He tells us in Matthew 25, exactly what we must do to spend eternity with Him. And you're right; it's very simple. Here's what Jesus says:

Do that, and you won't have to worry about theology. Theology won't save you. Following Jesus will.

Not at all. Some modern revisions men did to scripture don't fit with science, but that's not God's fault.

Nope. Accepting that science and God's word are compatible is an acknowledgement that God is infallible. Edit: To say a particular idea denies the Word of God is the same as saying people who hold to that view deny the word of God. That violates TOS 2.4. We all need to be careful in making a claim about denying the Word of God. It's a serious charge and it violates the TOS 2.4 on this forum.

That's the largest part of it. But the second thing is very much like it:
"Though shalt love thy neighbor as thyself."

Here's a way to get there:

It's probably symptomatic if one ignores what Christ says, and focuses on what He might have looked like. It is true that Christ probably wasn't the modern model of "church people." No doubt if He showed up in person today, He'd be unwelcome at a lot of churches.

Possible but not probable as that image is widely circulated as a image of Christ.

Jesus is the image of the invisable God. People should get these false images of Christ out of there head. Its a deception, probably the biggest deception, so when people read the scriptures of Christ or think of Christ they have a false image of Christ in there mind.

    True.

However, by having some image to represent Jesus, it helps to personalize Him in the minds of many people. Instead of being some abstract essence, a form of representation of Him makes Him more 'real', so to speak.

You should see some of the paintings of Jesus from the Middle Ages time period .... or during the 1500's, in clothing similar to these worn by Robert Dudley, Earl of Leicester:

The problem is a image sticks and that image is what people think is Jesus. So technically its a false image of Christ. A image should not be used and it also dont matter what he looked like.

I really do know what you're saying, my friend.

We don't know how He really looked. Was he blonde & blue eyes? Blonde and brown eyed? Brown haired & brown eyed?

We do know He wasn't an albino; otherwise, that rarity would have been commented on somewhere in historical texts.
