And when I say that I am being sarcastic. As I was eating breakfast this morning I discovered that the cat was really interested in a spot by our oven. A few seconds later I found out why. It turns out that a mole was underneath it! :eek2 So of course here's me expecting her to do her job as a cat and go chase it.

She did decide to chase the mole into the bedroom but even if she caught it she is missing like half her teeth and she wouldn't be able to do all too much with it. She is definitely a good mouser though. She demonstrates that really rather well the way she plays with her toy mice, so she would probably just play with it instead of killing it.

Anyways I swear we have like two or three of these little guys running around right now and so we laid out some traps because although they're sort of cute (in an ugly way) I'm not sure whether or not they can climb and I really don't want them climbing onto our shelves and cupboards and getting into our food. Or in my bed or the bathtub either. And it's funny but up until today, I wasn't aware that they made noises, but I heard them making high-pitched screeching noises.

I sort of hate ruining the kitty's fun, but this is our house, we were here first and I really don't want to be sharing it with them. Especially if they start crawling all over my feet and biting me. Besides that, Jessie could get worms if she caught one so we really don't want her to get sick either.

It's a natural instinct that cats are hunters and mice are their favorite prey. Our cat has come to age now where she has started hunting for mice and caught her first one a few weeks ago. She brought it up on the porch and played it to death and hubby took some paper towel and picked it up and threw it in the field. Today I went outside to feed her and she had caught a bird and ate it. I don't mind that she has already caught her first mouse and mole, but I hate the fact she is after birds and probably the baby bunnies in the spring.

My philosophy is if it is a critter outside (bugs, spiders Etc.Etc.) I do not kill them, but if they invade inside of the house they are history :yes

Yep! That's my philosophy as well. :thumbsup
