I just read Wikipedia's version and feel just as confused.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Natural_law
Do you feel you have a good grasp of what "natural law" is?
Is it an important concept to understand for Christians?
I think that it is imperative for everyone to follow natural law because it is the structural integrity of any functioning society.

Natural law's I believe would be sympathy,understanding,kindness among others.

Natural law is

Rule 1. Respect other people and there property. Do not steal, murder, assault, rape, and so on.

Rule 2. Everyone has the right to defend themself, there family, and others from those who violate rule one.

I think everyone knows this one.... by: Rudyard Kipling
NOW this is the Law of the Jungle — as old and as true as the sky;
And the Wolf that shall keep it may prosper, but the Wolf that shall break it must die.

As the creeper that girdles the tree-trunk the Law runneth forward and back —
For the strength of the Pack is the Wolf, and the strength of the Wolf is the Pack.

Wash daily from nose-tip to tail-tip; drink deeply, but never too deep;
And remember the night is for hunting, and forget not the day is for sleep.

The Jackal may follow the Tiger, but, Cub, when thy whiskers are grown,
Remember the Wolf is a Hunter — go forth and get food of thine own.

Keep peace withe Lords of the Jungle — the Tiger, the Panther, and Bear.
And trouble not Hathi the Silent, and mock not the Boar in his lair.

When Pack meets with Pack in the Jungle, and neither will go from the trail,
Lie down till the leaders have spoken — it may be fair words shall prevail.

When ye fight with a Wolf of the Pack, ye must fight him alone and afar,
Lest others take part in the quarrel, and the Pack be diminished by war.

The Lair of the Wolf is his refuge, and where he has made him his home,
Not even the Head Wolf may enter, not even the Council may come.

The Lair of the Wolf is his refuge, but where he has digged it too plain,
The Council shall send him a message, and so he shall change it again.

If ye kill before midnight, be silent, and wake not the woods with your bay,
Lest ye frighten the deer from the crop, and your brothers go empty away.

Ye may kill for yourselves, and your mates, and your cubs as they need, and ye can;
But kill not for pleasure of killing, and seven times never kill Man!

If ye plunder his Kill from a weaker, devour not all in thy pride;
Pack-Right is the right of the meanest; so leave him the head and the hide.

The Kill of the Pack is the meat of the Pack. Ye must eat where it lies;
And no one may carry away of that meat to his lair, or he dies.

The Kill of the Wolf is the meat of the Wolf. He may do what he will;
But, till he has given permission, the Pack may not eat of that Kill.

Cub-Right is the right of the Yearling. From all of his Pack he may claim
Full-gorge when the killer has eaten; and none may refuse him the same.

Lair-Right is the right of the Mother. From all of her year she may claim
One haunch of each kill for her litter, and none may deny her the same.

Cave-Right is the right of the Father — to hunt by himself for his own:
He is freed of all calls to the Pack; he is judged by the Council alone.

Because of his age and his cunning, because of his gripe and his paw,
In all that the Law leaveth open, the word of your Head Wolf is Law.

Now these are the Laws of the Jungle, and many and mighty are they;
But the head and the hoof of the Law and the haunch and the hump is — Obey!

I recall a Yellowstone documentary where they were following wolf packs, for years to the extent that they named the packs and at least the alpha couples, maybe more. The pack with the prime real estate got kicked out by another pack. The new pack didn't live in harmony with the other animals the way that the original pack did. A coyote couple used to be able to scraps of the kill when the wolves were done. The new pack brutally murdered the coyote male while the female could do nothing but watch from a distance almost receiving the same fate. The documentary then took a strange turn. A pack of only large males(not heard of) that have never been seen before arrived on the scene. They instantly came after the residing wolf pack, killed every single one of them and then left the area as quickly as they arrived. Shortly after, the original wolf pack returned to the prime area.

Sounds like The Council paid them a visit.

Is natural law animal law?
You people sound like it's normal to be a bunch of animals.
God made us above these animals and their laws.

When I think of natural laws, I look at the laws God put in place at the time of creation.
He set the boundaries between the seas and the land, as well as the distance of the sun and moon, each having influence upon the other.
He has set many limits, such as dogs do not give birth to cats, and whales do not give birth to sea Lyons.
God has enabled, and put things in a natural order. This, is natural law.

Recently, a friend was driving to work and a tree fell on his car and it broke his neck. God did not cause this incident. Though tragic, it was not God punishing him. It was merely natural law, for a tree does not fall upward, lest fall means up.

Not to be rude, but that means homosexuals fall outside of natural law.

Does it? We see this activity in other species and there is even a female fish that can completely turn into a male, and procreate.

When God finished the biblical creatio event outlined in genesis 1, he said it was good. Outside of Eden was still full of chaos, and humanity was told to subdue it. Had it been perfect, it would have been finished, but it isn't finished.

God created the beast and the lavithian, and we know better than to mess with either. If we do, we shall be hurt, or die. That's natural law, and was put in motion.

Natural law does not say life is fair. It sets the rules and boundaries. It does not say one cannot break the rules. Or cross the boundaries. For example, God did not tell Adam and Eve that they could not eat of the fruit, because they most certainly could, and they did.

In the same way, natural law is set in motion. One can jump into a volcano if it is his or her desire, but natural law will come into effect as the person who enters the lava is burned to a crisp. If you stumble and fall in front of a truck, you will get hurt, or possibly die.

God did not burn this fictitious person to a crisp, nor meme or kill the clumsy pedestrian. Natural law states that lava will incinerate flesh and moving steel hitting a person will mame or kill him.

Well, I could walk through a wall, if there was a hole in it. I could fly, in an airplane. I could walk on water, if it was frozen.

Mr. Bolts, you are putting yourself outside the Bible and into the middle of worldly thought when you suggest homosexuals go to heaven.
The Bible says be fruitful and multiply.
It doesn't say feel free to live a lifestyle of sodomy.
