as we no longer believe or abide in Him and His word then we are like that branch that is cut from the vine and will be burned in the fire, Ephesians 1:3-14; John 15:1-8.
Eph 1:3-14 says nothing about a branch. Contrary to your tagging it. What it does say, however, is how long we have the Holy Spirit (namely, until the final redemption).

And John 15:1-8 is about how the vine bears much fruit. By the vinedresser pruning it!

The redemption of the purchased possession means Christ who is the purchased possession ...
Oh my. Christ is the purchased possession huh??? That’s your defense???

We are “His possession”. Christ is not the purchased possession in this passage.

Cherry picking verses in order to claim everything accomplished on the cross and in the redeemed can be undone by a will, ours, greater than the God that knew us before the womb. And knew we would come to his son so as to have our names in that son's book of life before creation began.

It can be called a heresy though that's simply something that is a teaching outside of what is traditionally Orthodox. Instead, what the movement demonstrates as it works all across the Internet is a pitiable shame. And yet, when the movers are presumed to live that shame they hope to draw others to believe, it is a catastrophe that is allowed to continue.

Which is why it is vital when that movement is encountered that the Christian repel it with the truth of God's word.Since cherry picking to lead people away from the truth of God and eternal salvation is afoot it should be rebuked in the manner it is familiar with.

Anyone who happens into this thread looking to find their way to Christ, do not believe Christ died so that you could be saved and then cast him away due to some now unforeseen circumstance or reason and Christ in turn would reciprocate and toss you back on the road to Hell.

That is not why he died for you.

The road to Hell is paved with falsehoods that hope to detour the hearts alive with God straight into damnation.

That is what is afoot when you read the movement that wants to make you believe, over and over again in the effort, that you can return to that road by your own choice. And God shall let you go. After washing you clean, indwelling you with his Holy Spirit, and knowing that one name written in his Son's book of life, known as The Lamb's Book of Life, is now able to be erased. Because God didn't know you as well as he thought he did.

Don't believe that. Let liars go to Hell. Let those who seek to be saved eternally through the gift of God's grace that bestowed the salvation covenant into the world through the death on the cross of himself as his only begotten son be known. Because it is the one gift that keeps on giving, never grows old, and never ever goes away. Even when you may stray, God does not leave you. He knows you because he is alive inside you.
Those who are in Christ do not keep on sinning. Those who keep on sinning have never known Christ. That is scripture. And that is what compels that which is not saved, is in its sin, to tell you that you are one with them. Because the focus of that movements entire existence in the world is to teach Christians and seekers of the way to God that once there, it doesn't last.
Pray for the damned. But don't you ever, ever, believe in them. Believe in Christ. Because he believes in you.

This is my compilation that assures you of eternal irrevocable salvation. It is cherry picked verses to rebuff the anti-gospel's tactics that employ the same method to preach against Christ and his sacrifice for you the Christian, for you the seeker of Christ. It is shared and given my permission to copy and paste it anywhere at all on the Net where you may find the anti-gospel, the anti-good news, the anti-eternal salvation message. We are to meet the Devil wherever he is and armored with the truth of God defeat his purpose. It is my hope and prayer anyone who seeks to share this in their commitment to defeat the devil and his minions be blessed with God's mercy and empowerment to that end. Amen.

John 5:24 ,Romans 6:23 ,Ephesians 2:8 , John 6:37,1 John 5:12,1 John 5:18,Ephesians 2:8-9, John 3:16-17, Hebrews 10:10, Romans 6:23, James 1:17, Romans 11:29
Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life. For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord,For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God,All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never cast out.Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.We know that everyone who has been born of God does not keep on sinning, but he who was born of God protects him, and the evil one does not touch him.For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him shall not perish but have immortal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.And by that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change. For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.
Of course we have eternal life with the Father as it is given to those who believe and abide in Christ and His word. I have never said we do not so where you getting all this from. Cherry picking is displaying a single scripture to prove a point. That I have not done as I have given many scriptures that state we do have eternal life when we believe and abide in Christ and also what happens if we no longer believe or abide anymore. No one can pluck a person out of Gods hands as this is true, but they them self can by allowing themselves to fall away and have hardened their heart towards God especially having known His truths.

This is another misunderstanding or misreading of the text. Eph 1:13,14 does NOT SAY that the Holy Spirit "seals us with a promise". That is false. The Holy Spirit Himself IS the seal. We are sealed WITH the Holy Spirit. If your interpretation was correct, the wording would be "sealed BY the Holy Spirit. He IS the seal. Please read more carefully.

Having to use metaphors/figures of speech to support one's theology is a weak argument.

Failure to understand the word "abide" leads to false conclusions and erroneous understanding of God's word.

Correct. God's discipline towards His rebellious children, just as human parents provide discipline to their own rebellious children.

Nowhere in Heb 10 do we find the words "will lose salvation" or anything close to that.
I'm tired of your attacks on what I believe as I have given scripture and have explained in great detail what each one says and have given the opposite as what it means to no longer believe and abide in Christ and His word.

Maybe you need to explain with exact words from scripture what salvation is, what belief is and what abide means as I am getting tired of the nitpicking of what I believe scripture is saying and you accusing me of being wrong.

And a faulty assumption at that. One has to wonder where the idea of a person being pleasant tasting to God for God to love them (or save them) comes from, really.

For while we were still being weak, yet at the right-time, Christ died for ungodly ones. ...
But God demonstrates His own love for us because while we were still being sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 5:6,8 - https://www.biblegateway.com/passage?search=Romans 5:6,8&version=DLNT
Matthew 5:13 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.

John 15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. 6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.

Go ahead and dispute what Christ has said.

What do we posses that brings salvation, nothing, as we are as a filthy rage to God, Isaiah 64:6. It was Christ who purchased our sin upon the cross as He shed His blood for all who will believe and abide in Him have eternal life with Him. It is Christ that redeems us from the curse of the law.

I've saved it to my file for use in future.
Fortunately it doesn't take much to realize it is but a handful of anti-gospel preachers actively pursuing this game.
Though you'll find their kind in most any Christian forum.
Instead of criticizing and passing judgement why not give us your answer to what specifically is guaranteed

Judgment and criticism is warranted against the anti-gospel disciples that speak repeatedly against Jesus' mission to earth. Dedicated to installing doubt into new Christians, and sidelining sinners who may seek Christ but then happen to find a teaching that insists all that those sinners may have thought about the Gospel message finding it broadcast on TV or anywhere at all, is stated as a falsity on a forum named after that Savior and populated by those who hold faith in him.

And when Jesus teachings that teach what is specifically guaranteed by his death on the cross, which is eternal salvation through faith by God's grace, not by works that we may do, not lost by working to lose it, but is an eternal seal unto the end of time, and that is not enough for the anti-gospel coalition, literally in the end, to Hell with them. Because God knows the names of every sheep that will hear the voice of truth, Jesus teachings, and follow him. And when we do Jesus will NEVER CAST US OUT! And we can never leave him because we are known by God first. We were Christ's before we were born.

2 Timothy 1:9 AMPC

[For it is He] Who delivered and saved us and called us with a calling in itself holy and leading to holiness [to a life of consecration, a vocation of holiness]; [He did it] not because of anything of merit that we have done, but because of and to further His own purpose and grace (unmerited favor) which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began [eternal ages ago].

When Jesus' words don't teach the anti-gospel coalition the truth, and thread after thread started by them and addressed by those who are in Christ so as to revoke their falsity with scriptures doesn't work, to Hell with them. Literally, that is the fate of that which thinks to mislead the saints sanctified eternally in Christ.
They did work their way to that end. Eternal damnation in Hell. And some talked , or typed, their way there. Thread after thread in Christian religious forums all over the Web.

Those who are eternally in Christ shall not be moved.
Witnessing the effort expended to that end by those who do not know that is a lesson for us as well.

I will also say that not talking to those who seek attention in their pursuit of leading people to believe the Gospel is a lie would likely make any forum less busy. And yet, perhaps that movement would die of starvation for lack of the attention it craves.

This is my answer:
"So, what is the "day of redemption"? I believe it is when the believer enters eternity. Which is guaranteed for those having believed."

If that's not clear enough, there is nothing left to say. But my answer is fully biblical.
So your answer to the question what is “garaunteed to come” is -
So what is the day of redemption?

:hysterical:hysterical

Very well thought out thread.

Let me know when you can honestly answer the OP of your own thread.

Here is the question again.

What is it, that is garaunteed to come?

Why should an opposing view be called an "attack"? I have explained in great detail what each of your verses say and have pointed out frequently that the phrase "as long as" doesn't occur in the Bible regarding salvaition being conditioned on anything other than simply receiving it.

Maybe you need to explain with exact words from scripture what salvation is, what belief is and what abide means as I am getting tired of the nitpicking of what I believe scripture is saying and you accusing me of being wrong.
I've already explained what "abiding" means; fellowship.

As to explaining "with exact words from Scripture wha salvation is", I direct your attention to John 20:31 - But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.

I have accused your views as being wrong because they are based on salvation be maintained "as long as...". Yet, you've not provided ANY verse tha says so, and you even defended adding words to Scripture that aren't there.

That is wrong, plain and simple. There's no other way to say it.

John 10:28 is a very plain and straightforward statement of eternal security.

Whether that was noted or not makes no difference. Because Jn 3;5-7 doesn't even mention the sealing with the Holy Spirit, so how is that passage relevant to our discussion?

You said: Having to use metaphors/figures of speech to support one's theology is a weak argument.

They are not mine, but the metaphors and figures Christ used.
But He wasn't referring to loss of salvation. Why is it so impossible to realize that because of what He said in John 10:28 about recipients of eternal life never perishing, that IF He ever said that salvation could be lost, He would have contradicted Himself?

Oh right. By adding the phrase "as long as..." to what He said, one feels justified in believing that recipients of eternal life CAN perish.

Amazing.

Please use scripture to explain abide if it does not say to abide in Christ and His word.
Of course we are commanded to abide in Christ. And John 15 gives us the REASON for doing so. And it isn't to remain saved. It's to bear much fruit. Jn 15:5

Please use scripture to explain what fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation means
With pleasure.

Heb 12:11 - No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.

Lest anyone who reads this dismisses God's discipline as a mere "hand slap" or some other minor action, consider 1 Cor 5:5 - hand this man over to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, so that his spirit may be saved on the day of the Lord.

Or 1 Tim 1:20 - Among them are Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I have handed over to Satan to be taught not to blaspheme.

Does it seem reasonable to believe that when Satan is permitted to "have at it" with believers needing discipline, that he'd just be happy for some hand slapping?

Please believe that God's discipline can be quite painful, just as Heb 12:11 says.

I'm not into those phony TV preachers that love to line their pockets with poor widows last penny nor do I accept all the teachings that on on the internet. All my teachings come from the KJV of the Bible and nothing more than Strong's Exhausted Concordance.

Please show me within all I have posted that I am teaching against salvation and eternal life. Why would I being a blood bought Child of God through Gods grace that has redeemed me from the curse of the law by faith in the finished works of the cross that Jesus shed His blood and laid down His life for me. What I have said all along with the scriptures I have posted is that we have to abide in Christ and His word, keep His commandments and walk in them as we walk in the greatest commandment of love. If we are not abiding in Christ and His word and not keeping His commandments then we will look for the fiery indignation of God in His judgement explained in Hebrews 10:26-39.

BTW, you never answered the OP question of what specifically is guaranteed. If you did I must have missed it.

I'm tired of your attacks on what I believe.....
That you believe you are entitled to lead people to believe as you do and turn from the truth of eternal irrevocable salvation.
I’m sure the Judaizers said that salvation isn’t by works either lol! Losing salvation by works is to believe salvation is gained by works and must be maintained by works. The deception is clear to the elect of God in Christ. Riding the fence, are those who can not stand on either side of this topic, like the mods. Eternal life and forgiveness of sins rest in Christ and He alone. Ones works plays no part towards their justification before God. But ones works show evidence of being truly saved by Gods grace
As I see things as a born again, key words there, Christian who is blessed by faith to have received the calling unto God's free gift by his gracious offering of his son on the cross to have eternal salvation, the question becomes when encountering what has rightly been identified here as the anti-gospel; does it make sense?
Let us review what the Bible teaches. The Bible. Not people but God's inspired word received by his anointed.

We cannot do anything to save ourselves.
Never could.
The sacrificial system in the ancient times among the Jews covered sins but did not wipe them out eternally. Faith then did save. But sins had to be atoned for by blood sacrifice. Remember the story, the challenge to faith that God posed to Abraham concerning the life of his son?

God was gracious enough to send his only begotten son upon the virgin girl Mary. That she birth to live the Savior of the world. While still living in the Hebrew sacrificial system.
Jesus died on the last altar to be constructed to take the last perfect lamb that would be sacrificed for all people, for all time, for all sins. And whoever believes in him, in that, will not then die in their sins. But shall have life eternal with the Father. And Jesus promised, no one can snatch those who come to him in faith from his hand.

All that Jesus' Father in Heaven give him he shall never cast out. All of this is in the four synoptic, meaning four books that are synonymous with the one message of eternal salvation through Christ Jesus. The books of, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.

Now here is what the anti-gospel messengers don't get. When fallen dead in our sins sinners could never work to save ourselves, how is it anyone who is in Christ would ever try and insist we can work to damn ourselves after we're saved?

We didn't believe in Jesus before we found him. When we found him and believed in his message because it resonated as truth in our hearts,as the Father God that sent Jesus knew it would and so much so that he knew us by name before he made this world we live in, does it make any kind of sense at all to that one who is in Christ, that even if we stop holding faith, that that same God that did all that I mentioned on our behalf before the world came to exist by his will, that that same God would stop believing in us?
When he gave his son to die for us and knew we would accept him so much so that he inscribed our names in Heaven where we are bound, in that book of life, because not only did God know we would know Jesus name when we heard his Gospel, but that was because Jesus knew our name when he called us to him with his Gospel.

The anti-Gospel teachers don't think like that. The hubris, the ego, the arrogance, the universally enormous pride, that resides in such a teacher, a false speaker, is unfathomable until you hear them try and convince you, and me, and anyone else that will listen, that we know more than God.

That's how small those people really are. And we were warned about that too. False teachers seeking to mislead even the saints.
Now, it is likely a false-gospel apostle will pipe right up and say, "scripture please?" I wouldn't know if that happens. The answer to that? For all the good it has ever done?
The Bible baby! Cover to cover and back to front. Not snip and paste to make the point of anti-gospel. The BIBLE in full because Jesus was in the old testament and the new. And one can't have the new without the context in the old.

Ideally, stop trying to reason with an egocentric humanist belief system.
God knows his own.

John 10:28 is a very plain and straightforward statement of eternal security.
Grace - undeserved, unmerited favor,

Abiding - continuing without change; enduring; steadfast: an abiding faith.

Salvation - the deliverance of man or soul from the power or penalty of sin, redemption

Repent - change, transform, transfigure, reconsider

Salvation is only that of being saved from the curse of the law through that of Christ life, death and resurrection. John 3:5-7; Romans 10:9, 10; Galatians 3:13. We as a blood bought child of God in whom Christ has redeemed from the curse of sin must abide in Him and His word, John 15:5-8 and that through much tribulation, Acts 14:22; we have to endure unto the end. The end meaning after the gospel has been preached to all the world, Matthew 24:13, 14. Then the promise of our inheritance which is eternal life as we have been sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise, John 14:26, Ephesians 1:11-17, is rewarded unto to us as we hear those wonderful words, "Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world", Matthew 25:34-40.

Mark 2:19 And Jesus said unto them, Can the children of the bridechamber fast, while the bridegroom is with them? as long as they have the bridegroom with them, they cannot fast. 20 But the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken away from them, and then shall they fast in those days.

As long as Christ is with us as He is ever present in us and we in Him we need not fast anymore under the New Covenant, but there comes a day when Christ returns and sends His angels our to gather up His elect to Him and then those who have not repented and turned back to God will mourn as they see Him coming in the clouds.

John 9:1 And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth. 2 And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind? 3 Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him. 4 I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work. 5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.

As long as Jesus was in the world He was the light of the world as the works of God should be made manifested in Him. As long as we believe, those same works are manifested through us as being the light of Christ in the world as it is God who manifests His works through us as we abide in Christ and His word.

I can't lead anyone to believe me nor do I even ask others to believe me, but to take the scriptures given as a whole and study them for their self by praying and asking the Holy Spirit to reveal truth to them. I can see by the couple of responses none have even taken the time to read and study them as a whole, but would rather accuse me of being a false teacher teaching an anti-gospel. All you see are the scriptures of abiding in Christ and His word and the promise of eternal life that we can never lose. Yes, I agree with all those scriptures, but also the ones that are ignored by some that warn us what happens if we fall away and never return back to Gods grace before Christ returns as once He returns there is no coming back to Him as the door of Salvation will then be closed.

Ok folks, this topic always leads to problems. No more "anti-gospel" or "heresy" comments. Report posts you think violate the TOS. I will remove future offenders from this thread who violate the above. Don't shoot the messenger. And don't respond to my post here. That's an automatic removal from a thread. I don't make the rules, just enforce them.

Please show me within all I have posted that I am teaching against salvation and eternal life.
I don't believe anyone has made that charge. The issue is teaching that salvation can be lost, in spite of no verses that say so in plain words.

And to the contrary, a verse has been shown that directly indicates that recipients of eternal life shall never perish.

Abiding - continuing without change; enduring; steadfast: an abiding faith.

Salvation - the deliverance of man or soul from the power or penalty of sin, redemption

Repent - change, transform, transfigure, reconside
Where did you get these definitions?

BTW, if salvation means redemption then what is guaranteed in Eph 1:14?

Who is a pledge of our inheritance until the [final] redemption of His possession for the praise of His glory.
