On another forum I used to frequent they had a large thread dedicated to your daily meal(s) of choice and even had members swapping recipes.

So with that said:

What did you have for Breakfast, Lunch, or Dinner today?

Today for dinner I am currently having chicken stir fry with onions and red peppers. Mmmmm it tastes like healthy Chinese food (but no greasy taste). For desert? A delicious apple. Yum!

Your turn...

Most mornings I have nothing for breakfast (unless it's a weekend and then I can take my time to make something).

Today for breakfast: Applesauce before I left, then when I got to work I ate a sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit and some fruit from our building's cafe.

Lunch: Ham, dressing with gravy, and some kind of corn casserole (also from the cafe).

Dinner: ??? Pizza probably, and some key lime pie.

....the life of a bachelor.

You poor bachelors :rolling

And Josh, I love eating those during Halloween. For some strange reason they always push those candy apples during Halloween and place them every where which reminds me they exists and then causes me to buy them. Sneaky :chin

Tonight for dinner... I had an cheeseburger from the ice cream shop, followed by a chocolate cherry delight sundae. Mmm, mmm, mmm.

I really need to do some grocery shopping soon... get some vegetables in me. Too much dairy lately. :lol

I thought this was supposed to be your meal of choice, as in - what's your favorite meal?

Josh, you should always have something for breakfast. tsk, tsk, tsk.

B - Oatmeal (like almost every other morning)

L - blackbeans & rice (kind of an odd pleasure ever since I traveled to Brazil)

D - pounded some leftovers, Italian sausage in a bun & chips. We usually do a good job of sitting down as a family, but I was off to my mens Bible study.

Favorite dinner - Mexican - chicken enchiladas, oh man!

(Mike, I fixed the OP to make it more clear. If it's a daily thing this thread can go on for miles on end ;))

Do you mix your black beans and rice together and eat it that way? Mmm, I do.

Mike you had italian sausage for dinner? Where did you get that recipe from? A spammer? :rolling (See PB thread post #1720 for understanding) :biggrin

In my mind i had biscuits and gravy with a side of fried taters cant let any gravy go to waste..

Really a hard boiled egg

a diet pepsi and a orange

Well, at first glance, I thuoght this thread would be a good way to hold myself accountable. I'm trying to change my eating habits to a healthier diet. But, after reading what some of you are eating, it just makes me hungry, lol! I'm going to pretend I didn't see anything about key lime pie.:help

For me, this morning was oat cereal with almonds with skim milk and I'm nursing a Diet Coke. This will be my only soft drink today. I will switch you water. Not sure what's for lunch yet, but supper will be grilled portabellas, baked potato, and grilled chicken breast. I might end up with a tiny piece of steak in place of the chicken breast if I skip the baked potato and go for a salad, lol.

Breakfast: 3 egg whites, 2 egg yolks, scrambled together with some green peppers and red onions, then put into a tortilla with 1/4 cup of cheese. Mmm, mmm, mmm.

Raising your own chickens is awesome. Eggs anytime you want them! :biggrin

Still Blessed, your dinner sounds really good! Unfortunately for me, I'm not sure what portabellas are? :lol I've heard the name, I just can't place it with anything.

and I'm nursing a Diet Coke.

TheLords, do we love this member, or what? God Bless you, SB! :yes I am pretty health conscious, but Diet Coke is my jones. I drink it like they made the last batch! :lol It's the perfect beverage for all three meals and every moment in between. :thumbsup

A form of gumbo/soup with sausage chicken and shrimp. and hot garlic bread loaded enough to feel the heat of the garlic.... :yes :pepsi

Another coke drinker! :clap God is good! :biggrin

Reba your garlic bread sounds absolutely delicious!

As for me today I had an omelet with veggies! It was delicious :nod gungho I think you definitely inspired that meal :yes

Wowza, that sounds like a meal that would give me heartburn! :lol I can't eat too much spicy/hot foods, but the problem is they're usually the most delicious! :)

Last night I had a turkey sandwhich with spinach leaves, mustard, mayo, cheese, and dill relish. Topped it off with a root beer float.

This morning was a couple over easy eggs and some un-buttered toast to dip them in. :)

Portabellas are mushrooms, lol. We raise chickens, as well, and I agree about the eggs! Maybe it's in my head, but they seem to taste better than store bought. Thank you, fellow Coke fans!

Fettuccini with sundried tomatoes, aubergine, spring onion, cottage cheese, ( I don't like feta) pumpkin seeds, and black pepper.

Tip; I always have olive oil with fresh herbs and a garlic clove in the cupboard. It gives a lovely aroma to your food.

Explains why I didn't know that. I don't eat mushrooms. :lol

I totally agree! We've (my father and I) have been raising chickens for 3 years now, and you just can't beat the eggs! Everything about them tastes so much better than store bought! :yes

For lunch today, I had a Subway sandwhich, chicken breast on wheat bread with spinach leaves, tomatoes, green peppers, and red onions. For dinner I cooked up some lean steak, with some steamed veggies and 1/2 cup of whole-grain rice. :biggrin

I love pumpkin seeds! I used to eat them by the handfulls!

Ick on the cottage cheese though! I can't get over the texture. :lol

Thanks for the tip! My recipes are very, very basic. Usually a lean meat, veggies, and whole-grain rice or a sweet potatoe. I use olive oil to do a lot of the cooking, but I want to learn more about herbs and the like and how to apply them to cooking! :)

Wow, minus the cottage cheese this sounds absolutely delicious! How do you make your salads l'Chante?

For lunch I had a chicken salad with extra virgin olive oil and lemon juice as a dressing :biggrin
