Vote and discuss!

please vote and discuss, and if you chose 'other' please tell us more!

the genres can be applied to both Christian and Secular music, this is not directed at either Christian or Secular music, this poll and discussion are for both - in general.

Lol. I guess i was the only one to vote on the poll :lol

I picked country. I love the sound of it. I like how it talks about real life whilst rap talks about a state of nature, and crime, drugs, money, hoes. I relate to it best, being sad a lot and stuff ;) Or maybe it's the music that makes me sad :gah lol. :lol

I love certain artists too. #1 fan of George Strait right here! I also enjoy a little bit of Brad Paisley, Tim Mcgraw, Taylor Swift, Gretchen Wilson, Kenny Chesney, and some more.

Like I said I get int certain people, people like Patsy Cline, I love her, groups like Poco, America, Crosby, Still's & Nash and Young, I also love Dolly P, and about 10 others.

I couldn't choose, not even in my own poll! I love pretty much all of them except country, soul, rap and hip-hop.

Becasue I'm a drummer, that's probably why I love the rock and metal, and the jazz is soothing.

I've been to a few shows,

Garage Hymnal (three times)
Jethro Tull

and most recently DREAM THEATER! That was absolutely AWESOME!!!!!!

I would have loved to see story of the year of MCR, but not many bands come down under very often, and when they do, it's expensive. :crying. For instance, two years ago Bon Jovi came to Sydney, but I couldn't see it becasue the worst seast were about $200, and a decent seat was over $300! :verysad

I've only been to a few shows. :sad

ZZ Top
Ozzy Ozbourne
Head East
Kansas
Journey
Head East again
Head East again

:tongue

ooh I bet dream Dream Theater was awesome :biggrin

Some more bands I like:

Radiohead
Avenged Sevenfold
Blur
The Red (they are Christian)
The Clash
Flogging Molly
Dropkick Murphys
Finch
Sonic Youth
The Vines
Story of the Year
Unwritten Law
The Wallflowers
Yeah Yeah Yeah's

I voted "other" because Progressive Rock was not listed.

My favorite secular band has been Yes for many years. I do like Southern Rock, Metal and just plain ol' school rock as well.

Lynyrd Skynyrd blew me away a few years ago. Gotta love any band with three lead guitars. :thumb
