We are not angels, we are humans. As per the bible we were put in a position above the angels, which is why they envy us.

I agree with the first part of that except why would be placed above the angels and why would they be envious of us? They're (except for Satan and all of the other angels turned evil) in Heaven (I have nicknamed it Neverland) already and we're stuck down here on earth. Shouldn't it be the other way around?

Sorry, I slightly misspoke. Here is what I was thinking about: while we are here on earth we are made slightly lower than the angels (this is identified in Hebrews 2 where it identifies that Jesus was made slightly lower than the angels because he took on human form), however, as in 1 Corinthians 6 it is identified by Paul that we will someday judge the angels. Also, once we are in heaven we will be sons and daughters of God (John 1), whereas the angels will still be servants. That would most certainly cause some envy amongst the angels.

can you quote.....

Oh okay, now I get it. Thanks for clearing that up for me. By the way, if you're curious why I have nicknamed Heaven Neverland, check out the poem that I posted in Books and Other writings that will explain it.

1 Corinthians 15:39 All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds. 40 There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another.

Humans can not be angels. Terrestrial is of the earth in that man was created from the dust of the earth and became a living soul, Genesis 2:7. Angels, even also created by God, Colossians 1:11-17, are celestial as in spirit form, not of flesh and bone like humans.

What do you mean that humans cannot be angels!? I'm certainly a little angel myself. :halo *noise that is the sound of my nose growing as long as Pinocchio's* LOL! I'll just prepare to get slapped now LOL!!! Please be gentle about it though. I still have the slapped car of when I bumped my forehead on the coffee table when I was little. And I haven't ever been since LOL I don't need anymore injuries like that LOL

I'm to tired to slap you so could you please run into my hand a few times, LOL.

Hmmm,.. let me think about this. Nah,.. I think we can let this one slide LOL! Besides I've been smacked upside the head so many times as well as on my behind (both didn't hurt lol) that I lost track. Lol, in fact instead of a hug I wouldn't be surprised if I got smacked by Jesus thinking that He didn't know how much I loved Him and trusted in Him those times I doubted His love for me. In fact He would probably have to get in line because I know for a fact that other people in Heaven will want to have their chance LOL

I guess I'm what you could call...an unprofitable servant.
Luke 17:7-10
7 And which of you, having a servant plowing or tending sheep, will say to him when he has come in from the field, ‘Come at once and sit down to eat’?8 But will he not rather say to him, ‘Prepare something for my supper, and gird yourself and serve me till I have eaten and drunk, and afterward you will eat and drink’? 9 Does he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded him? I think not.[a] 10 So likewise you, when you have done all those things which you are commanded, say, ‘We are unprofitable servants. We have done what was our duty to do.’” .../(NKJV)

We're not Angels. We were created differently and have a different destiny within the same Kingdom!

I got smacked by Jesus

Count your Blessings! I got chopped all the way down to the ground...twice! I guess I'm a slow learner, lol. They say it builds up my character and perseverance and I hope so, so that it was worth it, lol!!
Is that teaching me the skills and patience that I will need for my new station in life, in Heaven? Patience, contentment and endurance? Kinda sounds like social worker skills, lol! A desk job?! Kewl!!

What is the single most stressful job on earth? Where...you have to have patience, no matter what anyone says?
