My point is that since we don't have the impact to inspire those around us in this country to repent and change and choose to make a moral choice about abortion and other issues we want the Supreme Court to effect an end.

My point is that the way change occurs in the leadership of our nation is for godly leaders to be appointed to office.

Look at the nation of Israel as an example.

When a godly king was over the nation vs when an ungodly king ruled.

Bull of the Woods,
Here is something to consider. If we (Christians) are a holy nation of Priests that surpass ethniticity, social status, boarders and color of skin, then we are subject to Gods will and Gods laws. We cannot, nor is it our place to impose our covenant upon those who are not within Gods covenant. Best we can do is invite them into the Kingdom.

In effect, Roe vs Wade as well as other laws are not and should not be the laws that regulate our behavior. If getting a heavy ticket for speeding in a construction zone is the primary reason one adheres to the speed limit, it shows ones lack of concern for others. Same goes for Roe vs. Wade. Laws cannot change a heart.

The laws we follow are written on our hearts, and we do not have hearts of stone. This means we assist single mothers and financially support their children if they are unable to do so. Yes, there will be those that take advantage of our generosity, but the vast majority wont.

We teach the sanctity of life and view a single mother with child out of wedlock as brave and courageous for taking on the stigma and task of keeping her child. We surround her, and support her instead of condemning her and excommunication her. Our churches should be a refuge and a support system for them, both spiritually and financially but most of all, communally.

Laws are a reflection of the heart of those who make them.

In this nation the representatives are a reflection of the people who elect them.

We should rejoice as Christian’s that great change for the better has taken place in our nation with the election of President Trump.

Just as when Jehu threw down Jezebel and cleansed the nation of those associated with her.

Jehu probably wasn’t the greatest of king’s but was the man who got the job done concerning Jezebel and the corruption in that nation.

Well we will have to see. Israel's kings, as kings tended until modern times, were in effect dictators. If we have a godly president any year soon he should know he is leading a country of a mixed bag of faith and, for some, no faith. He can't just order things to be the way he likes them.
A representative government of the United States will have Muslims, hindus, atheists, mormons, Witnesses and various forms of the Christian faith.

What has been the great change?

Correct me if I'm wrong but the body of Christ is individuals from all around the world that make the Kingdom of God. It's not a specific nation full of righteous and unrighteous people. If every person in the USA was righteous and the law was righteous then then could say it is a Christian nation.

Would rather have a godly leader over your nation that represented what was best for your nation, or would you rather have a person who was a puppet of world bankers who only want a global community that enriched themselves while everyone else stands in a bread line.

I would like an honest person in there. One whose mind isn't so controlled by money and potential deals that he isn't chicken of calling out a despot or a killer or confronting a leader of an unfriendly nation that acted to screw around with our national election.

What has been the great change?

Hillary Clinton is not President.

He, not Hillary Clinton, was inaugurated as president. Trump delivered the coup de grace that ended the corrupt, dishonest Clinton political machine.

Probably the greatest change is we returning to a sovereign nation, that is governed by a president who wants what’s best for this nation.

A Christian nation.

North Korean conflict is resolved

Obama Care has been defunded.

Economic Growth

Military is being strengthened

The billions that were going to Iran has been cut off

Americans have hope again

He enforced America’s red line against Syria’s use of chemical weapons. When the regime of Bashar Assad used a toxic nerve agent on innocent men, women and children, Trump didn't wring his hands. He acted quickly and decisively, restoring America’s credibility on the world stage that Obama had squandered.

He has taken a surprisingly tough line with Russia. Trump approved a $47 million arms package for Ukraine, sent troops to Poland’s border with Russia and imposed new sanctions on Moscow for violating the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty.

He recognized Jerusalem as Israel’s capital. Four American presidents promised to do it, but only one actually did. This is why the American people elected Trump. He does what he promises to do, for better or for worse — in this case, definitely for the better. Even Jeb Bush tweeted his approval.

He withdrew from the Paris climate agreement. After George W. Bush pulled out of the disastrous Kyoto treaty, U.S. emissions went down faster than those in much of Europe. The same will be true for Trump's departure from the Paris accord. Combined with his approval of the Keystone XL pipeline, and opening of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge to exploration, Trump is helping usher in a new age of American energy development.

He got NATO allies to kick in $12 billion more toward our collective security. Decades of pleading by the Bush and Obama administrations failed to get NATO allies to meet their financial commitments to the alliance, but Trump’s tough talk and reluctance to affirm America's Article V commitment did the trick. NATO is stronger as a result.

He has virtually eliminated Islamic State's physical caliphate. Trump removed the constraints Obama placed on our military and let it drive the terrorists from their strongholds.

He reversed Obama's disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan. In a rare admission, Trump declared: “My original instinct was to pull out. ... But all my life, I've heard that decisions are much different when you sit behind the desk in the Oval Office. ... A hasty withdrawal would create a vacuum for terrorists.”

He enacted historic tax and regulatory reform that has unleashed economic growth. Trump signed the first comprehensive tax reform in three decades and removed the wet blanket of Obama-era regulations smothering our economy. We are now heading into our third consecutive quarter of above 3 percent growth.

He is installing conservative judges who will preside for decades. With his appointment of Neil M. Gorsuch, Trump secured a conservative majority on the U.S. Supreme Court, and he is moving at record pace to fill the federal appeals courts with young conservative judges.

Brett Kavanaugh as Supreme Court Justice.

And on and on and on...,

There is no one better suited for President for such a time as this.

This is why God chose to put him in office.

Only if Trump declares a coup with him as President for Life with greatly expanded powers.

As everyone can tell, I have closed down this thread.

I want everyone who participated in this thread to know you all handled yourself very well and I appreciated the level heads that dominated the conversation.

So why am I locking the thread you ask. Well, here is the short of it.

10 months ago I did an assesment on the forum and the numbers were staggering. The largest two forums were politics and apologetics. Then of course we had hot topics and behind that bible study.

All of these forums made up about 80% of the total traffic on this site and everyone of them created division. That division bled into almost every forum on this board.

The site was purposfully pruned both in size and membership. It was hard work. What I realized back then was this. Some people crave division and some people need tension to articulate their view. If they cant recieve and create tension through delineating their differences, they dont really have anything constructive to offer.

I compressed the forums and then I started to work with those who would work with me. Everyone left knows how to get along, and this thread testifies to how we've grown as a community.

Here is my fear... it will attract more political posts and as elections draw near, the rhetoric will increase as will new or old members who will come back and undo the hard work the staff and I have been able to accomplish these last few months. It also threatens the vision I have for our community.

For now, I ask for everyone's respect that we resist the urge to make political posts or threads. I would rather us focus on Gods Word and build one another up. Really, we need more teachers who can teach the truths of the Bible without a doctirnal bias toward their pet doctrine. We need more theologians that know how to share the depth and riches of Gods narrative. The likely hood of either of them happening decreases when we constantly find ourselves in tension with each other.

Thanks for reading and if you want to discuss further, please dont hesitate to send me a PM.

Yours in Christ,
Jeff
