I love trance. I don't have any specific DJs that I enjoy, but I can turn on a trance radio station and just zone out to it. So relaxing and meditative. :)

All the time! Just Christian artists but there are a lot of them out there.

Trance is my favorite genre!!
I'm actually a trance producer myself - check out my soundcloud account ''djjireh'' & Facebook page ''HeavenlyTrance''

Blessings!!!

And so you are! Just listening to soundcloud and although I prefer non-vocal trance, I like what I'm hearing. :thumbsup I see you've made it on both iTunes and Beatport.

Some of my favorite producers/DJ's (not just trance) are:

Prophetica
Sheltershed
Triple-D
Tresice/Gerwin Koudijs
Dallas Holloway
Digital Aura
DJ Phase
DJ Forty5
Jason Bradberry
Major Pax
Shiloh
Prodigal Sons (Antithesis release)
Faith Massive
Coretex
Redsavior

That's most of them and of course at least of couple of them aren't around anymore, like some of my other stuff.

Welcome to the forums, btw. :)

Can't really say I know what "trance" is, but I do know I have never like techno. Even when I was in my 20's I just thought it was noise. I remember going to a techo party at the college I was attending and saw only about a dozen people showed up, of which only a handful actually made it to the dance floor.

Definition of trance..

noun, verb, tranced, tranc·ing.
noun
1.
a half-conscious state, seemingly between sleeping and waking, in which ability to function voluntarily may be suspended.
2.
a dazed or bewildered condition.
3.
a state of complete mental absorption or deep musing.
4.
an unconscious, cataleptic, or hypnotic condition.
5.
Spiritualism. a temporary state in which a medium, with suspension of personal consciousness, is controlled by an intelligence from without and used as a means of communication, as from the dead.

Now compare that to this..

I Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

I went through the 60's thing our entire generation was in a trance like state.. This is fitting that this final generation will be put under a trance like state, this is but a small part of it. The last thing Satan wants is for a Christian to be on their toes, the unbelievers he could care less about their already riding on the highway to hell.

Interesting term....?

It means that someone revived a thread that has been inactiv for a very long time.
Like some evil power hungry mage would call the dead back to life under his/her command to have an army of undead minions ;) (it's a typical fantasy fiction trope).

Claudya:

Oops, yes; I see what you mean; I didn't look at the date; 2010, ....... :)

Only music I really like of this genre at this time: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ZBtTcOjUyY (The picture is there because it's a remix of a song from Clannad. The original version of the song is very pretty, and quite sad if you understand the lyrics. The lyrics are in Japanese, so you'd need to find an English translation unless you speak Japanese.)
I tend to like a little of everything.

questdriven:

Kind of soothing, background music.

(Whereas Christian hard rock, with Biblical lyrics, is more of an attention compelling, rigorous assertion. If this makes sense?)

Blessings.

Bumping this ancient thread to add a couple of newer artists:
