B.H.C.: I believe the goofball was posting on 123 Forums! :-D

LITTLETON, Colo. -- A Breckenridge construction worker is recovering after going to the dentist for a toothache that turned out to have been caused by a 4-inch nail lodged in his skull.

Patrick Lawler had a nail in his head for six days and didn't realize it. (Slideshow: See More Amazing X-Ray Images)

Patrick Lawler, 23, said he was using a nail gun on Jan. 6 when it backfired, firing a nail into a nearby piece of wood. And, unbeknownst to him, a second nail went through the roof in his mouth, and into his head -- about an inch and a half into his brain -- barely missing the back of his eye.

Wow... Don't let my wife see that article! :-D

And just to think, I was just using my nail gun with 4" nails this weekend!! I use safety glasses, but I don't think they would stop a nail from going into your head.
When I use my roofing nail gun, (summer side work) we will usually take and make a target on the ground and see who can make the bull's eye 8- I'm an ACE) , but I'd never attempt to shoot the big 4" guy! That's just plain scarey!
BTW, I shot a roofing nail through my partners finger installing soffit with the nail gun, which I told him WASN'T a good idea. He told me to fire, I asked if his hand was out of the way. He said fire... So I did...
