I pray for his likely need of salvation.
I pray that in his remaining, hopefully short, time in office that his actions and words not permanently damage the country.
I pray for the church more than anything for so many of us have become unequally yoked with an unbeliever.
I pray that believers who join in the chant "America first" are caused to remember we are being built into a Holy nation. That nation is not the USA. It is a universal church.
I pray that Christians would come to realize that "America first" is just a big collective "ME first", which is as unchristlike as can be.

Because this nation stands for freedom, we all have that God given right, unlike many countries around the world.

I think as countries go it's pretty good.
The freedoms we have as citizens are not the same as what we have through Christ which are better, and eternal, and can not be taken away by anyone.
If God blesses Trump with some humility, wisdom and more importantly reconciliation to Himself through Christ that would give me joy.

I would never fight Joshua or the Lord.
I would never equate a liar, or mean person, or dishonest person who has no interest of repentance of those things with a servant of God.

The Angel was not fighting for Joshua.... in other words, Joshua was not the Angel's commander. It was not Joshua or his men which brought the walls of Jericho down. This relates to Exodus 33:15

Is he supposed to be Joshua or the Lord in your analogy? If he is your Joshua who is the Moses who by God's leading named him to take his place? Didn't Joshua really follow God?
I feel like a Christian who has dropped into an alternative universe!
I have been a Christian since 1978 and never seen such misguided nonsense until the last two years. If I didn't know I am safely in His hands I would be really worried!

I think the beauty in the story of Joshua reflects back to the promise to Abraham and tasked to Moses. The Golden Calf incident at Sinia infuriated the Lord so much that the Lord was going to remove His presence from them which meant certain death when they crossed the Jordan. We have to remember that the Lords presence was visibly seen in the pillar which led and protected Israel.
Joshua was getting ready for battle and cross the Jordan..He needs the presence of the Lord which was promised by God to Moses. When he sees the angel and asks a good question. Who's side are you on? The Angel replies, "Neither" and goes on to say his allegiance is to the Lord for he is the commander of the Lords army and like Moses took his shoes off to stand on Holy Ground, so did Joshua. There are nuances here that are noteworthy.
The Angel of the Lord does not submit himself to Joshua but instead submits himself to a Holy cause and Joshua is reminded of this as he submits to the authority of the Angel.
Often we like to say Gods on my side and not your side and I have heard this from deno.inations and political fronts. In reality, God doesnt take sides. God is Holy, and we must submit to being holy and what is holy.

I know the angel of the Lord must do as directed so he chooses no side. He doesn't have a choice.
If he is a theophany than even Christ always seeks to do His Father's will.
God the Father doesn't exactly choose sides as we would understand it in human terms. His will is the only side as far as He is concerned.

Dear Father in Heaven - in Jesus' name i pray for POTUS and his family and supporters to be kept safe and to do everything as God wants it done - as per 1 Timothy 2:1-4
and for america, israel, france, germany, and all countries to be healed and blessed as they chose God's side in all things
praying that all people in positions of power and influence serving themselves rather than their country be removed and their positions to go to people who love God and love people - and will not compromise on doing what God wants - in Jesus' name - amen
