Since I am currently watching a movie about a boy's Christmas wish that winds up going incredibly wrong, do you think that science will ever invent a surgery to turn humans into animals for real? Not like I would personally want to be one for real, I enjoy being human. I was just wondering.

i think there's a sci-fi subgenre..."trans-humanism..." if I recall correctly, some philosophy people and bio-ethicists have even chimed in on it, or...the possibility of it...

but they're about humanity+(whatever), not humanity-(whatever), so I think its a different ball game. taking people down several levels...well, back when lobotomies were en vogue, sometimes they'd do 2, 3 on the same person. i hope it wasn't common, but it did happen. anyway...i did a paper on psych stuff, and some of the case studies i found were just...horrible. one 17 year old young lady was given -3- (I'm thinking at a certain point they were removing more than frontal lobe tissue), and the shrink's notes described her as barely above "a vegetable" with a minimal level of consciousness. -shudder-

so, I guess it doesn't take much to reduce human. an icepick, apparently. Now, in Scripture, one sees the King Nebu(cannot spell the rest), whom God struck with madness. At one point, he was basically an animal, and then...I think after 7 years...The Lord restored his senses unto him, his pride was (obviously...) far less of an issue, and he praised the one, true living God...however gentiles did back in those days.

No. Science will not. Surgery does nothing to change a person from one thing to another. Surgery can only do things that make someone LOOK LIKE something they are not.
At the cell level, they are always what they were when they were conceived.

I'd bet that scientists have already been funded to create the super-soldiers and super-intellect overlords of the science fiction movies and stories.

With this kind of "progress"; artificial intelligence, and robotics, we're going to get so advanced that the human race will not be necessary.

As implied in a post above, we will never dishonor and successfully destroy the Image of YHWH and subvert His Holy Image to such a point. This string and this post might get me banned but it matters not that elements here will be angered by clear Godly Principals, YHWH knows my heart and I seek only His.

Jim Parker is trying to be, as required by the new management, as slick as silk, not just blurt the truth out. I have never been good at intentionally lies and anything less than the bare truth is a Lie. This entire string needs to prayerfully be abandoned and prayerfully seek after YHWH's Wisdom and leading in every moment of the rest of you service on this planet. He is going ro send people off to Eternal Punishment in the Lake of Fire.

I hope it hasn't gotten to that. The current trend of military advancement is attempting to create machines controllable by humans to serve as soldiers, as far as I know. And those attempts are not very successful. So far, human soldiers with machines like tanks, planes and ships are still the bulk of military effectiveness.

Our dna our organs ,are too complex to simply create hybrids like that.what I can eat,can kill my dog ie onions,ie chocolate.

Bill suggested that nothing that changes the image will be permitted. Could be.

To date they have just been doing things like injecting hormones. Very similar to someone drinking coffee so that caffeine perks them up. The image doesn't change, they just become more alert and stronger. Next on their agenda is injecting DNA therapy into cells so that cells make the hormones themselves. They would still have the same image, just be stronger and faster. Soldiers would object to being transformed into the image of a monster. Can't get many dates that way.

This is in addition to nutrition and exercise. Think anabolic steroids that some weight lifters use.

That's not photoshopped. The rabbit glows in the dark. It has a gene from a luminescent jellyfish that was inserted before it was born. This technology can be used to eventually have animals produce needed medications for humans that are now extremely expensive.

I agree, in the sense of hoping it's true. Genetic manipulation would be more along the lines of Hitler's "master race" idea; bigger, stronger, faster, more aggressive, etc.
