Original poster Update - Thanks again to all who prayed for me! I started my new job last Tuesday! I had suffered another rejection and then within two weeks had an offer from another company I interviewed with.
I have to admit I'm still struggling a little. I was out of work for 9 months and jumping back into a job has been jarring - I have that fish-out-of-water feeling like they expect more out of me than I'm ready to take on. Also, there have been a few red flags I've noticed about this company, where they say they want to ease me into the role but are doing the opposite. I'm also not entirely sure I wanted this kind of role but I needed a job.
Isn't it funny how we can still be unhappy when we get the thing we were praying so hard for?
Has anyone else experienced this?

I'm trying to keep this all in perspective because the company isn't that bad, the job isn't that bad and I haven't been the new girl in 11 years now so I need to just take it one day at a time (that's my mom's motto - and speaking of, she had a health crisis recently that has reminded me I could lose either of my parents sooner than I think)

Thanks again for the prayers!

Well I'm really glad that you found a job. You and your family will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers. :pray

Congratulations on your new job
Sometimes it is easier to find a new job when you already have one. So if you are unhappy there after a while, you never know what will turn up.
Prayers with you and your parents.

Thank you both and yes, Tessa, that's a great point. I have to give it a fair shot and I am relieved that I can now start earning a paycheck again and work on CC debt that I was starting to build up. God's timing was perfect with this job! I think that's why I'm feeling a little guilty questioning and still not being entirely satisfied.

Hi Jerry - Oh boy, that sounds rough, but I'm glad you've been able to pick up some odd jobs. I did that too and found it helped me not fixate on the lack of full-time employment. Praying for you and your family now! I hope the job that pays more works out!

Hi Jerry - Don't let your age get in your head. Starting over at any time is hard. Abraham and Sarah were pretty old when they had their first child. And if memory serves Noah was no spring chicken and neither was Daniel when he was tossed into the Lion's den. They all had one big thing in common. :)
Praying for you brother!

That's not what I meant and you know it! :)
If I had 10,000 friends with 10,000 lawns I totally would. If I can survive 9 months unemployed by the grace of God, you can find a new one too.
I think all health insurance these days is high deductible. I think we all need to grab our pitchforks and storm the insurance companies that are robbing us blind. :)

do something its out of control

I work in a high turnover occupation. (Construction)
I build a couch funds as soon as I get employed...and continue to build it as I stay employed.
After a 2 1/2 year stint...I was ready for some r&r. So I took 4 weeks. Now going back is really tough. But I'm getting used to it once again. The groove of a new place takes a bit of time to get used to.
Give it 6 months... you will be fine.
