Trinity Debate Put To Rest!

Every once in awhile when I read the scripture, something jumps up at me that I had not caught on to before, even though I may have read it a bunch of times before!

So there are trinity threads every once in awhile, where people debate whether or not they believe that God is a Triune being...a trinity. I have even participated in them threads.

But finally...boom, there it is. Indisputable if you ask me. In Matthew 3:13-17 we see where Jesus was baptized, right. Here it is:

13 Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him.

14 But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me?

15 And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him.

16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:

17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.../

So there's your proof of the trinity. Jesus was there, the Holy Spirit descending like a dove, and the Father speaking from the Heavens...All three of them there at the same time and identified. I was like, doh!

Jesus said to his diciples to baptise in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Why 3 sayings. Otherwise he would have just said God, or, my Father.

Simple terms makes what has already been written less complicated to understand. It's when we read and reread and even reread again we will always find the hidden mysteries as the Holy Spirit reveals them to us.

God says "Let us make man in our image", that's more than one person God is associating with himself. Otherwise God would say let me make man in my image if no one else is associated with him.

I notice that more and more. I think that one could be a bible scholar and study it all their life, and continue to learn and see those things. (as the Holy Spirit points them out to us!) . I have had so many moments of, Duh, so that's what that means! When reading the word. And it continues to read simpler and simpler, (like scripture says! The simplicity of the Gospel)

Somehow, I think that we will continue to read and study His word even after we are in heaven.
After all, He said His Word will never pass away.
