what 'gets your goat' 'drives you up the wall' and 'gets you in a flap'?

mine are many but heres a few...

-people who park in 'parents with prams' spots and have no pram (and usually no kids either!!!)

-people who park in disabled spaces and aren't disabled.

-people who smoke around shopping center entrances filling mine and my baby's lungs with toxic smoke... let them risk their own health that's fine, but don't be messing with mine and my baby's!! i even had people smoking over me while i was heavily pregnant!! yuck.

-people who use big words to sound impressive but don't even use the words correctly or in any kind sensible manner.

-people who don't think Christians should have an opinion or a right to share it, but then think it's fine for anyone else to have any other kind of opinion.

i have more but really in general it's just people who put themselves waaaaaaaaaaay ahead of everybody else and couldn't care less how their actions / words etc effect everyone around them, as long as it suits them its fine. i respect people who respect others, anyone who doesn't just irritates me no end :shrug

People who drive slow in the fast lane
People who stand in line at Starbuck's for 15 minutes, get up to the counter and then decide on what they want
People who assume all Christians are hypocrites and other nasty descriptive words.

Ok....that's all I can think of for right now.

Woman who breast feed in public.
People who can work 100% yet stay at home and draw welfare.
Canada's failed gun registry system.
Flat beer.
Idiots with authority.
Willingly ignorant persons.
Militant evolutionists.
Zildjian brand cymbals.
Bad tom tom angles.
People who hunt when they have no need to.
i could go on for days but I'll stop, lol

Not clearing the time on a microwave when finished or worse, leaving it at one second. One second!?!? "you couldn't wait one more stinkin' second?" LOL :lol

The use of the word "of" instead of "have". i.e. "I should of gone earlier." :angry2

Excessive use of the cell phone in public. That bothers me; breast feeding doesn't. :sorry

Unnecessary and/or excessive beeping of car horns. "I may be slow, but I'm ahead of you." :toofunny

Poor service, especially at the cashier station. My total is $5.25. I start to hand the cashier a $20 bill and dig for the quarter, but they proceed to total it out anyway. I hand them the quarter and I get this... :confused Can't anyone do simple math anymore? :mad

Oh, no one counts back your change anymore! At least hand me back my change by saying, "6, 7-8-9-10 and 10 is 20. Geesh, it isn't that hard. :confused

:biggrin

So, perhaps the pet peeve we can gleen from this would be...

Users who derailed threads from their originalt topics and those who help them...:)

Pet peeves?

Newscasters constantly using the phrases...
* "as well" - (never ending) What happened to "also" and "too"?
* "on the ground" - (came from a military term, "Boots on the ground") Frankly I liked "at the scene" or "on location" better.
* And everything is "Breaking News"

And the all-around trend setter (seems everyone's doing it)
"At this point in time"
Why not just say "now"?
