda as evidenced in the Jesuit Oath to murder those who believe in God.

Good post Darkcell. I like the chart. We covered some of the Baptist church history on our 'Foundation of Christianity' study a few years ago. It's so sad, the persecution the early church fathers had to go through. Two books I find interesting along these lines are...'Papal Sin' and 'Foxe's Book of Martyrs', the latter which I am reading now. :)

DkC,

I read it a while back, my introduction to church history. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. It was given to me in a small paperback when I first became saved. I lent it to a catholic friend and never seen it again, come to think of it, I've never seen him again either. Oh well. Thanks for the link.

Vicjr, no problem, I thought you were going to nail me on the church history comment. I didn't think about it until I was on my way home, the introduction to church history I was talking about was post bible of course.

I remember thinking... who is going to get me for that one...hmm..I'll bet it's Vicjr. :biggrin Thankyou for missing that.lol intentional or not.

God bless
