#4 The Salvation test; How you are saved!

"Believe in Jesus Christ, prey (That's prAy) upon His name. Recognizing that He is your Lord and Savior. Admit your sins and ask forgiveness of them. Sincerely ask to receive Jesus Christ into your heart. If you are truly sincere and believe all of this, then you have proven yourself worthy to Jesus Christ."

NO ONE is "worthy" to Christ. Our salvation has nothing to do with our being "worthy."
We are saved because God is merciful and graciously saves those who will believe in His son and submit to Jesus' lordship. Submitting to Jesus' lordship is putting your faith into action. As James, the brother of the Lord so clearly stated; "Faith without works is dead." and will not save anyone.

"Next, you will want to get baptized, complete water submersion. This proves your faith in Jesus Christ to your fellow man. By being baptized in public, you are proving to Jesus Christ that you are not afraid to profess your faith in Him in public."

That "doctrine" is NOWHERE to be found in the Bible. Baptism does not have the purpose of "proving" anything to anyone.

FIrstly, it is done in submission to Jesus command at Mat 28:19.

Secondly, Paul tells us exactly what baptism is about and it has nothing to do with proving anything.
Rom 6:3-11
Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. For he that is dead is freed from sin.
Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him: Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God. Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

So the Bible says that, in Baptism, we are united with Christ in His death and in His resurrection to new life.
In Baptism we are crucified with Christ so that the body of sin is destroyed so we will no longer serve sin.
In Baptism, we die to sin and, rising from baptism, we live to the Lord.

Scripture does NOT say ANYTHING about proving anything to anyone. That is NOT Biblical teaching. Proving your faith in public is an relatively recently invented tradition of men that has absolutely nothing in common with the teaching of scripture.

Also, Jesus commanded that all His disciples (all believers) be Baptized in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. (Mat 28:19) So we are baptized in obedience to our Lord's command.

"If you truly believe, then you will also receive the Holy Spirit. Follow God’s commandments by reading and studying his word on a regular basis. Work diligently to remove sin from your life. By following these steps sincerely. You will not only receive the greatest gift of all, everlasting life. You will also receive other gifts and small miracles that will surprise and amaze you. I cannot tell you what these things will be. However, if your sincerity is genuine Jesus will accept you. This covenant is totally between you and Jesus Christ. Only Jesus Christ can see into your heart and know your true sincerity and your true motivation."

Jesus also said:
Jhn 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
and
Jhn 14:21He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

And what were Jesus' commandments?
Love one another; love your neighbor; love your enemies; and "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." (Mat 5:16)

You don't "Follow God’s commandments" by reading God's words; you "Follow God’s commandments" by DOING God's word. That's what we were created to do' it is God's will for us according to Paul.

Eph 2:10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
So, if you have faith, walk in the good works in which God foreordained you to walk.

One further (rather minor) point.
Your source stated: "The King James Bible has always come out on top being the true word of God and the best English translation of God’s word in existence. The new King James is second best for those of you who have a hard time reading and understanding the old English writing of the King james."
The KJV is not written in "Old English." It is written in "Late Middle English." If it were in Old English, only a tiny few scholars could read it.

Also that the KJV is the "best translation in existence" is an unsupportable opinion and it seems a bit unreasonable to expect someone to learn God's word by reading it in a language that he does not speak.

Here's the "Lord's Prayer" in Old English:
Fæder ure þu þe eart on heofonum, si þin nama gehalgod. to becume þin rice, gewurþe ðin willa, on eorðan swa swa on heofonum. urne gedæghwamlican hlaf syle us todæg, and forgyf us ure gyltas,
swa swa we forgyfað urum gyltendum. and ne gelæd þu us on costnunge
ac alys us of yfele soþlice.

I don't say it like that. (I can't.)

just FYI
