Unearth Fact Discovered About the Garden of Eden

Recently, while watching a science program about archaeological finds unearthed during construction in London, I learned that of all the animals only the bones of sheep have the same bone density as human bones.

It must be remembered that the only death suffered by anyone in the Garden of Eden after the sin of Adam and Eve was an animal when God used a skin of an animal (hint: sheep) to clothe both Adam and Eve to cover their nakedness.

Jesus Christ is rightly called the Lamb of God because the lamb and man have the same bone density. Jesus Christ is justly our substitute for original sin in the same way that God sacrificed an animal to cover the sinfulness of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden.

Jesus Christ is truly the 'Lamb of God' and as he hung on the cross he willingly became our substitute for all of our sins allowing us to enter the gates of heaven. Jesus Christ is our covering for our nakedness due to sin. Believe in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ to live forever with God the Father, God the Son Jesus Christ, and God the Holy Spirit in heaven for eternity!

God Bless

I'm sorry but I'm confused. Are they actually saying they discovered the Garden of Eden?

I was thinking about this the other day as it never says what animal was used, but a lamb came to mind as this was the first blood sacrifice to cover Adam and Eve's sin and Jesus being known also as the Lamb of God was our final blood sacrifice for sin. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end.

However, I wonder if anybody truly knows where it was originally located on the map. Too bad we will never get to see it, but I imagine it was literally like Heaven on earth.

The location where the garden of Eden was is described in Genesis 2:10-14. Eden is located somewhere between Turkey, Iraq and Syria where the four heads of the rivers come from. Eastern gate of the Garden of Eden that the two Cherubim guard faces what would have been where the tower of Babel was built and Babylonian Empire becoming the Roman Empire that has always opposed Gods people.

The four rivers of Genesis 2:10-14
Pison in the land of Havilah
Gihon in the land of Ethiopia
Hiddekel east of Assyris
Euphrates in Turkey through Iraq (Iraq used to be the Babylonian Empire)

I totally disagree simply because God says this

Gen 2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

We simply do not grasp the death that is/was important... the death in the Garden is the one the Cross of Christ saves us from... We die a body death at the end of our lives we are not saved from that death..

Since Adam and Eve did not physically die, but for a time lost Spiritual fellowship with God as they tried to hide from Him the animal (probably being an unblemished Lamb) would be the first in all of God's creation within the garden of Eden to physically die. This would be the first blood sacrifice for the atonement of sin as the Lamb was slained and the skin covered (clothed) the nakedness of Adam and Eve. Jesus would be the final blood sacrifice for the atonement of all our sin as we were as Adam and Eve who tried to hide from God as we were unclothed in our unrighteousness before Him.

They lost their spiritual lives until the shedding of the blood... I do believe we are in agreement just said slightly different :)

OK, that I can agree with as there is a big difference between Spiritual death and physical death even though both are a form of death. :)

to my thinking the Spiritual death is the biggy

I agree with that for if Adam and Eve did not Spiritually die that day and obeyed Gods command we might all still be in that beautiful garden that is now hidden away until the New Jerusalem is ushered down.

Wait a second, are you saying that once we all go to Heaven, (or as you put it the New Jerusalem same difference I think) the Garden of Eden will be reopened? I thought that God placing that angel guard in front of the gates or whatever he was I can't really remember, meant that nobody could enter again.

to him that over cometh shall I give him the right to enter into the garden of eden and be with me.

why how Jewish is that idea? oh wait the sages taught that in the days of Christ and it was the term called paradise as well. its still taught in jewry

Rev 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. 2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

This describes that the New Jerusalem will be ushered down from heaven where we will spend eternity with the Father. Starting at Rev 21:9 through Rev 22:1-5 describes that of the New Jerusalem that I believe is likened unto the garden of Eden when God created it.

On the subject of the Garden of Eden, I wonder if anyone else has come across The Bronze Tree of Sanxingdui?

...The archaeologists also recovered pieces of a tall bronze tree, which they cleaned and reassembled. As with most archaeological discoveries, there is little debate about what has been found. However, there is great debate about the meanings that are attached to the items recovered and their implications. In particular, “The meaning of the tree has been the subject of disagreement”.1

Indeed, the professional consensus over the years at the Sanxingdui excavations is one of mystery about the origin (and fate) of its inhabitants. For example they ask,

“How did the miraculous bronze smelting technique and the culture symbolized by the Sanxingdui bronze ware come into being?”
“The puzzle of Sanxingdui is a puzzle of the ages.”2

Perhaps the Bible can help.
