Jesus Himself says He is not God. When He said the only true God is the Father.

So you deny that Jesus is God.
Then you deny the most basic tenet of the Christian faith.
If Christ is not God then no one can be saved.

Reading verses provides "head knowledge." Because a person has read how to do something does not necessarily mean he could actually do the thing if necessary let alone make it his normal manner of living.
