:eek2 You can't be serious. This is a joke right? In my book, the only reason to wish for winter to come soon is Christmas/New Years/my birthday. :dunce

Winter is better for my work than summer. To fix A/C's there is a ton of heavy crap to haul back and forth from the truck. Not so to fix a furnace, lol!.

Bring on winter, Lord! Lol

The summer is something I survive. I love the colder months. The colder the better. We have s farm and summer means at least 4-6 hours of mowing a week, weed whacking, hoeing, tilling and pulling weeds in the vegetable garden, weeding flower beds, fixing things and painting things outside in the heat, ticks, sweat, picking and canning tomatoes and green beans and other stuff.
There are a few pleasures but a lot of long days.
Cold weather means comfort and reading on the couch in front of a nice fire. Hikes through woods with no ticks and an invigorating brisk air.
Cold wakes me up and makes me feel more alive and happy to be active.

I used to own a boat when I was younger. I liked Summer better then. A backyard pool was also nice.

Nowadays, I just prefer mild weather. Older I guess.

I just like the wisdom of the older song

Beach Baby, Beach Baby, there on the sand
From July to the end of September
Surfin' was fun, we'd be out in the sun every day.

So.... beach baby only was there a month -- two yet to go. :lol

I like that song even though I never heard it before, but why totally disregard the month of June?

I will be reading evil electric meters in October. Those are spawns of the Devil.
While reading east of Charles parks, and on the Charles parka route,I spotted a nude smoker in his porch as I had to get a read. I forgot he was on this route the other is on the leisure square. This isn't uncommon ,homes habe out door showers here .one on the beach uses it daily .I have been blessed to see him use it.ugh .can't just miss these .

Not sure. The song takes place in LA Calif so its plenty warm in June. In these parts June can still be rather chilly for swimming. But just about anywhere July-September is warm. We took a Maine vacation last year in September and it was (unseasonably) warm in the 80's.

I guess it's official. Summer's about over. We (mostly, lol) installed the first furnace of the season today. There's also office chatter about starting to do service & inspections real soon, like the end of next week!

I love winter time more than summer time, as an hvac tech...less tools to carry in n out, it'll be the holiday season, which means lots of tips and cookies and foood lol. People like it when you fix their A/C, but it's like your a minor hero when you get them heat when it's cold. I like it. I like helping people.

I like summer too, but wow, the humidity in Ohio is...horrible. all You can do when it's like that is hide in the air conditioning. At least during winter you can go out if properly dressed. Move around and get warm! You can't do that in the hot humidity.

Oh yeah, that's right Edward, I completely forgot that you were another Ohioan.

When I posted this I asked Siri the Declination of the sun. It's 16º 02' 26.24''. I'm assuming geocentric although she knows my location so it could be topocentric. No matter, the difference would not be seen on my sundials anyway. :lol

Declination varies from 23.45 degrees north to 23.45 degrees south. 16 means we are running out of Summer. Sundials show time based on the sun's azimuth not the altitude.
