Warning: This thread has a specific focus and it is not Donald Trump. The killing of the 32 year old woman by the white supremacist in Charlottesville is all over the news here in Australia. It seems conflict between white supremacists and anti-racist protesters might continue. What I would like to hear from my American brothers and sisters in Christ is what are the churches saying about the murder and violence?

I know some churches in the USA put up signs for people to read as they drive past. What are they saying? Other places, ministers get to have a say in the media. Then there are the sermons given by preachers. All that sort of stuff does not reach where I am but I am keen to find out from you what the feelings are and what action the church is taking. Are Godly people standing up and protesting against the sin of racism? Are believers rallying in support?

I am really interested to hear what Christian leaders are saying. Is Charlottesville part of the Bible Belt or anything? I have looked on a map to see where it is.

Hi Brother Watching Thomas, I haven't purposely been ignoring this thread, but I don't attend a church assembly, and really don't know why it would be the subject of a sermon. Looking at Jesus' ministry, I fail to see Him having entered the fray of politics, and even paid taxes as it were to a government far worse than what most of us live under.

If as a people in Christ we observe Satan at work in the world, Who is it that put those over us into power whether we like them or not for our good? Rom 13:1-2. In your own opinion, what or how should we approach injustice in our lands? Many times I think of Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the time of the dispersion of Israel, and then read in Heb 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. Did Jesus know that His own would not obey the law of the land and end up in the den of lions, and the fiery furnace? Well, God did allow Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego to go to the fiery for not bowing to the image of Nebuchadnezzar, but Jesus was in the furnace with them according to Dan 3:25. Thanks.

Just goes to show you some people can't/don't want to grow up, the idiocy of the left... (Guess that's why they love abortion so much, no family to tie you down so they are free to go be idiots as they please)...

So when do they plan on tearing down the pyramids since they were built with slaves??? /sarc

About the only place I could see this being mentioned would be in a church close to ground zero where it all went down, someone in the congregation had been involved. Other than that I'm like you don't really see a need for it to be mentioned in a service, there is no room/need for politics to be in a religious service...

The murder and overall hate brewing is a good reason to introduce a topic on loving your fellow man

Something that is fast departing this country because of the silliness of politics. Hate is the in thing even when you don't even know the reason "why you are supposed to hate" someone... :angry3:screwloose2

you know, this is a good question. I don't go to church, but I haven't seen anything posted. See, I live in The Bible Belt. The conservative churches, in particular, will put things on their signs at times...like when gay marriage became law of the land, and the SBC churches all over had "Pray for our nation" out on the signs.

I haven't seen a reaction. The SBC churches just have signs encouraging people to visit.

Christians will not support white supremacy . The same as Christians do not support WBC . ... Some one is working to make news out of hate ... Not believing what the left offers as truth .. we only "know " what they tell us . Yet we know the left as liars

Actually the KKK is a Christian group. Just like ISIS is a Muslim group.
