Deb,
It is really none of my nor is it TOB's business to teach you third grade reading but just like reading you need the full context of this video or you will, as I've watched you do to me and to others, tear into one point, isolating it from the context and making logic useless in the ensuing discourse. This video is not that long, I watched it and there are points I had, with the MS, dropped. Please, it is like a short story, you need all of it for it to make sense.

No, he was hired to protect the citizens of the United States and that, he is not doing. God put him in the office because it is time for the Ezekiel Option (Exe. 37-39) to come into play. For that to happen the Us Must be weak and not willing or able to help Israel. God does not tell us to approve of the scoundrels He uses to spank us, He wants us to endure and to grow in the faith, in spite of these miserable examples of humanity. A whole Bible takes a life time but is so rich in content and lessons.

Depends on who you think hired him Bill..

Nope, in the US there is a job description he must fill. In years past he would have been impeached, removed, tried and imprisoned.
Ta American People have just grown a wide yellow stripe in the center of their backs.

i recall him saying that romans was obsolete. romans 1 in particular.
Thanks Jason, I just went to the net and think I found all that have been the most upsetting and used against him. (notice I am not saying used against him unfairly).
In the first one he is talking about gay marriage.....
On May 9, 2012, the President said:
[Michelle and I] are both practicing Christians and obviously this position may be considered to put us at odds with the views of others but, you know, when we think about our faith, the thing at root that we think about is not only Christ sacrificing himself on our behalf, but it's also the Golden Rule, you know, treat others the way you would want to be treated.[2]

This is the one I heard.....
At the "Call to Renewal" conference, Mr. Obama said:

Which passages of Scripture should guide our public policy? Should we go with Leviticus, which suggests slavery is ok and that eating shellfish is abomination? How about Deuteronomy, which suggests stoning your child if he strays from the faith? Or should we just stick to the Sermon on the Mount - a passage that is so radical that it's doubtful that our own Defense Department would survive its application? So before we get carried away, let's read our Bibles. Folks haven't been reading their Bibles.[3]

This is what he said about a scripture in Romans 1. Again when talking about civil marriages for gays. Which is what he proposed.
“If people find that controversial then I would just refer them to the Sermon on the Mount, which I think is, in my mind, for my faith, more central than an obscure passage in Romans,”

Yes, they just hid it, as they are doing now.
oh they don't hide it. i have seen men in some grey areas punished. it happened to men in my unit. albeit just article 15's nothing on the court martial level. which isn't crap. one man lost his sgt and got it back a few years later. he was a hot head but i will have to ask him to be sure of the account on why he was punished.

i understand the rules and why some of that is, but they do go to far with this stuff. the one that bothers me the most is the officer who was punished for ordering at civilian vehicle shot and destroyed for following the convoy closely and taking pictures. intel told the convoy commander they were doing that and he took that person out and was punished for that. he was an older man that served in the cav and said what i was thinking it was from my days as cav. he said it was common to do that in most wars with that stuff. so now its it basically we must wait till they are shooting at us first. sometimes its a bit too late to wait like that.

You responded to a post of mine in this thread in regards to Obama celebrating Ramadan, I was not lying when I said that. You can find several articles on-line about it, but here is one:

Last night, Obama sidekick Valerie Jarrett let the world know that our “Christian” President, Barack Obama, was celebrating the Muslim holiday of Ramadan in the White House.

Monday evening, the Iranian-born Jarrett proudly announced on Twitter that she was “celebrating the holy season of Ramadan here at the White House,” accompanied by a picture of Obama reading prepared notes to a large crowd of what appears to be people of Middle Eastern descent.

Jarrett used the hashtag, #OpportunityForAll and #iftar, which is the evening meal in which Muslims break their fast during the Islamic month of Ramadan.

okay treat others as i want to be treated is one thing. i don't want to marry a gay man. so if i don't why should want others to do that?that is a stretch. i can argue the position of libertarianism for that without the bible. its not the job of the government to determine whom we should love. of course that is a conundrum for the government since it must license that and also divorce laws on marriage is first try to save it.

You couldn't have heard much i just got through watching it for the first time..

It appears people hear the same words but they don't understand what is being said in the same way all the time.
So I was wondering if there was something specific that really jumped out to you.

oddly the dod allows for chaplains to opt out of counseling and marrying a gay couple. why cant the 50 states do that?

Thanks Jesse, This is current this year, 2014. I think that's probably a first too for the White House.
Ramadan and Jewish Passover Sedar and both a practicing Jew and a woman born in Iran, working for him at one time.
So what has he done to celebrate the Christian Passover, does anyone know who he ate with on Easter?

the first one is a commentary. do we know the content of the speech? giving a speech doesn't mean he celebrated it. what if an atheist came to church for easter. did he really celebrate it? not unless he is saved. a government official must be neutral. if i was potus, i wouldn't attend any. that way no one could say this about me.

A clerk or judge does not represent God as a pastor or chaplain does? It's job related?

the chaplain does represent their faith. it would kill any chance for me ever entering a chapel if they made them do that and they went along with that. trust me that faith keep me through a lot. the dod knows that to be very vital, a chaplain has more knowledge of what the moral is then the chain does as he is more approachable.

they sign the license just as any pastor does.

LOL Well, see how ya are. :hips
I get so frustrated with most of these things. They give snippets and I don't hear the context in most of them and I feel like I come away with little to no real solid info. that I can feel justified in hanging my hat on.

Obama has celebrated Ramadan every year he's been in office, here is another article of he celebrating it in 2013:
WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama saluted Muslim Americans on Thursday for their contributions in helping build the nation as business entrepreneurs, technology innovators and pioneers in medicine.

Obama spoke at a White House dinner he hosted to celebrate the Islamic holy month of Ramadan. The meal, or iftar, breaks the day of fasting when Muslim families and communities eat together after sunset.

Obama said Ramadan is "a time of reflection, a chance to demonstrate ones devotion to God through prayer and through fasting, but it's also a time for family and friends to come together."
